We randomly found this place while surfing on booking in order to find our perfect little place for our trip to Nafplio. Carpe Diem Hotel directly catched our attention with its location : in the centre of the amazing old city, and also with its aesthetic and cozy looking rooms. The breakfast that they were offering with the stay was also very attractive. With their flexible arriving times they made it very comfortable for us to arrive at 16h, and we were welcomed with a very comforting moment. The reception is hosted by 3 very nice women who were always ready to help and give you advice on your stay in Nafplio. They were always there for us and caring, making sure we wouldn’t need anything. Especially Martina and Katharina, who were a big value to our stay at the hotel with their care and their readiness to always give advice about the city and the surrounding area. The room was small, but had everything we needed, but with the big terrace and the amazing view you don’t feel like you are missing any space. The breakfast was amazing and personal, also the women who made and serve it were lovely and amazing people. This is one of the numerous acts of care that they share with you ! Everyday our bed was made, and when we wanted a coffee or a drink we just had to go downstairs and ask. Overall it is one of the most high quality and comforting vacations we have had, thanks to Carpe Diem, and the lovely team that’s making it great. If we are in Nafplio again, this is where we will definitely be staying. Over and over. Love, Flore and Casper

Just back from Easter weekend at Carpe Diem Hotel in Nafplio. Perfect 10/10 experience across the board. The location is unbeatable - right in the old town with restaurants and shops practically at our doorstep. Our room was luxurious and comfortable, kept immaculate by the daily housekeeping. Breakfast was excellent - definitely a highlight each morning. We skipped lunch most days as the breakfast team was so generous and warm. The staff were attentive without being overbearing. Everything we needed was taken care of promptly. Nafplio was magical during Easter, and staying at Carpe Diem put us in the perfect position to enjoy it all. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to experience this beautiful town.

Great location and lovely big terrace. Good restaurants a few doors away but have to say Napflio is very touristy and not my scene. Nice breakfast

The room was very very small however it did mention the square footage in the details but honestly no room for 2 suitcases and no wardrobes or drawers. The bathroom also tiny so it's hard to dry yourself without banging into something. Not the hotels fault as they are up front about the room sizes and I was swayed by the terrace which is great if the weather is good but unfortunately it wasn't for us.

We loved the large terrace off our room and the sweeping views both and cross breeze from the room window and terrace doors.

When we booked we didn't notice the strict booking policy - zero refund for changes up to two weeks prior to arrival. Our plans changed and we arrived a day late and left at 5 am the last day - meaning we also missed some breakfasts. While we communicated the change four days in advance, there was no effort to open the room to another guest or give us a break. So what was already a pricey stay became very expensive, which felt like a rip off despite the lovely terrace.

This has nothing to do with the accomodation but we apparantly (although everybody was doing it already a full day) parked our car wrongly so the port police removed our license plates from the car, just like that. The day after we had to pick up the plates at an obscure police post, we had to pay 80 euro (40 extra for some ununderstandable reason), they had to be paid somewhere else and finally after 2,5 hours of bureaucracy we got the plates back but of course we had to attach them ourselves… without tools of course… a bit of a disgrace for a parking error. But again … nothing to to with the very nice hotel here 👌

Location was great and we had great views from our terrace. Breakfast was lovely and it was table service. Staff were very friendly too.

We were travelling over 3 weeks through Greece so had more than one suitcase and didn’t want to leave it in the car as it was parked elsewhere. As the room was small and the terrace was bigger more comfortable furniture would make it useful to sit out more, due to the lack of space in the room. We knew the room would be small, but wanted to make the point that better furniture out on the large terrace would make it a much more inviting place to spend time.

The location was perfect: a minute's walk to the port and easy walking distance to all the major points of interest. Breakfast was good. The wifi was strong. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

There are several bars and restaurants nearby so it could be noisy at night.

Great location in old town. Great restaurants and shops. Close to marina. Hotel was clean and staff very helpful. Breakfast was very good. Small bar with cocktails and beers. Napflio is a great town close to many historicl sites. It was a good choice.

The bath door was a bi-fold type and very difficult to open and close. Maybe just needed some lubricant. All else great.

This is a little gem of a place, I highly recommend it. The room was spotlessly clean and clearly designed by an interior designer. The location is perfect - I actually preferred it to the location of some of the more "upscale" hotels, because it was so quiet (and yet actually two minutes away from the parking place - I found this information hard to believe and was pleasantly surprised when it turned out to be true). The breakfast is served outside, in a pretty, calm side alley - it is a very peaceful experience.

A handle in the shower for the more age-challenged tourist would be great!

The location was excellent, within walking distance of so many things to do and restaurants. The breakfast that was served was amazing. The views from the windows were breathtaking.

We liked to have the windows open and there was a little more noise than we liked late into the night but it didn't detract from the stay.
