We stayed at the Hera Apartment and really enjoyed it. The place is nicely furnished, the air conditioning worked well and wasn’t too loud, and we even got a bottle of wine as a welcome gift, which was such a nice touch. The location is perfect – right in the center, so everything is within walking distance. What I especially liked was the great communication. We always got quick replies, and everything went super smoothly. Would definitely recommend!

Check in was so easy. We had no issues finding the apartment or retrieving the key. Apartment was very clean and had everything we needed. We also very much appreciated the elevator as we had very heavy luggage. Location is absolutely amazing, we walked to everything, even the entrance to the acropolis and Parthenon. Had shopping, restaurants, and pharmacy nearby. Host also gave us amazing suggestions and left very clear instructions on how to use everything in the apartment

Great location and the customer service was brilliant, with prompt communication from the owner. We were able to use the luggage storage before and after check-in. All basic amenities were provided and the room came with easy-to-read instructions too.

I didn't realize that the Hera apartment (the one that we stayed in), didn't have views of the Acropolis. The room only comes with two thin pillows and a thin blanket, so more linen would have been nice, but the apartment does have an air con/heater system (although the air con system did leak when we turned it on). The apartment is a 7 minute walk from the check-in office/luggage store which we also didn't realize, easy enough to get to with Google maps, but it wasn't enjoyable towing all our bags through the busy streets. All of this through no fault of the owner though, as everything is as advertised in the description of the property :)

The apartment itself is renovated and mostly in great condition, excepting the toilet seat "malfunction", of which I informed the property host, and hopefully he will fix it. Location is excellent, very central, right by Monastiraki square.

The property is labelled a hotel, and appears under Booking.com hotels filter. Don't expect a reception or staff, you will not meet anyone. It is actually an apartment on the 5th floor of an old building with a shaky and unsafe elevator. The building looks uninhabited, and when arriving at night was quite scary to approach. The key is left for you in a box at the entrance (code provided by the owner). In short, For a couple looking for a relaxing leisure-type hotel room, it's not for you. Use only if you need a night by Monastiraki metro to take the train to the airport early in the morning like us.

Unfortunately due to airline delays my friend and I were stuck in London for 2.5 days, so we missed our stay in Athens. We were only at the aparthotel for about 5 hours as our flight arrived after 2 am and we left at 8:30 am to go back to the airport. Alex, who we were in contact with, was incredibly helpful in arranging our transportation from the Athens airport 4 times as we had a missed and then a cancelled flight before we finally got there. The taxi company working with the aparthotel were also very nice and very sympathetic, and we felt especially bad after our second flight was cancelled so last minute. Although we didn't stay very long the aparthotel was clean and looked beautiful like the photos, the instructions were clear to get in and there was good AC. There was also a lovely balcony and view of the surrounding area. Location was less than a 5 minute walk to Monastiraki train station which we used to go to the airport. It is also a short walk to Hadrian's Library and the Roman Agora.

The unit was clean and well presented. We specifically chose this apartment because it had laundry facilities. There was a slight issue with an AC unit but Alex promptly took care of it and a technician had the unit up and running within an hour. Centrally located and everything we wanted to see or do was within a 10 minute walk. Taxi drop off and pick up to your door.

Nothing

The apartment is close to everything and being on the fifth floor with a balcony was amazing. It had a view of the Parthenon. The apartment is spacious and even has a washing machine. Excellent place to stay in Athens. There are also lots of excellent restaurants nearby and a great supermarket around the corner. Alex was fantastic at communicating and offered to organise us taxis which we gratefully accepted. Make sure you read the instructions for the hot water.

Leaving the windows open at night was not great, because of the hustle and bustle of the city, which is to be expected. The aircon works well though.

Location! The place is in the heart of the city, it is only a few minutes from the monastiraki station. The house was quite clean and had all the things you might need. Even ground coffee to use in the coffee machine and wine in the fridge:)

The bathroom might be considered small. It was not a real issue.

Amazing apartment, dead center in Athens, points of interest are very close and within walking distance. Metro station of Monastiraki is very close. Host was very polite and helpful, room was very clean with great amenities. Host gifted as a bottle of wine for which we were very grateful. I would definitely come back and recommend it for a nice stay.

The apartment had a big terrace with view of a part of the Acropolis. It's beautifully furnished and looks even nicer than on the pictures. Athens gets really cold at night in February but thanks to the ACs and a Heater we never felt cold. The location is perfect since it is in the middle of everything and very close to the subway station. Everything is in a short walking distance. Nevertheless, the apartment is located in a very quiet street, we never had any problems with noise. Last but not least, the host is very friendly and helpful. He gave us many many good recommendations and was always available.

Don't be bewildered by the kind of messy/dirty staircase and the very old (scary but functional) elevator. The neighbors are very friendly (we met two by coincidence) and the area is safe.
