The location is fantastic. Right in the heart of Athens and a 15 min walk from the Acropolis. It's 5 mins from the metro station and within minutes walk of the bars and restaurants and shops. The hotel itself is above a beautiful restaurant and the room was beautiful. The hot tub on the balcony was a particular highlight. The hotel itself is a classic boutique hotel. Quirky and well designed with a perfect city feel. Breakfast was beautiful too! The staff were so hospitable and easy going. Just an absolute gem of a hotel.

My only minor gripe... No milk for the coffee machine in the room.

Our 5th stay at **Athens 1890 Hotel** – and it just keeps getting better! We always recommend this gem to friends and family because it truly ticks every box. You simply can't beat the location – right in the heart of the city, steps from everything worth seeing, yet somehow peaceful and quiet inside. The building itself is stunning, full of charm and history, beautifully restored with modern comforts. The rooms are elegant, spotless, and thoughtfully designed. Breakfast is always a treat – fresh, generous, and served with care. But what really brings us back is the warm, professional team who make you feel like a valued guest every single time. Fantastic location for exploring Athens and very quick and easy to get to the Acropolis with lots of great restaurants also within easy walking distance. The room was clean and very nicely stocked. We didn't use the jacuzzi outside but we did use our complimentary 30 minute access to the spa, which was really great.

The noise from the restaurant travels quite a bit to the room. Thankfully we were exhausted both nights so were still able to fall asleep without major problems. The jacuzzi outside was also definitely not private as everyone in the surroundings could see in quite easily.

We had a lovely stay! The room was gorgeous, clean, and very comfortable. The location is perfect—right in the heart of Athens, close to all the main attractions, restaurants, and shops, making it easy to explore the city on foot. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with anything we needed. Overall, a wonderful experience that we would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Athens.

This was such a beautiful place to stay—stylish, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. We really enjoyed our time here. If we had to mention anything negative, it would be that sound travels quite easily through the walls, so when other guests came home late, it woke us up. Also, the shower water tends to run out into the bedroom a little. That said, these were minor things compared to how lovely the overall experience was. We’d still highly recommend this place for its beauty and charm!

The location, room 101-102 are so good (Athenian). The staff is very kind and friendly. The room has everything you need.

The heating is not working when i set 30 degree and it was still around 23. The noises are coming from cleanin room close to room 102 when around 07:00

The room was so clean and was cleaned every day. Location was perfect that we never used public transportation in our 4 day stay, everywhere was in maximum of 15 mins of walk. The staff was so helpfully when we left our luggage before check in and after check in time. Everyday we had 30 mins in spa (sauna, steam room, small pool) which was fun. We were in the room with the jakuzi but the jakuzi is outside so it can a bit harder to use in a more chilly weather but still it was fun to have one :)

The only problem was our shower. It didn’t have a full covering door so all the water leaked to the bathroom but because the room was cleaned every day it was not a problem.

Very central, not too big , modern comfortable and clean. Quiet at night- had amazing sleep. Restaurant /bar has reception inside, on a lovely street, but almost missed the entrance! The reception is in the restaurant. Staff were lovely to chat too. Very helpful

We didn’t realise we had to book the use of pool and sauna, so we missed out as timings were not suitable for us. There wasn’t a luggage room but you could leave luggage in the restaurant area and by their small reception window. It seemed relatively safe to do so- our luggage was fine.

I liked my stay. The hotel is in the very good location. Restaurants, shops - everything is just around, no need to walk. Nice restaurant with good food on the ground floor of the hotel! I also lined that every guest can book spa area and during this time nobody else will be there - the booking is solely for the room.

The rooms are very specious, big, with nice design, but the shower in my room was not so convenient to use as the water is just spreading on the floor out of the shower. I had to be very careful and do very quick bathing not to flood the room:)

- The room was beautiful, large and very comfortable with everything a hotel should provide (including a small coffee maker, bathrobe, etc.). - The rooms are located on the second floor above the restaurant, which could be useful, but the reception and the hotel elevator are directly in the restaurant, which was not very convenient.

- The name of the hotel is not visible, the address of the hotel given in the reservation does not correspond to the real one at all, so even the taxi driver had a problem finding it. - The staff changed, so if I asked someone for something, on another day, another person did not know about my request.
