Where do I begin… this hotel SUPER EXCEEDED all my expectations and I had high hopes. This cave room was simply put perfection. Complimentary big bottles of water coffee shampoo body wash extra. Towels, robes, slippers super soft. It was sparkling clean and the staff was always on point. Even when I insisted things weren’t necessary like sweeping or cleaning they did it. Just beautiful big and perfect. We had a jacuzzi that was regulated at our request. This staff did everything possible to make our stay a dream. Privacy comfort and convenience was our primary goal and we got all of that here. Staying at the Marizan cave and villas simply means you never even have to leave the grounds. Caldera view (the best possible view of sunrise and sunset) pool to cool off in, room service for dinner with plenty of options to choose from (done with a app that allows you to make personal requests to your meals). They brought the food with all the necessary extras right to your balcony and then the waiter returned to clean everything up. We booked our room with breakfast included and I must tell you the food was 💯 percent perfect. They give you six menus to choose from and there was so much food left over. Mario and his sister Janette and Vicky are who run the hotel and these people know exactly what they are doing and how to make someone feel at home welcomed and cared for. Mario took his time explaining a map to us and things we can do places to eat and where to go. Needless to say we didn’t do any of the outside eating or walking. We DID NOT HAVE TO LEAVE THIS HOTEL. we had everything we needed right at our finger tips. People come from all over Santorini to catch the view and sunset we were blessed enough to have at our fingertips. It literally felt like we could touch the sun.

Everything at Marizan Caves is pure perfection! The breakfast each morning is incredible, the staff are amazing and attentive, the villa was beautiful and the location amazing. It's out far enough to be away from the crowd but close enough that you won't miss any action. Your toughest decision each day will be whether you sip wine in your villa from your private pool/spa watching the sunset or whether you venture out. We did both and for our last Santorini sunset decided the best spot was in fact from the villa.

Absolutely nothing! Perhaps be mindful of all the stairs if you are low mobility. We knew there would be stairs so it wasn't an issue for us.

Marizan Caves & Villas deserves my 5 star rating! They went above and beyond in making sure our short stay will be memorable. Marios gave us detailed recommendations on places to go and restaurants to eat. Our Villa was all that I have dreamed of! Sunset right outside our patio with heated pool. We were so spoiled! Breakfast served every morning on your requested time. So much privacy on this property unlike other reviews i see on other proerties. All the staff were so helpful, our villa was cleaned everyday. Our outside pool had a perfect temperature everyday. On my birthday, last minute I requested for a cake, wine and charcuterie board and were all ready when we came back to the villa after a day of exploring. I cannot recommend this property enough! Book it!

Well communicated ... in my language and an easy process to check in. The office is occupied and available for personal check-in until around 9pm, depending upon their arrivals. The only reason we checked off that we didn't have a "quiet" room was because some construction company at a neighboring property (of which I don't believe the facility had control) decided to start drilling through concrete at 7:30AM on the day of our departure. The rest of the stay was perfect. Great location, since you have instant access to sunset basically from your room (a popular - and crowded - event if you are "in town"), or one of the property's common areas. Santorini is simply fabulous and, if you don't mind doing a bit of walking around on non-level ground, Oia is just as charming as you might be imagining. Oia is, however, super crowded from mid morning to sunset, but if you can sift through that you will find jewel-in-the-rough cafés and restaurants and some nice galleries to buy real local artistry, etc. And, of course, you can find the normal me-too tourist fare. I cannot recommend this location enough.

The private spa was fantastic, but we never could get the jets to work. Even if we are perfectly willing to accept this as operator error (i.e. somehow our inability to make it work) this was a small bother. Also, the aforementioned rude construction crew that started work too early, for which we really don't blame the property as we didn't call them to effect a cure.

Marizan Caves is paradise. Our villa was perfectly tucked away on the very corner of the bluff with the best views of the sunset in all of Oia! Super private from other travelers not staying in the villa. Yet only a 2 minute walk from the action. A private terrace with a full panoramic view. Markets close by for water and snacks and amazing food nearby no need for a car unless you plan to travel the island. Vicky and the staff were incredible and they offer an amazing breakfast to get your adventure started. We are new to Greece but quickly felt right at home in this location. 10/10

Everything was amazing, the location of the hotel is far from the crowded spots and tourists, the views from the room was more than we were expecting, they were just amazing! The room is amazing with the mini pool, the furnitures are great, bathroom is very nice. The staff was very kind and helpful, starting from the people who give you a hand on carrying your luggage from the parking to the hotel, and considering that Santorini has a lot of hills and stairs and traveling with a baby and stroller this kind of help was very nice. Vicky from reception was always helpful arranging the pick up from the airport, arranging a bout tour which was one of the best experiences we had in Santorini, and with any kind of question o assistance we had she was always there to help. Staff was always cleaning the villas, and so on. You can see all the staf working on making your visit very pleasant. We would come back to Marizan any time in the future, absolutely recommended!

This property is absolutely amazing. It’s a 5 or less minute walk to all of the iconic Santorini spots, yet tucked away as one of the last hotels on the island away from the insane crowds that would otherwise look into your private balcony area. Clean, amazing breakfast brought to you, great room service and the most outgoing, friendly people working here that will do anything to assist in making your stay more comfortable. I’d spend the money and then some all over again in a heartbeat!

The reception was wonderful! She explained everything about the area. The room and shower amazing! The Terrace has sunset view, jacuzzi had warm water. Breakfast was fabulous and so tasty. It’s definitely an experience to have! We used the terrace to watch the sunset and eat breakfast. We stayed for one night and felt like royalty there. They even brought 2 glasses of wine before the sunset. They have white robes and slippers Good water pressure in the shower Room has a little fridge, coffee machine with 4 complimentary coffee capsules Also tea

Parking was tricky. Don’t come between 4:30-7 if you need to park at the parking lot closest to the hotel. Everyone is there for sunset views at that time. We found parking on a dirt parking lot nearby. Then bellboy came and helped us with luggage , carried it to hotel

The hot tub, view of the caldera and breakfast was great. The staff were very helpful, especially the men who carried our heavy luggage through all those steps!

Our villa wasn’t private (at one stage an interviewer with a camera went inside our room while we were getting ready). Our room did not have a great view of the sunset so we had to go to the balcony to view it. Also on our last day, the electricity went out twice. As we paid a lot of money for this hotel, we were expecting better.

Great location if you're looking for sunset! The staff are all top-notch and always will do their best to give you the perfect stay experience! From the moment we came by a taxi to the nearest parking, there was already a porter waiting to pick us up and help with our luggage to walk to the hotel location. Then in the reception we were greeted by Zanet where she gave us the map of Oia and some handy know-how tips around the area! The reception is not 24 hour available, but you can always count on the staff to arrange anything you need and if you need any help!

The location of our room is some serious level below the hotel reception via stairs, which makes it a bit tiring if you leave the room frequently. But then again, this is logical if you want to have the best location possible and all that walking is all worth it I can assure you!
