A lovely 3 star hotel in Athens,Greece at Karaiskaki square. The staff is friendly and professional. The breakfast and dinner(rooftop restaurant is closed in winter which is pretty normal) buffet is great with a lot of choices. I booked a nice double room for 7 nights and they gave us a room on the 6th floor with a small balcony. Near the hotel there is a bakery factory, restaurants, a mini market and a souvenir shop. Everything you need in just a couple of minutes walk. However just like in every major city there are zones and streets in which it's better to avoid. Other than this we really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The city center is also just like 10-15 minutes walk from the hotel. City crystal hotel is a three star hotel that exceeded my expectations. Thank you for your service and hospitality. We will surely book here again if we're coming back to Athens.

Convenient to all the major sites and with a good breakfast. Next door to the Bread Factory that serves great cafeteria style greek meals and an amazing array of Greek cakes and sweets.

The wifi constantly swung from available to non existent and worsened during peak times. The area around is a bit dodgy with homeless, drug affected and begging people around. Be aware.

The staff was so nice and helpful, when i asked for early entry breakfast because we have to catch a flight, they gave us breakfast boxes. The room was so clean, we stayed for 2 days, they cleaned the room each day. Everything was crystal clear. Breakfast was amazing! There were three types of eggs, croissants, various breads, fruits, cheese and ham, bacon, olives, butter, bunch of jams, some sweets, various teas, juices and coffees. I loved it a lot! The quality and taste of the products were quite good. Overall- price to performance ratio is so good.

The room was too small for 3 people, I don't think 3 adults should stay in a room like that. We couldn't walk while the other is walking. There was no area between one queen bed and one single bed. It might be okay with families who have a children under 10 maybe, but definitely not for 3 adults. Besides that, the only thing bothered me was the location. It was so close to the metro, but it is not in a good neighbourhood. I would never recommend to solo woman travelers to stay such area. I felt pretty unsafe while walking at dark to the hotel, around 22 (i think it is pretty early)- it was a dangerous place. This is not the hotel's problem, but i would not stay at that neighbourhood again.

Very nice hospitality service and great public communication options driectly from hotel to everywhere in Athens are guarantee to have good and safe time during stay (Hotel is next to Metaxourgeio metro station with great connections everywhere around). If you want visit Athens and have nice base to stay with views from Your room for Acropolis and Lycabettus hill choose this hotel. I liked breakfasts with every day nice hot and cold stuff on the buffet: Everybody fill find somenthig good for themself(I thank you for smoked bacon and local pickles ;). Additionall attitute is fact that so close in walking distance from hotel are few from best restaurants in Athens: f.ex:Thinalos. I had a great time there with my family and I can recommend this hotel for others.

Opinions from booking and google about location there. Ofcourse this is not some closed secured hotel district this is cassual city center of capitol city so always You can see different views but in my opinion this area currently is safe as every other part of Athens.

dosyc blisko It's quite close to the center, but we had to commute. There was a metro, but the receptionist immediately informed us about the hop-on hop-off bus option, which you can buy there. Breakfast is available, but the best one is open from 5 p.m. The bar is on the top floor with a view of the Acropolis. It's clean, but there's not much space inside, and there were three of us. ATMs and a bakery with other delicacies near the hotel

The ventilation system smelled a bit., the scale at the reception is a shame, the area is a bit shady I think

The place is very clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful, especially Thomas! He was very helpful in telling us where to go and how to get there. The view from our room was also very nice. The breakfast was something to look forward to; it got us up and out of bed when we really wanted to sleep in! Great experience overall!

I expected the room to have an actual balcony but maybe I didn't see the pictures clearly. The room and the bathroom were also a bit small and cramped, but nothing too uncomfortable.

The best feat of this hotel is the location, access to public transport (2 minutes to reach the station by walk), the access to some good restaurants. We stayed here for 3 days and we were for the most part of Athens outside the hotel, exploring. And so, if this is your itinerary, I'd say go for it. Its a good value for money with good selection of breakfast.

I got what I paid for. Maybe rooms can have a bit more space but again, this is Europe and this is not unusual. Plus we have our toddler so makes any room feel cramped with her toys everywhere.

I stayed in two different rooms in 5th and 6th floors, 2 nights and 1 night respectively Good location, served the purpose of my trip. Good breakfast. Left luggage service available.

It is true that the hotel is located in not a very quiet location. Safety could also be an issue if you walk around this area alone extensively. But If you are planning to use the metro to move around Athens then it should be ok...the metro entrance is less than 100 metres away. Furniture in the two rooms I stayed was is very old. The rooms need a good refurbishment. I got a special price because I visited in winter, so for the money I paid it was ok. I am not sure this would be true in summer.

I had a great stay at Crystal City Hotel. The check in was smooth as well as the check out. In my opinion the hotel is in a good location. Easy access to the tube station (everything was walkable wherever I went), and there were some really good restaurants nearby. I liked the breakfast and spent some really good relaxing time at the rooftop bar. Special thanks to Ares who has made the the best negroni ever and an excellent limoncello spritz! He was very kind and friendly!I have found im very easy to talk to. Thank you again!

As myself I am nearly 2m tall i have found the bathtub a bit small, however it did not bother me that much,

The breakfast was rich in options. Classic with the touch of Greek taste. The waiters were very helpful and were watching if something was about to finish to bring more. The location is very good, just around the corner is the M2 Metro line. The staff was polite and helpful in whatever I asked them. The room was getting cleaned everyday. The air-conditioning was fine. There is a small lobby with a small cafeteria and sandwiches. Coffee was good.

The wifi connection could be better. This need improvement. Because it is located in a busy main road when the window was open the noise was very much. But when the window was closed it was having sufficient sound proofing.
