The apartments fully match the photos, and the price is absolutely worth the value you get. We really appreciated the warm attitude towards guests – this is a family-run hotel with very helpful staff. Breakfast and dinner are offered according to your preferences, and the service is excellent. On the beach you will always find a free sunbed. The hotel also has a small pool area, but since it is located right on the seafront, you may not even need it. The apartments are regularly cleaned, towels are changed, and we even received lovely compliments from the kitchen – either during breakfast or directly delivered to the room (fresh fruits, cookies, and local treats). This added a very special touch. We truly enjoyed our stay and were very satisfied. If we visit this region again, we would definitely come back!

I stayed here with my sister on holiday. Gorgeous location, incredibly kind people, delicious breakfast and coffee. Comfy loungers on the beach with drinks, food, complimentary water. As a boutique hotel they really make sure that their guests are taken care of - you will not be fighting for your daily sun loungers here like at a big resort. I cannot really express how much we enjoyed our time here. The owners are thoughtful, and truly are passionate about this business and it shows in the personal touches. They had a curated list of places to eat and visit as well which was a huge help. We would like to say thank you so much to the team at Calla who were nothing short of exceptional, and probably make everyone’s holiday special - we hope you all get to have as good a holiday yourselves!

Everything about Calla was perfect! We travelled from Santorini from Crete and were delighted when we contacted the team at Calla and they arranged transport from the ferry to Rethymno! On initial arrival, the complex as a whole is extremely modern and spotless and the pool area is very relaxing! Katja welcomed us and from the beginning was fantastic, providing us with all our info and sent to us her list of recommendations for Rethymno (& Crete)-this list proved to be amazing, a mix of restaurants/bars/tourist attractions we tried to go to each recommendation and there was no disappointment, food and atmosphere etc was perfect at each location and the tourist attractions are well worth seeing so a massive thank you again for that as it took a lot of stress from us to research these ourselves! Our room was amazing, classy and super relaxing! There was a welcoming bottle of sparkling rosé to congratulate us on our recent engagement which was a lovely touch! We loved the room so much we are actually planning on using the same tiles (both bathroom and flooring!) for our house that we are currently building!! The black out curtains, soundproofed room and the extremely comfortable bed made our stay extremely relaxing! Small touches like leaving a little present for us on our last night, little treats after the room has been cleaned, waters replaced daily-left us feeling like kings and it showed the owners really care about their guests! The private beach and access to loungers across the road was also fantastic-all along the beach can be quite busy yet here we had our own private area which we found incredible! All the staff at Calla are extremely friendly! I could write an essay on how every little thing on our stay impressed us! The place was perfect and exceeded our expectations! Would highly recommend anyone looking to stay in Rethymno to stay with Katja and Michalos! Thank you again for everything! We sincerely hope to return soon!

A charming family-managed small hotel which stands out for location&position: -beachfront: the private sandy with some pebbles beach with free transats and umbrellas, cleaned everyday is separated from the hotel by a small road. It has beach bar service and a glass of ice water is offered to each guest. -Supermarket at 30 meters. -the harbour and Rethymnon old town at 1,4km walking along the sea promenade with plenty of restaurants. But what really makes the difference is Katja, Mihalis and their small team. Their experience in Horeca field and perfectionism are translated into all the details which made us feel pampered all the time. Besides the sweet welcome gift, free coffee capsules, tea and water supplied everyday into the room, they are there everyday to ensure quality staying for their guests, to see if we need something, provide info and suggestions and help as much as they can. They projected this hotel and run it having the sea and the client as focus. So: - there is a full view of sea from all the places (in the 1st floor rooms one can see the sea from the bed). - the ammenities are high quality and the premises are thouroughly cleaned every day. All is new, the modern technology combines with an warm artistic touch. - although not noisy, the windows ensure an excellent soundproofing and privacy as they are mirrored from the outside. The anti mosquitos doors are much appreciated and helpful. So as the electronic panel to control lights. - communication prior arrival very prompt. - wi-fi works very well, including on the beach Breakfast is tailor made based on the guest prefernces from the a la carte list. In addition, everyday a greek pastry is offered. Photos to the room we stayed in and to the common areas are very accurate.

The deluxe sea view room was comfortable, clean, modern updated renovation including accessories for ones needs.

The Calla Suites is located on the main busy roadway of Rethymos. One must cross the street to access the beach. Photos of the property display the suites on a private beach. The Deluxe room is tight for 2 people. A loft design with steps leading to the bedroom.The pool is sized minimally situated curbside of the main road. Reception is miniature and completes its duty at 8 pm. Unacceptable during peak season in August as well as the asking elevated rates. Overall the quality and service does not substantiate the money spent.

As soon as we arrived we were greeted extremely warmly. The family and staff at the hotel couldn’t have been kinder or more helpful throughout our stay. Every detail in the rooms had been thought of and the rooftop for sunset was an added bonus. They left lovely gifts for us to enjoy and made us feel entirely at home. We would hugely recommend this hotel if you’re looking for something more intimate and personal, away from the larger resorts in the area. We would definitely return as a place like this is hard to find.

We had no complaints and had an incredible stay.

Loved everything about it. It is part of Rethymno (subjective, but the most beautiful city in Crete). The place has it's own private breach, with included reserved sunbeds, which was quite lovely (we ended up staying a few full days there). Staff was incredibly friendly. All amenities were there, including beach bag and beach towels. The place was high-tech, with codes for doors (no keys needed) and digital panels that control many things, like ambient lighting and electric curtains. Very clean, amazing views, nice design and great use of space. The breakfast included was great as well (cappuccino was specialty coffee grade) and local fresh ingredients made it a great choice. Parking included, as well as recommendations for various places across the island. Close to downtown, but far enough from the very crowded areas. The pool is rather small, but heated (not sure if by the sun) and perfect for a quick dip when the sea is too wavy. There is an amazing restaurant next door, Kai, which is really a must try.

Honestly, there is not much which could have been better. There is a street between the hotel and beach, but traffic is light and it was never a problem to cross or too noisy.

Calla Luxury Suites is amazing place to relax, enjoy and feel like at home. It is like an oasis, where every details matters and is taken care of. Beds are super comfortable, guarantying perfect rest, rooms clean and spacious, beach sandy and well maintained. We were delighted with customer-tailored breakfast, prepared every morning, healthy and fresh! And Katja and Michalis are perfect hosts!!! They will make you feel like at home, help with every request you may have and...make you wish not to leave!. Perfect spot to explore the island. Strongly recommended, we will surely come back!

We loved our room which had a living space and bedroom above with both spaces having an incredible view of the sea. The hosts were wonderful and always providing great recommendations for places to see. We walked along the boardwalk to the old town and were happy to be slightly set apart from the business of old town. We loved our stay and I highly recommend this accommodation to fellow travelers (coming from a traveler with high expectations!)

We absolutely loved our stay at Calla and didn't want to leave! Firstly, the staff are incredible - this is true customer service and it is so rare to find now. The attention to detail was superb and all of the staff were so kind and professional without it feeling intrusive at all. The standard of accommodation in the private and communal areas is exceptional. The pool area, although modestly sized, is absolutely spotless and it was so easy to relax there. Alternatively, there are Calla-owned sunbeds and parasols on the beach which again are super comfortable. In both locations you can get waiter service for delicious drinks, snacks and meals. Good breakfast with lovely touches - every day there was a speciality from Crete to help us to learn about the cuisine. Overall we had the most fantastic stay and would love to return. Highly recommended. Thank you to all at Calla!
