The view on the website sold this to me, and I booked a trip a year before I intended to. Great location, two minutes from Monastiraki, ten from Syntagma, lots of restaurants and shops nearby. I'm not a huge restaurant person or shopper but it all looked great. Nice hotel, unobtrusive staff, pleasant room. Nice roomy breakfast room: I only ever have cereal at breakfast, but there seemed to be plenty of choice for those with bigger appetites in the morning. As with all hotels and apartments everywhere, I found the bed too soft, but that's just me and my bad back complaining. Small balcony, not designed for sitting out of an evening: for that you go up to the lovely roof garden and have a beer or cocktail as the sky darkens and the city lights come on, and the Acropolis gazes down as she has for countless centuries. It was early May so the breeze was a bit cool by ten o'clock, but it's hard to tear yourself away. All around you the night sounds of the city ring out: music on the wind, cheering and clapping from nearby bars, laughter and voices echoing up from the lanes of Plaka.
I guess most people like marshmallow beds, so I shouldn't complain about that. Apart from that, nothing comes to mind. This was more expensive than I normally pay, and the quality was obvious.

Hotel is very centrally located, being only a short walk to the Acropolis & Museum, Ancient Agora, Roman Forum, Hadrians Library etc as well as being right next to the high street making it easy to simply walk out of the hotel and find numerous brilliant places to eat and drink. The view from the rooftop bar is also extrodinary and all the staff were super friendly and very helpful if you needed any recomendations of places to eat, drink or any advice getting around the city and seeing the sights.

The staff were so lovely, the location made most sites in athens walkable to and the breakfast had lots of options! The rooftop bar had a wonderful view.
The soundproofing on the rooms was non-existent. I could hear what was happening in someone else’s bathroom in my bathroom which was a little uncomfortable. The bathroom was also rusting and had a nail sticking out which felt a little unsafe.

Great location in the heart of the city of Athens. The room is clean and warm. Close to all the main attractions in Athens. The lady in breakfast room was very kind, with beautiful smile, she was there for all our requests. Breakfast is very good, varied and plentiful. I would recommend this accommodation to everyone and if we go to Athens again, we will choose this hotel. I would give the hotel a rating of 10, but because of the two employees at the reception, I have to give it a 9.
Two men at the reception. Very serious and strict, as if they were working in the police. Without smiles and kindness. They did not issue me an invoice for my stay, although I asked for it twice. The first time they told me that they would give me a receipt on the day of check-out. When I asked for the receipt again on the day of check-out, they didn't issue me an invoice and said they sent it to my email address, and when I checked my email, the receipt was gone. This is very strange.

The view of the Acropolis from the room even though it was on the 2nd floor. The bed was soft and comfortable, maybe a little too soft for me. Room keys also now control access to safe.
The shower could have been rain cloud rather than standard fitting - I can't remember what they were like on a previous stay. Bed was against the wall, so it was more like a single than a double for solo use. Having said this, the pre-booked price for the hotel in such a convenient city centre location was amazing. Early breakfast requests need some improvement - they don't seem to cater for vegetarians or special diets in these. I end up leaving most of it and I'm not a fussy eater!

The location of the hotel is perfect, in a quiet neighborhood in the old town. The room and bathroom was very clean and larger than we expected. The breakfast was also very good for us. The staff are extremely helpful and polite, During our stay there was a huge demonstration (everything was closed - no transportation) but we got extensive information about the strike a day before and continuously on that day too so we felt us in safe. The view from the roof bar is wonderful on the illuminated Acropolis in the evening. We are extremely satisfied. The hotel is highly recommended.

Brilliant hotel, in the middle of Plaka with a fantastic view from the rooftop bar. The room was on the small side however, this wasn't a problem as we weren't in it much, it was very comfortable and well decorated. Breakfast was great with a range of hot and cold choices that changed daily. Staff were all very friendly and helpful and always welcoming. They had arranged a taxi for when we were leaving and always giving us ideas for the day. It is a great value for money and very affordable!
There's was nothing concerning, I however wish there was a full-length mirror somewhere in the room.

The location cannot be beat. It is in the middle of everything and anywhere you wish to go is around the corner. The views are stunning - from the roof top bar "Door in Athens" with the amazing Panagiotis as manager and maitre'd. The breakfast is excellent, fast and easy with fresh choices and a variety for everyone. We started in a corner room and there was a problem. The hotel staff moved us to a quieter room and we were very happy with that. The new room was a little bigger with no street noise so we slept soundly. We were content with the change.
We were in a 3rd floor corner room above the street and the noise was unbearable. We were awakened every two hours by garbage trucks and then by scooters driving in the street with blaring music. It was a nightmare. But as mentioned above, the staff relocated us and took care of the problem. I don't know how anyone can sleep in room 305?

Excellent location in a safe neighbourhood withi walking distance to the Acropolis , other ancient sites and quaint laneways full of souvenir shops. Browse first as the prices vary a lot from shop to shop. The breakfast is amazing, everything you could want and cooked fresh, they even have some gluten free bread, cakes and biscuits ,(basic but still appreciated) . The rooftop restaurant and bar with view to the Acropolis is priceless! It looks better than in photos and so close you feel it's nearly on top of you! They also organised for us an affordable taxi to Piraeus port for 25 euros. Bed was comfortable, room spotless clean. The room is small though, like the bed is too big for it. Good wifi connection but it stops working once you reach a certain limit. Great value for money!
Neighbourhood can be noisy (but this is all of Athens centre) and light from the hotel across the street shines into your room. There are blackout curtains but they don't close properly on the sides. Bring ear plugs and eye mask though we managed ok.

A perfectly positioned hotel in the Plaka area of Athens, not even a 15-minute walk to the Acropolis (get there early it's awesome first thing). So close to squares and all the shopping, you can hope for. It's a perfect position to spend your day exploring, then come back and get changed to hit Athens at night. Staff were really helpful, brekky was great and the bed was so comfy, like stupidly comfy. Loved our stay, and we'll definitely go back! Photo 1 is from the rooftop bar and the second is the view from our room.
