The room was perfect for our group of 4, had a very clean and modern look with AC. The staff were amazing and very attentive, alongside the room service which was done everyday. Pool was very clean and had nice privacy (and was directly in-front of our room). Location was perfect as it was about a 20 minute walk to get to the Old Town (or a €7 taxi), which also meant it wasn’t too noisy during the night

The beds weren’t the comfiest and breakfast seemed to be a bit overpriced for what you get

Very good hotel hotel ideally situated on the sea front and not too far from the old town of Rethymno. Walking time : 25 mn and cheap taxis are available too if you are too tired to walk. The hotel lends beach towels so you don't have to bring them from home and the beach bar "Cactus" is fine. You can rent 2 sun-beds with two drinks for 12€ a day. The hotel is very clean and modern. Breakfast on the rooftop is really enjoyable. The reception team, especially Eirini (very warm and resourceful), is great, helpful and available. The cleaning ladies are very nice too and efficient. We greatly enjoyed our 4-night stay in Batis hotel and do recommend this establishment.

The hotel is ideally located across the main beach in Rethymno and is sparkling clean. The room we had was very spacious and well designed, we loved it. We appreciated the coffee machine and small refrigerator. Also we had a small terrace with table and chairs, perfect to rest and enjoy the sea view. Cleaning was done daily. All the personnel was absolutely wonderful and very friendly, especially Irini from the reception, so I congratulate them for their efforts and hospitality 👌

The breakfast was served on a beautiful terrace , with great view and was more or less the same. There were almost no options and I would suggest adding more fresh vegetables, olives, feta cheese instead of sweets and pastries, or at least offer this option to guests. Put the options on a list, for guests to choose. Also the hotel is a bit far from old town but it’s a very pleasant 20 minute slow walk so we enjoyed it. Plenty of restaurants and supermarkets nearby.

Delightful family run hotel who were very friendly and attentive. Excellent rooms. The bedroom came with one full double (not two singles pushed together). Separate very large day room with two sofas, washbasin, fridge. Two veranda/balcony areas. Beach just across road. Sunbeds on the beach by others but free as long as you bought a drink from their bar, which was in front of the hotel but run by others. Small pool but very fit for purpose. We had the breakfast which was a la carte, not buffet, but perfect for our needs.

We had no dislikes. It had no evening restaurant but the hotel was surrounded by independantly run restaurants of every variety.

Staff were exceptional.From Dina and Filio who were most helpful and accomodated all our requests and answered all our questions always with a smile .The housekeeping team of maria and angelina did a great job everyday keeping our room tidy.The bar based at the hotel was very popular and there was never any issue with noise levels upsetting residents.Great location opposite the beach,close to a selection of bars and restaurants.Old Town is about 20mins walk away and best visited when the Sun goes down for the real magic

Couldn't recommend enough, everything about this hotel is amazing. Very friendly staff who helped us out on a few ocassions. Rooms seem recently renovated and everything is squeaky clean and spacious. View is excellent, and the beach bar works until late at night so you can go out for a drink anytime. The hotel is placed perfectly as it's not in the center so it's not too busy, but it's a short walk to Old Town and it never feels empty.

Hotel Batis is the best choice to enjoy Rethymno! Located right in front of a lovely beach, it offers great value for money. The hotel has been recently refurbished, everything is very clean, and the staff is truly kind and welcoming. No doubt—I’ll definitely come back! Special thanks to Irina (the blonde girl) for her great suggestions, and to all the receptionists for their helpfulness!

- very friendly and helpful staff - rooms are big and freshly renovated - beds are very comfortable - location is really nice. Around 20-30 from the old town (or a 6€ taxi drive), however it's directly at the beach with some good beach bars around. Also you can easily find a parking spot for your rental car - nice bathroom and shower - it was quiet (despite some other reviews saying that it wasn't)

- the WiFi was bad and didn't work most times or was really slow so I had to use my mobile network

The hotel was amazing. I had a spacious newly renovated room. Everything was very clean and fresh. The bathroom was perfect, the shower had really hot water and a good water flow. The wifi dropped a couple of times but in general it was good. The hotel is about 20-30 mins walk from the city center but there're plenty of shops, restaurants and other places in the area. It's quiet at night. The stuff stayed up after midnight to meet me. In general they were very friendly and helpful with any question that I had. For example, they helped me cover the window in the bathroom as it was letting to much light into the main room in the morning — a pretty creative thing.

The breakfast was nice but it was the same every day. I stayed for two weeks so I got a bit tired of it.

Our room was always super clean, the air conditioning worked great, Cactus Beach Bar was right in front, and the staff were very helpful and kind.

Location from old town is about a 20min walk, but otherwise, it was perfect.
