The best choice ever! Mike and his wife are very nice, they help in everything, they give great program ideas. They solve everything, great hospitality. The breakfast is amazing, huge selection. Clean rooms, cleaned every day, beautiful surroundings. We hope to see you again, thank you for everything!

Exceptionally well run, small family hotel, hosted by Mike and Inka who are steeped in knowledge and history of the Chania area and the wider area of Crete. It is worth noting that both Inka and Mike live on site therefore passionate and attentive. Alexandrous Studios is a quiet and peaceful location, perfect for a relaxing vacation. The fact that Mike and Inka have been hosting guests at Alexandrous Studios for over 30 years is testament of it successes.

Having to leave

The property located in a central area in Chania. Only 10 minutes to the old town. Plenty of restaurants, cafes, beaches nearby. Definitely recommend hiring a car as some more popular beaches are about a 30 - 60 minute drive or longer. Mick and the team welcomed us into their home and made us feel right at home. Great variety of breakfast options and a great frappe made by Mick himself. The pool was a great size and overall felt like a real holiday. Will definitely be back one day soon.

A lovely clean and comfortable room with 2 balconies which was serviced daily. Superb breakfast with lots of lovely fresh fruit and just about everything you could possibly want. Mike and his wife were extremely helpful and friendly suggesting places to visit, local restaurants, arranging car hire, taxis etc etc. The pool was very clean and a good size. The outdoor breakfast terrace overlooked the sea. I would highly recommend a visit here to this small 15 room private family hotel. Quiet and away from the main tourist drag this is a place to totally relax

My partner and I recently stayed at a charming place near Chania, and it was an experience we won't soon forget. The owner, Mike, was absolutely fantastic—always cheerful and eager to help with anything we needed. It really felt like he went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. One of the highlights for us was the presence of the friendly animals around the property. The cats and dog added a lovely, homey touch that made the place feel even more welcoming. The pool was another great feature. It was occasionally empty, which made it feel like we had our own private villa—such a treat! The location was also convenient, with several nice restaurants nearby. However, we did have a disappointing experience at one place called Salavantes—the food there was honestly the worst we’ve ever had. Our room was spotless, thanks to the wonderful cleaning lady who was incredibly kind and always happy to help with a smile. And let’s talk about breakfast—it was superb! We especially loved being able to make fresh orange juice every morning. It was such a refreshing start to our day. Overall, this place was a gem, and we would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Just maybe skip Salavantes if you’re looking for a good meal!

Everything was amazing, from the time we where picked up from the airport by Michael (the host) to the time we left, we had a family room with a sea view which also looked over the pool, a large balcony and were greeted with a small bottle of Ouzo in a basket with sweets, a map of the area and lots of information from Michael. There was a fully stocked fridge with soft and alcoholic drinks, wine, water and milk which you could help yourself to and pay on departure. The pool area was lovely with plenty of sunbeds and a small pool bar, the breakfast was out of this world with everything you could possible wish to have from meats and local Greek cheeses, breads and pastries, fresh fruits, large chucks of water and yellow melon prepared for you, the ability to squeeze your own fresh orange juice, yoghurts and cereal's and lots more with both the hosts on hand to help you if you needed it. The main road was a short walk down the hill with lots of restaurants and beaches a very short distance. The bus stops going both directs where at the bottom, a 15 minute ride into Chania main town and harbour......All ready planning our return next year

What a great experience! The room was spacious, with a tiny kitchen space, table and 2 balconies. The breakfast is very nice with lots of options, including some great Greek delights. Can't thank Mike and Inka enough for they're hospitality and amazing advice on the most beautiful places around Chania! We discovered beaches that no instagram/tiktok post will tell you about! Will certainly be back!

Everything was absolutely perfect! Mike is the best host and his wife and daughter-in-law. The breakfast was spectacular. The rooms were clean and large and offered views of the beach and pool. It was about 5 km away from the old town, however , the nearby bus takes you straight to town in about 10 minutes, or even better we walked to the town and it was a fantastic beach walk. Thank you Mike for the wonderful 5-night stay!

Very comfortable place - it was ideal for our family with 2 kids. Hotel is small (in a good way!) and you can really relax in there. Hotel has comfortable rooms, it was very clean, well equipped. Swimming pool area is also very convenient. Breakfasts are really awesome, everyone will find there something that would fit his taste. And hosts are just fantastic - very friendly, helpful and making sure that you feel well taken care of and that you can simply relax and enjoy your vacation.

What can we say. Mixalis, his wife and the staff were exceptional. Super friendly and helpful, Mixalis made everyone's stay feel comfortable, warm and safe. The hotel was fantastic with a great pool, delicious breakfast and a library. We would definitely recommend Alexandros Studios to anyone wanting to stay in Chania. Thank you Mixali!!
