The manager Nikos was wonderful. He told us everything we needed to know and places to visit. The breakfast was amazing. Freshly squeezed orange juice, best quality Greek cheese and a variety of delicious fresh fruit. Also, home-made deserts and yoghurt with honey. It was a great start to our day. There were also lots of books for us to read about the history of the area. We had the best time and when we left Nikos gifted us a bottle of extra virgin olive oil from his olive Grove. A beautiful gesture that was greatly appreciated.

A very nice and cozy hotel near the beach. The family running the hotel was extremely helpful and kind. Breakfast was personal, not buffet style. Very tasty and freshly made and the place for breakfast, which was located in a shady garden, was remarkably pleasant. The room was large enough and stylishly rustic. What I especially liked was that there were no masses of tourists in this city. Now of course it's hypocritical to write that you should visit the Methoni... but I do it anyway... just don't tell everyone about this nice town. :-)

Everything about this hotel was wonderful. The rooms were spotless and well appointed and the beds were very comfortable. The host and owner could give a master class on service and hospitality. The breakfast was excellent, the location very close to everything in Methoni, and the hotel contained wonderfully unique and loving touches and flourishes. After three years living in Greece this has been my favorite boutique hotel.

Everything! I would rate it 11 if I could. The hosts are amazing, even to Greece standards of hospitality. The room and the garden are very nice and the breakfast included fresh local foods, some of them even made in house. It is like a tasting session. We have been to Greece many times and this was our best accommodation so far.

Hosts are friendly and the hotel is traditional and homely. It is very well located close to the beach, centre and castle. The breakfast is excellent and substantial and served on a lovely terrace. The hotel is very clean and serviced daily. Easy to park on the street next to hotel. Our leaving gift was much appreciated.

Everything! Nikos and Egne made us feel very welcome. Their motto more home than hotel is so true. Our stay was relaxing, peaceful and so enjoyable. Methoni is a lovely small town, with some great restaurants and a great base to enjoy the area. A wonderful castle to explore, just 5 minutes walk from the hotel, with gorgeous views. Especially good to watch the sunset!

There was nothing to dislike.

From beginning to end, my experience was exceptional. Nikos was a wonderful host. Nothing was too much trouble, and everything was of a very high standard. The breakfast was more than ample and included daily homemade bread (made by Nikos), savoury items, yoghurt with fresh fruit, freshly squeezed orange juice, a hot cuppa, and even a different homemade dessert every day, which was made by the lovely Egle. And having breakfast under the pergola where it was always lovely and cool was a special treat. Everything was clean and neat at all times. The location was great, just a couple of minutes' walk to the plaza, restaurants and cafes and the beach. Thank you Niko for a wonderful stay!

Everything!!! Niko’s was an excellent host. Very helpful, kind and informative. His breakfasts were phenomenal and his mother’s baking was delicious. How can you go wrong when every breakfast ends with dessert. Clean comfortable room with balcony. Lovely common room. Great location as walking distance to castle, beach and restaurants. Excellent value.

Liked everything.

Exceptional breakfast as was the outside area where it was served under the vines. Host was very warm and welcoming always helpful, polite, engaging and gave us a gift of olive oil upon leaving, a very generous gesture. Beds were amazing, the best beds we have slept in so far, huge and very comfortable. Rooms were large, clean and serviced every day. The hotel was centrally located, 2 minutes to the sea side and the castle. Windows had fly screens, so you could have the windows open for natural airflow throughout the night instead of having the aircon on.

weak hairdryer that overheated continuously and would shut down and had to wait for it to cool down before it would restart.

We booked this hotel for 3 nights after reading several reviews. Really enjoyed our stay. Very welcoming and friendly family runned hotel, just a few minutes walk from the beach front and castle. Room comfortable. Breakfast amazing. Staff very friendly. The owner made some great suggestions for restaurants in the old town. Highly recommended, and would stay here again
