Lovely hotel, well kitted out and with friendly owners who are very helpful … letting me into my room early Very nice balcony with comfortable chairs … rather unusual in Greece…. And very welcome so I could nip down to the beach (a few minutes walk) for a swim in the brilliant sea at Methoni but did not have to take a sun lounger( the young men running them on the beach seem to think you want to listen to ear blasting music … I don’t.. prefer quiet )

A bit on the pricey side, but I guess you do pay for comfort… some construction work in the vicinity when I stayed but looked to be short term

Breakfast was great with some everyday variety. Room was spacious, clean and well equipped. Beds were large with comfy mattresses. Great air-conditioning. Parking without extra charge.

We would have given the highest rate to this hotel, but there was a unfortunate incident. Even though we had everyday cleaning service and we stayed for 5 days, no one changed our towels !!.

Everything about the hotel was very good. The collection from the airport and the reception at the hotel were very welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts, and having decided to have breakfast each day the selection of food was impressive. The room was cleaned each day with fresh towels every third day and the whole hotel was very clean. The best accommodation we have had over many years visiting Greece.

Lovely air-conditioned room. We were lucky to have one of the four upstairs rooms at the front of the hotel, with a huge balcony overlooking the town square. It was a short walk to the beach and all the local cafes and tavernas, and also the castle.

The breakfast was good, but the eggs, omelettes and bacon were usually only lukewarm.

This is the second time we have stayed in the hotel. It is a 5 minute walk from the seafront but our small balcony did have distant sea views. The hotel is of a good standard, the rooms and bathrooms are comfortable without being luxurious. The buffet breakfast was of a very high standard and the hotel was spotlessly clean. The family who own the hotel are very friendly and helpful. It is probably the top choice to stay in Methoni.

We had a wonderful stay at Achilles hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the location was perfect, a 3 minute walk to the beach and the castle. We were welcomed by the lovely owner, Eleni who was exceptionally kind and friendly, as well as the staff! We felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. Highly recommended!

Achilles Hotel exceeded our expectations. It was a beautiful, clean hotel with the friendliest hostess, Mrs. Eleni. A perfect location to enjoy the beach, the castle, restaurants, shopping, etc. I highly recommend and we will definitely be coming back.

Elaina, the owner, was fantastic! Very welcoming and helpful. The room exceeded our expectations, the town of Methoni is beautiful, and the castle ruins are great. Breakfast is amazing--eggs your way, split “hotdog” sausages, great Greek yogurt, sliced apples and pears, toast, chocolate cake, croissants, etc. and much coming from her garden.

Achilles hotel is on the main street in Methoni. Rooms are all on the first floor (no lift for luggage). Bed was comfortable, AC is a central system which worked but not quickly. Bathroom was clean with hot shower that worked well. Staff were courteous. There was a small balcony. There is plenty of lobby space to sit if required.

The property is relatively new , very modern , light and airy with spacious rooms. It was spotless clean in all areas and the reception were always very informative. It was on one of the main streets but was very quiet and away from the livelier front part of the resort. That’s was safe parking to the rear. Tabernas and bars were a five minute stroll away in either direction. It is one of the nicest stays we have had in travelling Greece for over 20 years. !!
