OmG.. we were speechless on arrival. We arrived late(11pm) and we were greeted by very friendly staff. Checked in smoothly and have been offered a complimentary dinner which was amazing. Then we got taken to our seaview suite on a buggy. The luxury suite was exceptional...more than I expected. The view of the sea was astonishing. The infinity pool was excellent.. On my birthday, we decided to eat in the hotel as they were hosting a Tomahawk night with live band. The food was excellent. The hotel staff surprised me with amazing cake, serenaded by the live band and what made it soooo special....fireworks display. I was so overwhelmed with all these. Great selection of breakfast. The staff are very friendly and accomodating and attentive. We booked 2 excursions from the hotel (Samaria Gorge and Knossos Palace). Early start to both of them and what the hotel did was they even organised a packed breakfast for us to take away to the trips. We didnt expect this. Now the luxury suite with a sea view.. it was luxurious, clean, spacious, beds are extra comfy. I cannot fault it. The location is great. Bus stop just in front of the hotel. 10-15 min bus/ taxi ride to Chania Old Town. There is a beautiful beach across the road if you are fed up with the amazing infinity pool. OmG.. i cannot praise this hotel/resort too much. Its a dream to stay there. Cretan Dream Royal Resort and Spa. you lived up with your standard. I am so grateful for making my birthday so special. First time in Crete and OmG you didn't disappoint. Efharisto!

We stayed at Cretan Dream Royal for 7 nights as a family of 2 adults and 2 19 year old twins. Both rooms were spacious and we got a suite with sea views. The room was very good and very clean. Everything in the room was working including the AC. The hotel had an amazing and well designed entertainment and breakfast area plus a fantastic infinity pool with plenty of chairs for guests. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of selection for everyone. We really liked their cakes. The staff at the hotel went above call of duty to provide an exceedingly great experience. The hotel manager was also very friendly and spoke to all guests, finding out how things were going. Hotel is located very close to the beach. You basically cross the road and you are on the beach. It is a nice beach for strolling around and dipping in occasionally, but then you are in Crete so you probably don't want to spend much time on this one but rather visit other beaches like Balos beach. Entertainment was also very good and we really enjoyed some greek music on one of the nights and the barbeque that the hotel provided which was nicely prepared and tasted great. To top it up they provided us with packaged breakfast and a gift of 2 jars or Cretan honey as we left the hotel at 3:20 am to leave for an early morning flight out of Chania airport. Who does that honestly!! Felt like you just visited your loving grandma. The hotel is 30 minutes or less from Chania airport so I would recommend using this airport when you book. The Royal in the title probably means they will treat you like royalty because that's how it felt! Highly recommended! There are so many restaurants close by all within walking distance, but choose carefully some are not great. We found tripadvisor list of best restaurants to be a good guide.

Beautiful, clean hotel with friendly, helpful staff. The pool area was really lovely with plenty of comfortable sunbeds available. The breakfast was very nice with a good choice each morning which could be enjoyed either indoors or outdoors with a lovely view of the pool and sea across the road. We were B&B only but we did eat in the hotel one of the evenings and the food was delicious, probably one of our favourite meals of the holiday. We also ate lunch by the pool and that was equally nice. The cocktails were very good too! The room we had was perfect for a couple but a little tight for us (couple and 17 year old). Our 17 year old was sleeping on a sofa bed that was ok but more suited to a smaller child. The room itself was very clean with everything we needed including a little kitchenette area. It was cleaned daily and fresh towels every day. We had a late flight the day we checked out but the hotel was very accommodating with a luggage room to store our bags and fresh towels provided for us to shower in the courtesy room. There is a mini market on site that has everything you might need and very competitively priced too. There isn’t a lot to see or do in the immediate vicinity of the hotel however there is a bus stop right outside the front of the hotel that takes you to Chania old town where there are an abundance of shops and restaurants. The bus can be extremely busy, especially early evening and they pack it as much as they can so be aware of this as it made for a couple of unpleasant journeys. We found the slightly later bus a better option. The journey costs just €2 per person. We would highly recommend this hotel and hope to return again one day.

