We really like staying at the Savoy. We always get a genuinely warm reception. This time, due to boat schedules changing, we needed to book an extra night at check in. Not only was this arranged quickly, easily and at a good price, we even got a room upgrade thrown in! The breakfast was excellent with a very good choice of hot and cold buffet. Staff are always willing to go the extra mile. The location is excellent - central Rhodes Town with easy access ( 5 minutes walk) to the harbour/front, Old Town, bus station, taxi rank, shops and restaurants. It is 10 - 20 minutes walk to the commercial harbours where inter island boats depart from (two harbours depending on which boat) It is a little further to the closest beach.

- Location is great. - Friendly staff, they helped me to book a taxi to airport for the morning. - I liked the breakfasts, and good it's starting from 7am. - The room had all the basics, it was ok.

- The balcony was looking to some wall :) But I don't complain, for this price it's fine. - Fridge and some internal ventilation were working very loud, at night it's not very comportable. - It was May month, and there were only thin bed sheets, it was a bit cold at night.

What a great surprise! Perfect as a pitstop en route to Symi. The woman on reception was so lovely when I arrived. The room was very basic, but very clean, super comfortable bed and pillows, lots of towels, shower gel and handsoap in the bathroom. And air-conditioning! Then, the piece de la resistance, the breakfast included. Lots of choice and super friendly and helpful staff. And a lovely, shady courtyard with plants and the obligatory Greek cats. Total bargain at 46€ all up. I will definitely be back.

It was great that there was a fridge in the room but I only realised it was there when it woke me up in the middle of the night.

I liked the staff every single one; friendly and very helpful with local knowledge about taxis, restuants and buses etc. Very generous with their time. We were in Rodos for 3 nights awaiting ferry. It was ideal. Location is very handy for buss station and old town. The old town to my mind is the best thing in Rodos. We accidentally left a watch which they found and returned no problem. The breakfast was more than adequate. NB museli and bacon. Great beds nice and firm. We will deffo use again

The coffee machine was not to my taste but I am hard to please. The ac was ok but struggled slightly.

Exceptionally friendly small hotel. Basic, but excellent value. Ideal for a short stay when travelling to other islands as close to buses and ferries. Nice garden area for breakfast. Nothing too much trouble for reception staff. They really look after you.

The hot element of breakfast could be improved. Some fried eggs would be welcome as well as the scrambled.

This was our second stay and our comments are similar. Staff are very kind and helpful. We were allowed to check in early, despite not requesting this , which was great after an early morning ferry arrival from another island. We were also offered breakfast and were able to get a sleep before having a wander around Rhodes town. On departure staff were really helpful about luggage storage and taxi booking. Room small but comfy.

Nothing to really criticise

The hotel Savoy is a basic but great hotel for the money. The guy on reception was very helpful. The room was basic but clean, a good shower and fabulous air conditioning. Beds firm but ok for us. The room was very quiet, only hearing the odd door closing. The breakfast next morning had a good choice of hot and cold food. Probably not the best cuisine but good for the price paid. Location great 400m from the bus station and a 10 minute walk into the old town. Very close to the bars in the new town. We paid £32.50 for a room with breakfast for two. Amazing

Nothing to complain about

Basic hotel with good value for money. The location is good - near to the harbour if you want to go on a boat trip, near to the old town, near to the bus to the airport. Located in a relatively quiet street in an area with normal shops. Breakfast is OK but not very fancy, you can eat the breakfast outside in a nice little backyard with flowers. Staff is friendly. Free Wi-fi. Free aircondition.

This is a very friendly, clean and comfortable budget hotel in an excellent location for the centre of Rhodes Town - shops/restaurants/cafes/bus station/taxi rank/harbour front with the Old Town a short walk away and the commercial harbours between 15 and 25 mins walk (depending on which you need). The breakfast is excellent - at our recent stay there was a varied hot selection plus cold items and the usual toast/cake/tea/coffee/juice.

Everything was fine!

This is a fairly basic but comfortable small hotel. Easy walk from/to the bus station & airport bus - & also shops, eateries, the medieval city and the town beach. It is a bustling street, quite noisy. The hotel isn't modern & it is faded, but it suited us for location, price & facilities. The staff were really friendly and helpful. I was surprised by how good the breakfast was too. A lot of reviews comment of the bathroom. We had no problem. It was small, and a 'wet room', common in Greece. It had a glass door. The toilet, sink & shower all easily accessible. Was careful with the shower & I had the mat outside the door - no problem. Safe boxes available downstairs & get a key from reception.

The street was quite noisy, but that's what you get with the price and location.
