The hotel features a variety of restaurants, a well-equipped gym, and regularly organized events, including BBQ nights, lobster nights, live music, and DJs to suit all tastes. The staff is exceptionally friendly, and the pool is a good size with massage beds etc This was our first stay, and we are looking to return. The hotel met all our needs and offered a truly relaxing experience. Definitely recommend.

It is generally a problem when guests reserve beds next to the pool early in the morning and then leave them unoccupied for much of the day. This practice can be frustrating for other guests who would like to use these areas. Many hotels address this issue by implementing policies to ensure fair access to poolside amenities, such as setting time limits on unattended towels or reserving loungers. The hotel must take actions regarding this matter.

Apart from all 10 points above, I must say that fitness room is just wonderful, clean, spacious, with all necessary equipment. Service was excellent. Upon late arrival staff took care and left us some sandwiches in the fridge. Also, because of our honeymoon, we found a fruit basket with champagne and honey desert. When I asked if they had softer pillows, as I felt my pillow was a bit too hard, they delivered to the room a soft and comfortable pillow for me straight away. Overall, everything was just perfect: cleaning, service, beach. I don’t think you need more for a perfect and relaxing vacation. We will come again! Thank you!!!

Food would require more passion to make it perfect and up for 5 stars. Good in general, but we were missing the “local Greek taverna experience”

This is our second time staying at Amira hotel and it was absolutely amazing. The staff are so professional and so friendly. Our room was gorgeous, beautiful views. Our cleaner worked hard and was so lovely too. The pool is wonderful, so clean. The beach service and towel service is great. The life guard is brilliant too. Everyone’s taste is catered for at breakfast. This is a special place that we were so so sad to leave.

The pool was cold but it’s expected in November!

Amazing experience My stay at Amira hotel was absolutly great. The hotel is brand new, meaning all the facilities are in a perfect shape. It is even better than the photos. Best of all is the staff, very kind, helpful, smiling,  dedicated to your needs and to make your stay the best possible. I had the good surprise to be upgraded (without asking maybe due to low season?) to a room with sea front view, which was absolutly great. The room is decorated with taste, cleanned every day, with good bedding. The swimming pool area is really nice, and the access to the beach is easy. There is also an inside heated pool, very nice. The beach is clean, has a beautiful view on the mountains on the west, the water is really clean and safe. You can see a beautiful sunset every day. The main restaurant included in the half board is good from my experience of such hotels: tasty, varied and fresh. I strongly recommand the "gourmet" restaurant, the Kritamo: excellent food and large portions with a top class service. The spa is beautiful, good massages, great staff. You can also enjoy sauna and hammam for free, just need to make a booking. It has been a long time I didn't enjoy such a good stay and such a high value for price, thank you very much to all the Amira Team.

Amazingly friendly staff, we received a free room upgrade to the executive suite after booking a jacuzzi room. The onboarding experience was exceptional and the staff went the extra mile in every way. They even let us check out later to not be inconvenienced with the transfer.

Sea at the private beach has a stone ground and has lots of waves unfortunately, cocktails are good but not exceptional, included buffet meal (not a la carte) is good but not exceptional.

Overall this is a great resort! The rooms are very comfortable, the indoor and outdoor pools are great, the beach is right there and it’s a nice one. You’re also close to supermarkets and shops, and the next town is only a 10/15 min drive.

We went in April and we booked the room with the jacuzzi on the balcony on purpose knowing we wouldn’t be able to use the outdoor pool. As there’s no cover on the jacuzzi, it never went above 30/32 degrees. This is a massive letdown that could be solved quite easily! We were not able to use the jacuzzi because of that… The food is also very average. You’ll have choice with the breakfast buffet, but the quality is not up to the standard of a 5 star hotel.

The jacuzzi outside of the room was amazing, went up to 40°C. The half board was very worth it for the price, and they kept refilling our glasses with fresh-pressed orange juice during breakfast. Free parking for our rental car, just a short drive from Rethymno, private beach with comfortable beach loungers, heated indoor pool. Overall amazing stay, would definitely come back!

Housekeeping was great and very thorough but no one ever checked on the jacuzzi, meaning it was getting dirty and the water started evaporating. By day 3 we had to start refilling it ourselves from the sink so the water would reach the outflow. Not a huge issue but could see it being a problem if we had stayed much longer. Their app seems great for ordering food to the pool or beach but wasn’t working when we were there.

The fact it was very clean and new, all staff was extremely lovely and very welcoming. From my experience the pool and side sea view room was the best decision i make, the view was breathtaking.

To be honest everything was prefect and nothing to complain about.

This hotel was "wow" from the first moment. Very clean, friendly staff, nice pool, great breakfast variety, nicely organized beach. They upgraded my room without saying any unnecessary word - I got a room with outdoor jacuzzi on the huge balcony. Further, they made a nice surprise gift on the night before departure which included olive oil, honey and olive oil soap. How can I not love this hotel after all this? I understand that this is done also to attract more guests as they are new, but they have won my heart for sure. Room has all necessary amenities, including bathroom amenities, coffee machine, iron, beach towels that you can change every day, without any fees/deposits, oh and also a welcome bottle of wine and basket filled with wonderful Cretan fruit. If I say I enjoyed my stay, it would be an understatement. Also, Crete is a wonder island, very close to what paradise could look on Earth, so will be back again with pleasure!