Nothing to dislike.

Great place to base yourself around Chania, away for the hustle of town but a great opportunity to relax and unwind. The pool overlooks the beach, the sunbeds are limited for the size of the resort and many people reserve them with towels contrary to the signs everywhere saying they will be removed, but we managed to get sunbeds each day we wanted to be by the pool. There are plenty of dining options in close walking distance to the hotel if you don't wish to eat at the hotel. Breakfast choices are plentiful, recommend this place for a longer stay where you may wish to relax as well as explore Chania and the surrounds.

The early morning sunbed towel reservations, particularly ones who take 4 or more with people who turn up to use them 2 hours later. It's a problem at most resorts with sunbeds.

Very quiet, comfortable and spacious sea view suite on the 3rd floor with excellent sea view terrace balcony. Excellent breakfast catering for all European tastes. Bus stop outside Hotel from Stalos to Chania (2Euros), with a supermarket close by. Staff were very helpful and courteous. Airport shuttle bus available to Chania Bus station (3Euros) as well as Herkalion and Rethymno (e-ktel.com). Recommend Kri Kri Taverna in Stalos and Steki restaurant in Chania old town. Beach opposite the hotel. Our second visit to Cretan Dream Resort and would certainly recommend this hotel for future vacation.

Had a minor problem with the extractor fan, but dealt with promptly by the maintenance manager (Margerita)

Location is right next to an amazing beach. There was a surf shop right on the beach too. The infinity pool looks out over the ocean and the open plan restaurant allows you to watch the sunset. All the staff are very friendly and get to know you during your stay. I would definitely come back here. We had breakfast lunch and dinner here and during our 5 day stay, we never had the same meal twice, all the food was perfect.

The basic rooms are a bit small and had no bath. But as you aren’t in the rooms much anyway and it’s Crete and very hot. You most liked would not want a bath.

Excellent breakfast and easy location to quickly get under way to various touristic hotspots (Balos, Chania, etc.). Als main reason why we chose the hotel. Didn’t actually spent too much time in the hotel itself so cannot comment on the facilities. To me it seems the pool area is nice with good views.

The beach seems less interesting also combined with busy road between hotel and beach. We got room in new “luxury” building. Room was enormous however the extra space (kinda living room) and big terrace where not really needed and as such were less cosy. Instead I would have preferred better view m. Not bad but we felt orientation of all rooms could have been thought over in a better way. We looked onto and old grafitti spoiled building and the view of the sea was more like side view. Summarised pretty good hotel but no 5 star experience. I would estimate average 4 star hotel…

The pool is excellent but the tiling is in need of repair or upgrade. breakfast selection was great but the coffee was not good. overall the resort property was very nice and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The toilet area in our room was very small, we are both tall with long legs so sitting on the toilet with our knee's agianst the glass partition was not ideal or pleasant. The shower door had a loud creek in it that sounded like the glass door was cracking every time you opened it, very annoying.

Various spacious room with excellent view. Excellent facilities no need to leave the resort other than to explore. Small shop within the resort for all essentials and not overpriced like you would expect in a resort. Great daily breakfast, themed nights with entertainment, nothing another question. Extremely family friendly. The service was I’m above and beyond. I’m here come here, Jonah Noah go mommy go to mummy

There nothing not to love about this place.

Fantastic location as we were attending a wedding at Sea View Enkipo basically next door. Not too far to walk down to the beachfront bars, Tavernas and beach clubs, and the bus into Chania old town stops right outside the resort. The pool was great, and the prices and quality of the food and cocktails were excellent. Staff were amazing. Very clean.

The only small complaint was the drinks at breakfast. The juice was watered down terribly and the coffee machines were a bit temperamental. Just drink water and eat the freshly sliced citrus provided! The pillows in the rooms were not as supportive as we normally like.
