Honestly the room rate at this hotel was so reasonable I wasn't expecting much. I'm leaving this review because I was so pleasantly surprised at the service, comfort and overall atmosphere at this little hotel that I feel it deserves high praise. First of all, the rooms are absolutely spotless. The bathroom was so clean it literally sparkled. Just so much attention to detail. The mattress was really comfortable and the only time I heard any noise at all was when someone was directly outside my door. Nothing at all from the other rooms. Koukaki is a fantastic neighborhood with so many interesting cafes and shops. It is an excellent choice if you want to be within easy walking distance to the main Athens attractions while experiencing some of the local flavor that you absolutely will not find in a neighborhood like Plaka, which, while beautiful, honestly feels a little too sterile. Even though the hotel is situated in a vibrant neighborhood full of Athenians doing their thing, the quiet cul-de-sac insulates it from the bustle and it was a pleasure to sit on my balcony in the evening and enjoy the peace. The staff. From front desk to cleaning, they are so helpful and just very pleasant to be around. I felt very welcome. Manos at the front desk had so much great advice, even about rather obscure places on Crete where I'm headed next. I was allowed to store my luggage after checkout, and he waited with me to make sure my taxi arrived on time. This hotel really is just a class act all around and I would 100% stay here again if I ever make it back to Athens. 11/5 stars.

Absolutely nothing I didn't like. Just keep in mind there is no elevator, so those with mobility issues or very heavy luggage might want to consider a room on the first floor.

The room is clean and comfortable for 2 of us. Manos is a wonderful and helpful man. He went all out to help us navigate from the apartment to the bus station where we wanted to get to Olympia. The apartment is conveniently located not far from the Synou-Fix metro station. There are many eateries and cafes around. As the location is not in the touristy area, prices are slightly lower than in Athens central

There is no one at the reception after 6pm. You have to pay extra if you wish to use the air-conditioniong. I did miss out on the fine print when booking. Nonetheless, it's not a big issue.

Because when I met thisfamily owned Marble House from the beginnjng And it was so pleasant snd the people so beautiful and friendly I said “ that’s where I will always stay if and when I come back to Athens” It was a pleasure meeting Nancie and Chris again and getting to know Manos and Susanne whom I could converse with in Ukrainian and understand most of her Russian in response Thank you for everything- it was a great pleasure to come back and I will recommend your place to any of my friends that decide to visit Athens The area around you has changed considerably since my last visit and has become SO beautiful Enjoy your summer! Location, cleanliness and room quality were exceptional. Location - close enough to landmarks yet also near enough to the locals to get a non-touristy experience of Athens. Cleanliness and Room Quality - Marble House is an oasis of a residence that gives you the space to rebuild after a long day of sight-seeing, with special attention to the interior decor.

Perhaps more staff interaction when you initially arrive to provide you with an overview of nearby facilities and the city in general. However, this is offset by their willingness to respond to any query you have in a timely and accurate fashion.

At different times we met three people on the reception desk, all very friendly, welcoming and helpful, for example, in taking our cases up three flights of stairs and making arrangements such as taxis from the airport and to the port, Piraeus. Our room, although small, was comfortable; and the balcony a joy. That all made our stay very pleasant and comfortable. For us Marble House was splendidly located in Athens, close to both the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum, near pleasant themed cafes, and a splendid taverna, recommended by the reception team, where we ate on several occasions.

The hotel was down a quiet street off the main roads, only a 10 minute walk away from the Acropolis and some great cafes and restaurants very close by. The staff were extremely helpful, supporting us from before we even arrived. Really impressed with how comfortable the beds were - extra pillows and blankets were in the wardrobe.

We loved the property, but it was easy to hear others staying in rooms next door. On our last day, one guest was particularly noisy late into the night, but this wasn’t any fault of the hotel. Our fridge in our room was quite loud, but we unplugged this during our stay, so it wasn’t an issue.

We recently spent five nights at the Marble House Hotel in Athens, and it was an absolute delight. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by how impeccably clean our room was, and the warm, welcoming nature of the staff made us feel right at home. They went above and beyond, offering us insider tips on the best local restaurants and authentic Greek taverns. Thanks to their fantastic recommendations, we avoided tourist traps and enjoyed delicious meals daily, immersing ourselves in the true flavors of Athens. The hotel’s location is perfect—nestled in a genuine Athens neighborhood that’s within comfortable walking distance of the city center, yet away from the hustle and bustle. If you’re looking for a cozy, family-run boutique hotel experience and prefer to steer clear of the larger chains, Marble House is the perfect choice. Our stay here was nothing short of wonderful, and we will definitely be returning whenever we find ourselves in Athens again! Highly recommended!

Everything was to our liking, we didn't have any problems at all.

Very clean, comfortable, in a calm street, albeit very close to a main artery of the city. Good location close to the Acropolis, close to the metro. Hot water in the bathroom. I recommend it. The ratio between price and quality is fair.

The room, and especially the bathroom, was tiny. There are many rooms in the not too big hotel and the corridor is covered with marble floor. In the mornings, we were waken up by the echoing steps of our neighbors and all those who took their showers in the separate bathroom next to our room.

The front desk manager was very kind throughout our stay and he offered help and recommendations. Our room with ensuite bath and balcony was spacious, clean and quiet. The location is in a more local area, which makes it a lot quieter than the touristy Pkaka area on the other side of the Acropolis. In addition, this location is very convenient for the museum and the Southeast entrance gate to the Acropolis. The Marble House is also conveniently located just about 250 meters from the Fix metro station, which we conveniently used to get to and from the airport.

I had a lovely stay at Marble House Hotel in Athens. I appreciated the option to choose between a room with a private bathroom or a room sharing a bathroom with another room – it made the stay very flexible. The hotel is impeccably clean, and the staff at the reception were incredibly kind, professional, and always ready to help with anything. The location is perfect for walking to the city center, and it’s very easy to reach both Athens Airport and Piraeus Port by metro. I truly felt at home here and will definitely be coming back!
