Rooms/flats are placed in separate house blocks and are positioned across few floors (depending on size). The hotel is located next to the main street leading to the Rethymno old town (2.5km or 30min walk) and has main pool at the front of the hotel facing sea. Property has small kitchen facilities to cook, mini fridge, dishwasher. Staff members are very helpful and attentive. We only book hotels with breakfast and it had everything we needed, though dinner menu looked good too (not tried). Kids room with plenty of toys you can take to the beach. Great overall stay.

Rooms could do with a make up as are outdated, but had comfortable beds and was okay to our needs. Wifi has poor reception in some hotel areas. Depending on where your room is positioned ours been quite noisy some mornings (due to a poor window glazing) deliveries/waste collections/street noise; however, not impacted our stay

The staff really make an effort with the guests, they're a testament to the hotel. Location, nice clean beach. Adult pool is lovely. Very very clean grounds, restaurant and rooms. Rooms decent size. Breakfast was vast and excellent quality. There is a room you can use to shower after checkout, a nice touch to end your trip if you've got a late flight or ferry.

A senior manager looking very grumpy, directing staff in a rude manner. The staff deserve better as they are exceptional. They could teach him a thing or two about customer service.

Breakfast was great, location was great, hotel staff were great. Vespina the lifeguard and Dora were very helpful with my elderly mother, and Maria at the spa was wonderful. Gym and spa treatments went well. All the facilities were great.

Would like to see the staff not have to wear heavy black long clothes in the scorching heat of summer, it isn't fair on them. Please find a way to keep them smart but cool and happy. The staff were great and very friendly. The hotel had actually received my email about my elderly mother staying and type of room required, as hotel responded to me, but when I arrived they said they hadn't received anything. we were swiftly dealt with however and received a good room.

Our stay was really good, the staff was amazing, the location by the beach and restaurants was lovely, the restaurant was also good. The beach was the best part, we stayed there for the entire day, the water was the perfect temperature. The hotel has sun loungers and beach service for snacks and drinks, which made it perfect to enjoy the sun and the sea. Reception is always available to help, be it transfers or taxis, extra towels, or whatever you might need.

Nothing much to say, the apartment kitchen wasn't super modern. But we found the style quaint and more then suited our needs.

Our family liked the location of the hotel. It is 30-40 minutes away from the old town what we actually liked. The hotel has parking area not next to the hotel but just couple minutes to walk. The hotel was really cosy, pretty small but had everything we needed. It had 2 pools and the 3rd for babies. Variety for breakfast was good, during one week we had enough to choose and were not tired, longer probably would be more challenging. The staff was nice and helpful.

Family room had a bunk bed in the living room, it would be nice to have a small sofa there. The floors were not very clean but did not bother, however before going to bed had to wash legs several times. When played ping-pong near the kids club left my sunglasses and they disappeared after all, nobody returned them what was really strange.

Breakfast was amazing with lots of local products. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

We had to climb three stairs to reach our bedroom, which was outrageous. Moreover, to go to beach you had to cross the highway, which was kind of dangerous. Last, one couple of our company got robbed in their room in the hotel, and two very precious watches have been robbed. Cameras were not available for the specific room and balcony door mechanism was proved to be broken before the robbery.

We LOVED our stay at Grecotel Plaza Beach hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff were lovely. We were greeted with welcome drinks and immediately felt taken care of. We stayed in the Fortezza apt with direct sea views and it did not disappoint. The room looked directly out onto the beach and ocean and was beautiful. The room was also very sizable - plenty of space for our family of 5. The beach club is right across the road - quite literally 20 steps from the hotel to the beach with hotel provided chairs and umbrellas. You can see the town of Rhythmno right up the way while lounging in your chair. We also took advantage of the babysitting, located in the hotel, and the kids enjoyed their time there while we enjoyed some adult time. Overall, it was a lovely stay and if you're looking for a hotel in Rhythmno that's on the beach, I cannot recommend this hotel enough!

Wonderful staff, fabulous location, spacious accommodation, great breakfast. We went with our 3 children, 21,18,16 and had 2 x separate apartments. It worked perfectly for us. A lovely stroll into the old town and €6 cab home in the evenings ..but lots of lovely bars and restaurants too. This hotel location really felt like the sweet spot n terms of best of beach,still vibey but access to the old town so easy. Beach staff were brilliance. This is a lovely lovely spot

Everthing was really nice, from the begining on i stept into that place i felt i was in vacation. The location could not be better.

The Kitchen in the Studio is not really needed, specially if there is not really anything to cook with. So eather put some more things in the kitchen to actually cook or take it out🙂

Super comfortable and clean - maybe a little dated, but appreciated the divide between adults-only areas and family friendly spaces, and the range of accommodation types available. Breakfast was a totally acceptable spread, and a lovely beach with lifeguards, lots of loungers and umbrellas is only a few steps away.

Decor and building quality was quite dated and bland in the rooms, but the communal areas were much more polished.
