A beautiful apartment complex, quiet…but only 2 minutes to the Main Street with many bars, restaurants, supermarkets and shops. 3-4 minutes from the beach, again with lots of bars and restaurants. The complex itself has a lovely pool (not massive, but ample), nice reception area…and the apartments are large with everything you could need for your stay. The host and staff are second to none. There is nothing they won’t help with. An amazing place to stay, in the perfect location.

Apartment was bare in comparison to others with the name “suite” in their title. Adding a seating area would improve it.

Two lady owners are absolutely amazing Ms Penelope is by any means the heart of the hotel!! Her smile brightens the day even when it is cloudy:) We absolutely recommend this quiet place to anybody:)

Nice and caring staff, peaceful and quiet at this time of year, although I had rooms right by the pool. Recommended place to stay at least for me. 🙂

Top Location, Convenient , Proximity to lovely beach, Clean, Friendly, Informative, Helpful!

The hotel was relatively easy to get to and in a fairly central part of Platanias, within walking distance of many restaurants, shops, spas, a Lidl, and so on. Unfortunately, to see anything of real Crete or any interesting historical landmarks (like the Minoan ruins and tombs of Knossos, Chania, Maleme, etc.) you will have to travel quite far, as Platanias itself is mostly a tourist resort town. Fortunately, there are fairly decent bus services around the island and you can always go on a hike out into the beautiful countryside. As for our actual room in the hotel, it was passable. It looked okay and there was plenty of space for two people, especially for a basement, but sadly that is pretty much it for the positives. We were also able to leave our luggage for a few hours after check-out on our last day, which was nice. What wasn't nice was that the entire area had been left unlocked with no one to check who walks in, with seemingly no CCTV either.

We arrived quite late and there was no one there, as the reception is manned only for a short time in the day. Moreover, the full name and room number of any guests arriving late are left on the glass door for the whole world to see. This is most likely a breach of GDPR and not the safest way of doing things, especially since the key to your room is just left in the door (meaning literally anyone could just wander in before you arrive). Once we entered, we noticed our room was full of mosquitoes, which would continue to harass throughout our stay. The bed mattress was hard and uncomfortable. The curtain didn't fully cover the window, giving anyone walking down the stairs a clear line of view inside our room. The fan in our bathroom was very loud and ineffective. There was some really slow WiFi, but no instructions on how to connect in the room (we later found out this was locked behind the reception). There was no drying rack for the dishes in the kitchenette. More importantly, there was no shampoo, conditioner or even shower gel despite the hotel's online info claiming to offer "free toiletries". When I asked about this at reception the next day, I was told that they have never offered free toiletries, asked to show them where I found this information and then told to send it to them. They blamed it on whoever updates their Booking.com info and lazily offered to bring some shampoo if they had any spare at home. We told them not to bother and just bought it from the local Lidl instead. We were also disappointed to find out that to gain access to the air conditioning unit (which was turned off but present) in our room, we would have to pay an additional fee of 10 euro per day! We chose to deal with the heat without the AC, as we were out sightseeing a lot anyway. Sadly, sleeping was difficult due to the heat (plus the hard mattresses and mosquitoes!). Returning, we noticed how humid and smelly the poorly ventilated room was.

The room didn't have,AC. Beds were not comfortable. There were not enough beds for our family. Some rooms who did have AC, needed to pay for it 10 euros per night. Stay away from this place. I was charged for everything. Bad bad bad
