Pool area had a range of sunbeds/parasols & was extremely clean A range of rooms offering different facilities The food was delicious and offered a varied menu for breakfast lunch & dinner plus snacks Staff were friendly and welcoming from the reception to the bar staff in the evening; "Mikey" was extremely funny and worked tirelessly all week!

The only negatives were the location being so far from the main town and the road which could be busy at times and noisy, however this did not impact too much on our relaxing break.

If I could give them 20 out of 10, I would do so!! Great hospitality, professional and friendly staff ready to help you and facilities & services of 4 stars hotel! There was always something to eat, drink and being served anytime of the day. Room, pool and restaurant area have exceeded our expectations and made us feeling like home for 15 days and nights! Special cudos to Michalis -the bar tender & our new friend -and to management team that set our holiday experience as their highest priority! I couldn't miss to thanks George who was on top of everything and made us feel like home! See U next year! PS. Before booking our stay, I read some comments about the taste of the water.. Honestly speaking guys, do you really rate the hotel according to your taste?? The taste of the water depends on the county, the region etc and even a mineral water brand tastes differently from another one. Just for the records, the taste of the water (and food as well) in the hotel was the same we have at home in Athens in contrary to the mineral water here in Crete which personally I didn't like at all. For this, I do not blame anyone else but me! Furthermore, I cannot understand why do you complain about such unreasonable and subjective details when you pay less than 100€ per night but all inclusive offer (accomodation, food and drinks) cost more than 150€!! Please, try to be serious and rate according to what you pay and what you get and believe me: this hotel is BEST VALUE FOR MONEY, no question asked! Relevant 3 stars hotels offer much less and you pay the same or more, than Amnissos residence. Guys, you are here for holidays and have fun, not to make strictly inspections and ban hotel's owners without reason!! It is absolutely unfair!!!

I appreciate that, due to the late arrival of the plane, the staff accommodated us at a non-standard time. Even at a late hour, there was no problem with parking the car (free), which we rented at the airport. Dishes and cutlery were clean. The food was offered in the form of buffet. We always found something that interested us. We appreciate that some Greek dishes were served (apart from Greek salad and feta cheese, e.g. moussaka, souvlaki or tzatziki). Among the drinks, the Cosmopolitan was quite good, the other drinks (from the all inclusive offer) were tasteless. My partner liked the refreshing soda with ice and lemon. We didn't use the hotel swimming pool, but it looked clean. On the beach near the hotel were available (free) sunbeds and parasols, and there was also possible to buy drinks from the service guy. A short distance from the hotel was a bus stop to Rethymno, as well as a supermarket, where you could buy bus tickets.

We were disappointed that we were accommodated in a Standard Bungalow, instead of the booked Comfort triple room, without the staff telling us anything about it upon arrival. Cigarette butts were strewn in the flower beds around our terrace. The shower had a weak stream of water. Some of the staff looked like they didn't really enjoy their work (the bearded man at breakfast - maybe he's already changed the t-shirt with the giant stain from food). Although we know that nature is unyielding, access to the sea was a bit more difficult (over large slippery stones). My partner had injured his ankle on a rock in the sea and he picked a scrab during the night - therefore small blood stains were on the sheet. The next day he took off the sheet and left it rolled up by the bed. The cleaning woman just turned it over and covered the bed with it again.

That we didn’t actually stay in the property due to overbooking. Moved to another hotel but expected to pay in full and use AI in hotel. Booked two rooms and got one. overcrowded and shoe horned into a 4 person capacity room when we were a party of 6!
