Beautiful hotel accommodation in Malia. The location was absolutely perfect and the pool was beautiful and lovely to soak up sunshine on the sun lounges! They also had a pool side bar which was amazing for cocktails! The best part was the lovely owners, family run hotel, Lida and George were soooo lovely and went out of their way to look after me! As a solo female traveler I ended up spending lots of time chatting with them at the bar, they are amazing people! Situated in Old Malia- most charming part of Malia & finding the apartments was always intriguing & interesting - I don’t think I walked the same way twice through old Malia, certainly added to the trip! Beautiful! The owners couldn’t have done more to help & look after all guests (without being overpowering) myself & daughter felt very well taken care of. Property itself - was always Clean, suited to needs, quiet & private… everything you needed in the kitchenette if you wished to cook snacks, breakfast with larger supermarket 5/7min walk away. Clean towels & bedding was regular and/or you could ask for more or less days cleaning/changing to suit. We didn’t use air conditioning (didn’t want the sore throats often resulting) especially during night., simply kept room as cool as possible (climate mid to late 20’s) Wee balcony was engaging for morning coffee & evening - view of mountains & old Malia places most only 2 floors high. Pool was always clean & inviting… we could rest all day & read.

The obvious ie upto date plumbing eg toilet hence you were asked to put toilet paper in bin now down the toilet - a norm in many places & no deal breaker!

It was in a lovely location so close to all the restaurants in the old town. A lovely size pool however due to current circumstances the bar was closed the week of our stay however this suited us perfectly and didn’t hinder our experience whatsoever. The rooms were very comfortable. What stood out most about this property was the staff, I’ve never stayed anywhere with more helpful staff than here. As soon as we arrived George informed us due to availability he had upgraded our room free of charge, we were provided with a list of information and recommendations on malia and on our 2nd day George offered us late check out free of charge due to our flight time. For the rest of the week all our dealing were with Lida, she was so helpful and attentive to us, offering us a change of room to the ground floor if we needed when she notice my partners broken foot. However we managed perfectly fine with our original room. Lida did a wonderful job cleaning our room frequently and she genuinely couldn’t have been more helpful if she tried. The air con and hairdryer were both very good which isn’t normally the case for accommodations at this price point. We genuinely didn’t have a single complaint about our stay here and if we’re ever lucky enough to come back to Malia we will definitely be returning to Stelios.

We had a great host, with a lot of good tips for local restaurants and beaches, which were quite helpful. The rooms are very spacious, have a large balcony each, a small but good bathroom with great water pressure, a small kitchen and leave nothing to be desired. The pool is quite huge, and very enjoyable. Location was also amazing, Old Malia is more enjoyable than the north part of it with all the clubs, unless that is your thing. Here it was quiet and close to all the actual good restaurants.

The owner greeted us at the front desk/bar area and explained everything that we needed to know about our stay as well as things to do in the area. He was a very nice host and helped us with anything we needed.

The wifi did not connect in the whole apartment and was only accessible from the balcony as there is no access point inside. The shower was quite small and since there was only a shower curtain, most of the water went on the floor out of the shower.

The hotel is very good located. Close to the beautiful little streets full of restaurants and bars, but still it is very quite there. The party mile is easy to reach from that hotel but you don't will hear anything. The owners are very nice and attentive. They will give you tips for your vacation. I can really recommend this hotel.

The hosts are amazing! We have stayed in 9 rooms in the last 2 weeks and haven’t had a better experience with our hosts than with this stay. Upon arrival they were very kind and helpful. During the stay they helped us a lot finding restaurants and fun things to see and do. Also they make a great breakfast!! The pool area is large and clean

My friends and I stayed five days at Stelios and we fell in love with both the residence and the staff! Besides being right in the centre of town (Old Town) it is also close to the beach (15 min walk to the most beautiful bathing establishments). At the same time it is a very quiet area. The room was basic but clean and the pool well maintained, open from morning to night. The real gem is the super helpful staff who make you feel at home from day one. Being Italian we didn't speak the local language but Giorgios and his family made us feel like we were lifelong friends. Even spending the afternoon with them at the pool was a pleasure. Always available for any need and ready to satisfy any request whenever possible, even removing a cricket late at night! We already miss them, the residence and Malia. Unforgettable holiday also thanks to Stelios' family. We hope to return soon.

The only thing missing was soaps and equipment for cleaning and washing but you can easily bring or buy them, or ask them for them without any problem, anyway they come by every few days to give a general cleaning.

Stayed at this hostel and had a great experience. The air conditioning worked perfectly, which was a relief. The place is run by a very friendly and approachable family. On the first day, the owner took the time to recommend places worth visiting, and they were always available for any questions. The pool, ranging from 1m to 2.5m in depth, is jump-friendly. Additionally, the location is an excellent base for exploring Crete since it's close to the highway, yet without any noise disturbance. Highly recommend!

The apartmans is better than expected, five minutes from the center and all the events, in the old town. The hosts take great care of everything and keep everything clean, both from the apartment and the pool. We had a wonderful stay, and we hope to visit again in the coming years!
