Wonderful family run hotel with amazing welcoming staff. Very helpful with great excursion tips and when we requested extra pillows/toaster for the room it was delivered straight away. Room was a great size with a lovely balcony that overlooked the sea and the pool. Bed very comfortable and good shower. The pool was very spacious and not too crowded, with great poolside bar. Small shop right on site and we rented a car through the hotel which was very convenient. The location in Kalamaki was great for us, an easy cheap bus ride into Chania and possible to drive to other locations like Elafonisi, Kissamos and Rethimno. Would 10/10 stay here again!

Porto Kalamaki is a small but lovely value for money hotel. What it lacks from the massive super hotels, it more than makes up with the friendliness of the staff and the family feel We felt the location was perfect for us, in a small village between Agia Marina and Chania, with the former being easy to walk to and Chania and the amazing beaches around there just a small cheap bus journey away. The food at the hotel was lovely and simple and there was a little convenience store on site which was perfect for our suite with its own kitchen. Be careful of the cocktails during hapy hour, they are cheap and very strong and tasty and youll end up leaving drunken messages to all your work friends back home!

I cant think of anything that could have been better to be honest.

All ameneties and staff on site are amazing! Big pool, pool bar serving drinks (happy hour!!) and restaurant with decents prices and good food. There's a little supermarket also and a short walk away there's a beach and more restaurants. Great location - there's possibility to take the local bus (that goes to Chania or Platanias) just outside or have a quet night in. Some excursion have a pick-up point right outside too so it's convinient. We always go back here!

The staff are great, friendly and helpful and provide fantastic service. Our room was clean and serviced every day except Sunday. The pool bar is the focal point of the hotel and provides drinks at reasonable prices with a cocktail happy hour, and snacks through the day. The restaurant is very good providing lovely traditional Greek dishes.

The shower was a bit small.

Beautiful hotel, amazing pool and pool bar, delicious food, awesome culture evenings (Tuesdays and Sundays). Nice location, not too noisy, not too far away. Absolutely charming personnel, helping and supporting any time, giving options without ask :) Had an issue with locked room from inside on the top floor - felt frustrated myself, but personnel solved it without any hassle. All family (2 kids) is delighted by stay here :)

Number was next to noisy street, which was audible like being outside - having better windows sound insulation would solve this and make this apartment 11/10 :)

The hotel was very good. Our apartment had sea and pool view. The main bed was comfortable but the two twins in the living room weren’t. The kitchen was pretty well staffed but a microwave would have been very handy Everyday they came to clean the apartment The people was very nice and in the pool happy hour was $5 the drinks When we arrived they told us that a guy would help us with the luggage but as soon as he realized that we were on a second floor and we had several luggages he disappeared Sunset was really nice from the bedrooms

the two twins in the living room were very uncomfortable A microwave would be very appreciated

Had a great stay at this hotel - comfortable rooms, hospitable staff and a great location across the road from a little port which was great for swimming and snorkeling. Food in the hotel was good and it is also close to other restaurants, shops and car hire There are also plenty of beaches a short walk away. Highly recommended.

A great location. Amazing staff, always on their toes to serve better. Fantastic food and entertainment. All the information in hand at reception to go around the island.

Better selection of drinks and cocktail recipes. Pool area could be equipped with some drying facilities. These are the points only to improve.

Everything was great!. Professional staff, especial some people. Nice sea view from balcony. Facilities like shop in the same building like hotel and also pool. One negative for pillows. They was too large (too high) and for this reason sometimes was head acke. Generally I recommended it.

Nice hotel, very friendly staff. Really liked our green room ) Location was convenient 25 minute by bus to Chania. Bus stop was close too. There was a nice small beach like 5 minutes away.
