I did a three week trip through Greece that ended in Santorini at The Vasilicos, which rightly saved the best for last. It is a unique place where you immediately feel at home, not least because of the fantastic staff who really think of everything and do everything to give you an unforgettable time. An unforgettable five days it have become, each one ending at the edge of the pool with the red-golden sunset over the caldera. The Vasilicos is a place that lets you bathe in luxury and gives you a feel for the traditions and history of Santorini as well. Highly recommended!

Fantastic views from the hillside overlooking the port. Walking distance to town. Friendly and supportive staff.

Not at all significant, but the rooms are literally caves dug into rock. No windows, only the light from doorway enters the room. Wish there were more options for access to the island. A ferry strike stranded us for one day in Paris. As a result we had to pay an extra night there plus the scheduled night at the Vasilicos. No fault of the hotel, who required full payment in advance, but disappointing that we were charged full price for a missed night due to a strike.

Breakfast was well balanced and taiilored to our preferences, brought to our patio at requested time. The fresh fruit platter was perfect. Privacy of the property was amazing allowing for enjoyment of the views (daytime and sunset) without the crowds. We stayed in the Daphne suite and especially enjoyed the shower with a view of the Caldera and having 2 separatw sinks. Restaurants, markets and boutiques were walking distance away. The restaurant adjacent to the property was great if you did not feel like walking far. Staff was attentive to out requests and took great care in maintaining the property. Rental car was brought to us and catamaran cruise arrangements were taken care of by the staff.

It's difficult to put into words just how wonderful a place The Vasilicos is. From the stunning views, tranquility and beauty of the place, to the exceptional staff - everything is perfect. We spent a week on the island and saw a lot of it, as well as a number of hotels as we hiked around. None of them looked like they had quite what The Vasilicos has to offer. With only a handful of rooms, the hotel is secluded and a haven from the busier areas of the island. As a result, everything is catered to your needs - the staff go above and beyond and are intuitive and attentive - while the whole place is so elegantly yet simply furnished with some lovely touches and personalised elements. Breakfast is superb, brought to your room at a time of your choosing, and the chef is brilliant - do take the opportunity of having dinner brought to you while you're there. If you're undecided on which of the many impressive hotels to stay in while you're on Santorini - stop, and book The Vasilicos. The only downside is you won't want to leave once you get there!

I loved how private this property is despite being a short walk to town. Felt truly secluded and so romantic with so many nice touches throughout. The plunge pools were fantastic and it's the best spot to catch a sunset. The staff at the property are a true class act who go above and beyond to make your stay wonderful. The candle lit dinner served private on our terrace was so lovely and some of the best food we had on the trip. We loved every second.

Really great location separate from the hustle and bustle of Oia and Fira, but still close enough to Fira. Dimitris and co were incredibly welcoming and helped us book experiences and gave us good dining suggestions. Beautiful view, and our room (Efta) was right along the edge, a little scary but breathtaking. Breakfast was filling and delicious.

Not a fault of the property, but reminder that TP can’t be flushed on the island due to the sewage infrastructure.

The Vasilicos is a beautiful property and typical of what you should expect for the price and location. We stayed in the Pergola Suite and it was luxurious, clean and very well serviced. The service we received from all staff was exceptional but we would like to call out the work of Dimitris, Chris and the chef in particular. So responsive and accommodating!! We loved the pool as well, I spent hours in there.

There is a certain lack of privacy that was not well advertised. And ours was one of the more private suites in the complex.

There are so many amazing things about this hotel that it's hard to know where to begin! Staying here truly feels like you are in paradise. Everything was so perfect from the food, the view, location, and staff. When we arrived, Dimitris upgraded us to the ‘Daphne’ room. The view was incredible, the bed was comfortable, and the service was unbeatable. The breakfast served every morning was a highlight of our trip and it felt like we were staying at the hotel alone. The location is central, right near most of the upscale restaurants and a bit away from the most touristy areas. Dimitris went above and beyond to help us book activities and recommended a few amazing restaurants for us to try out while we were on the island. We will definitely be back to the Vasilicos!

Incredible location. Vasilikos is an amazing accommodation with the best view.. The staff is amazing. Vanessa who is now in charge was at our disposal all the time for anything we needed, as was Christos and the rest of the team. We will definitely visit it in the future. Personally it has the best sunset with a view of the volcano Thirassia and the caldera of Imerovigli and from below the cruise ships.

Vasilicos is such a beautiful heritage property with Caldera view. Quiet and yet convenient. Good breakfast provided and staff are superb. Dimitris Zdrava is so friendly, helpful, caring, the best I ever met. He always walk around the property to make sure every thing is ok with the guests. I left my splint in a small box when I checked out. Only knew it after arrived Athens. I wrote to Vasilicos to check. Dimitris checked with housekeeping and found it. I requested him to help me send back. He took the trouble to go post office for me. I am so impressed by his excellent attitude and extra effort put in. He always replies email promptly. Other staff like Chris who brought our breakfast, carried our luggage, is very polite and attentive too. Cleaners are also very friendly.
