The accommodation was very spacious, and had a nice style and aesthetic. The patio was also huge and you could indulge in those sunrise views. For me, the structure and style of the accommodation reminded me a little bit of a fairytale. I was very impressed by the "vintage" or "mediterranean" style doors. I will definitely miss waking up there, as it felt like a little bit of countryside.

Although I really liked the accommodation, you can tell that it is a little bit old. It looks partly renovated but I think it could do a little bit more. The shower was a little bit slippery, so I think they should provide mats. Also there was a little bit of a smell in the bathroom sometimes, I think they need to fix their pipes or something. It wasn't too intense though, so it was manageable. Other than that, everything was great.

I stayed 2 nights in Phaos in a suite with sea view and hot tub. The suite was really spacious, clean and tastefully decorated and the view out of the doors to the sunrise was spectacular. The property is located in between Imerviogli and Fira and is in a quiet location which I liked. You have privacy on your terrace without tourists walking past and looking on like places that are on the west side or in the middle of the towns. It was only a 20 minute walk to the centre of Fira. Breakfast is served to your room and there was a lovely selection. The staff were very friendly and provided ideas on tours /activities on the island. I would definitely stay at Phaos if I get to visit Santorini again.

The property does not overlook the caldera which means it's much quieter and has much more room for relaxing. The sea view over the eastern side of the island from the huge, private terrace is not as famous or spectacular but is more interesting once the "wow" factor of the caldera view has worn off. You can witness real Santorini life from your vantage point overlooking the vineyards. The footpath that runs the length of the caldera is a 2 minute walk away, so all the sights, shops and restaurants are within easy reach. Have breakfast at Ilios bakery just up the road - they even deliver!

The rooms were spacious and clean but storage space for clothing was limited, so much had to stay in the suitcases which is never ideal. A kettle and fridge was provided but no facility to wash up the cups or glassware and no crockery or cutlery to cut up Illios' fine cheese pastry for a "light lunch". The fridge kept the wine cool but did remind me of a cement mixer when the motor cycled on and off during the night.

Stunning views, polite helpful staff, lovely accommodation & hot tubs. The only downside was the bed was so hard, it was like sleeping on concrete and we both now have sore backs. Apart from that, highly recommended and we would stay again. 20mins walk to Thira along a coastal path. Less than 10mins walk up a hill there is a viewing point where you can see across. This was worth strolling up too. Shop that sells anything and everything plus hot food, at the top of the same hill. This shop also does food delivery which was spot on each time. Taxis appeared to be a flat rate of €40, we went to the black beach (41 beach club, that was stunning) and it was €40, we then got a taxi to thira (6min drive) and that was also €40.

The bed was hard

The location was perfect for easy access to the pedestrian path from Fira to Oia, shops/restaurants at Imerovigli, and sunset views over the crater (perhaps even better than the sunset in Oia). The unit had a wonderful sea view (not the crater side of the island, though) and the hot tub and patio loungers were great for relaxing while not out exploring the island. The staff was helpful when we made requests and provided advice/assistance with restaurants, rides, etc. Communication was very good. We arrived in the middle of the night and they arranged airport transportation and access to the room so that our arrival went smoothly.

While there was an electric kettle and mini-fridge, we had to ask for enough glasses/mugs for all four of us and there were no plates or cutlery provided to facilitate eating/drinking in the room. The main bedroom was very nice and spacious, but the second room was the size of the bed so you had to climb in from the bottom of the bed.

The quiet yet close to Fira and other attractions, just walking distance away from Imerovigli. Love the hot tub. One of the best beds and pillows in my 2 wks holiday in Greece.

No microwave in the room, the door lock is a nightmare.

We were looking for a very quiet and relaxing start to what would be a busy holiday for us and we certainly found this here in Santorini. We enjoyed a spacious, tidy and well equipped room, with a lovely terrace area, hot tub and our own sun beds out front, with a stunning view of the east coast of the island (even though this hotel is on the west side, such is the size of Santorini!). Really friendly staff who sorted us with transfers and coffees every day and gave us lots of useful information for our stay. Would certainly look to return here as it was just what we needed.

Everything was absolutely fine.

From the moment of booking this hotel it was superb. Had a few questions to ask, they always provided a prompt, detailed answer. The place itself is lovely, the staff are very welcoming and helpful, especially Apostolos who made sure we had everything we needed and helped us arrange anything we wanted to do. We arrived late, after room service hours but were still offered something to eat. I would recommend hiring a car, you get to explore the island fully €50 euros a day, you only need it for two days to visit most places. A take-away/cafe is a 5 minute walk called ilionos they were brilliant, they deliver to your room… we had pastries a few mornings from them and take away late one night. If you go to the shop the staff in there are lovely. Would definitely stay here again the location was perfect, 5 minute walk to the most beautiful restaurants and bars but quiet when you come back. Sun rise was breath taking. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Great location and excellent view.

Breakfast. Since we paid for breakfast the offered type of continental is very poor and inadequate. Since breakfast is charged the Greek breakfast should be served and that cost should be included when we book the room. Continental breakfast should not be an option.

Our room was a 1 bedroom apartment. Very clean and comfortable with big windows and bright inside. Nice balcony and amazing views. Very nice bathroom and shower, very comfortable beds. The location is good especially if you have a car as there is parking available and a car is advisable for the off season as there is almost no bus service available. US citizens will need an International drivers license…we didn’t have one 🫤 There is a nice little market/restaurant a 5 minute walk up to Imerovigli . Our location was a very short walk to Fira and same to Imerovigli. In fact it’s just across the street from the hiking trail to Oia. So you don’t have to walk along a busy road. The staff were extremely helpful and available when we needed help. Katia saved our vacation with a full tour of the island!

We visited in the off season and the weather wasn’t cooperating. It’s the off season for a reason. However, the days we did tour it was wonderful having the island mostly to oneself. If you are happy with that solitude and don’t mind searching out the few open restaurants, then winter visiting may suit you. You will need a car but driving isn’t that bad and there’s parking in winter months.
