This is a boutique hotel family run operation. It’s 8 cave suites run by a very kind couple. First off - accept there offer to arrange a pick up from the airport. It’s a 45-ish minute drive. They will also arrange the porters once you arrive to the city. The city of Oia was not built for roller bags/suitcases and they need to be carried (it felt very VIP to have the airport pick up and porters). By the way - Oia is the right choice over Fira or any other location on Santorini. And Aris Caves is situated right in the middle of Oia - you cannot beat the location. We stayed in their largest suite and our friends stayed in one of the mid-size suites. The arrival to Aris Caves and charming steps with expansive ocean views will wow you upon arrival. When we walked into our suite my teenage kids started giggling with excitement and let me tell you - my teens are not easily impressed by anything that isn’t on a screen. Our suite had a kitchenette and dining area, a loft with two twin beds, a queen bed in the open bedroom under the loft, and a full bathroom, and a separate master bedroom with king size bed and our own bathroom. The master has an attached balcony with sun chairs and a hot tub and the most expansive views of the ocean/caldera. We spent 5 days in this suite and I think that was the perfect amount of time. Anything less and we would have missed out on getting to see everything we wanted to see in Santorini. The cherry on top was the momma cat and baby kitten that lived on the balcony below ours.

This is an oasis in busy Oia! Yes there are many steps, but it was nice to have some distance from the crowds. We stayed in the Gonia suite which had a private hot tub and small upper deck with a magnificent view. The staff were helpful and courteous, especially the porter who carried our big suitcases up and down all the steps (please tip the porters!). Christina the host was very helpful both before and during our stay and we enjoyed chatting with her.

I can't think of anything we didn't like. There's no breakfast option but there's a small grocery store in Oia and several restaurants open during the day.

First off, the hostess Christina is amazing! Ensured porters were available for our pickup and drop off. Answered all questions promptly via WhatsApp. Gave great food recommendations. Made traveling there as stress free as possible. Then of course the amenities! The private hot tub on the balcony was so relaxing and the view was amazingly beautiful from our balcony. We had 6 ladies in our group and the size was perfect for us with 2 queens and 2 twins. It is a spacious apartment, did not feel cramped at all. The space is kept very clean. Someone would wash out the balcony every morning and empty the trash daily. More than enough fresh bath and jacuzzi towels, which were also replenished as needed. Water pressure is good and showers/toilets clean as well. As for location, it is located to everything you want and need in Santorini. Lots of shopping, restaurants, and a grocery store all within a 5-10 minute walk. The only warning I would give is if you have problems with walking up and down stairs it may not be the place for you. Otherwise, this place is a 10/10 🤩

Exceptional view of the Caldera but away from the crowds. The outside space was perfect (we stayed in the Folio room) from breakfast spots, to sun loungers, to comfortable lounging area to watch the moon rise - oh and the spa! Everything you needed was available in the studio along with a very comfortable bed The space was considerably more attractive than the photos Finally the customer care was over and above and would go as far as to say the best we’ve ever received (and I’ve travelled a lot).

Aris Caves is an exceptional place to stay in Oia. It’s super central but tranquil and quiet. The views and room were breathtaking. Christina was unbelievable- she was there to help us with our every need including booking amazing activities and transportation. She even left us home made muffins! The property exceeded my expectations- in sum, chic, central, spotless, and quiet.

Have nothing I didn’t like: Would maybe suggest screens on at least one window- we loved having the windows and doors open to see the scenery but naturally that let in some bugs. Also, when booking, strongly consider a room with a private pool (they were all booked up when we booked)

The staff smiles, the attention to the details with the decoration and when receiving guests, but as well as the choice of toiletries brand (smell so lovely), the mattress, the homely smell of the bed lining and towels, beautiful furniture and all finishings. I can safely say THE BEST PLACE I HAVE BEEN IN A LONG TIME. I travel the world regularly so feel I can say how good Aris Cave was. Thank you to Christina, Katerina, Ervin and all the others that we didn't get their names but remember their smiles. Thank you Aris Cave for the amazing time. I forgot to mention the view of the Caldera... Now that was something else completely. The views from Aris Cave is breath taking. Enjoy. Oh, also forgot to mention how private the rooms and the whole hotel is protected from the constant flow of tourists taking pictures of the Caldera views from the pedestrian walk at the top of the white washed buildings in Santorini. BEST PLACE TO STAY! Oh, wait, just remember, the homemade granola and olive oil made by the family that owns the hotel (so you will not find it anywhere else in Santorini) and local Santorini bottle of wine to make your stay even nicer. Also, manager Christina is amazing, great business woman with a massive smile and a kind side to her, (loved meeting you Christina). Christina put us at ease straight away, talked us about the island and what and where to go with maps and all the Info we might need but also her number so if we needed anything else (ie. A last minute taxi, from somewhere back to the hotel if we didn't know how to explain to driver, etc), very held and dedicated.This is what I am saying, THE BEST!! Look, there are steps up and down and they are killers BUT THAT IS SANTORINI ANYWHERE YOU GO, so not really a negative. We loved everything at Aris Caves.

The large balcony with private jacuzzi and view of the sea from the Kaliste room was absolutely exceptional. The room was so beautiful and comfortable. We loved the location in Oia and the privacy of the Kaliste room. The many steps to the room were well worth it. Christiana was so nice. And the porter who carried our suitcase and attended to the grounds was the best. We feel so fortunate to have found and booked Aris Caves. Our stay was just perfect!!

Arrival into Aris Caves was very easy as Christina came to meet with us upon arrival. The stairs are steep but so is everywhere with an exceptional view in Santorini. The view made every flight worth it! The apartment was clean and I loved how the apartment was built into the cave, it was absolutely incredible. I travelled with my three kids who were 15,12 and 3 and whilst my older two were great I do think Santorini is probably not the greatest place for a loud and playful three year old :) Thank you for everything Christina!!
