I recently had the pleasure of spending a wonderful holiday at this incredible hotel with my daughter — just the two of us on a special dad-daughter trip — and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth by the amazing hosts, Vasso and Loula. These two sisters truly go above and beyond to make every guest feel at home. Their hospitality is unmatched — warm, attentive, and always with a smile. You can tell they care deeply about what they do, and it shows in every detail of the stay. The location is absolutely perfect — peaceful, scenic, and close to everything you might need, yet it feels like a hidden gem away from the crowds. The vibe of the whole place is so relaxed and inviting, making it the ideal environment for families or anyone looking to unwind and recharge. One of the highlights for us was the swimming pool — clean, well-maintained, and perfect for both kids and adults. My daughter had the time of her life, and I got to enjoy some real relaxation as well. This was more than just a holiday — it was an experience full of joy, comfort, and connection. A perfect place for a one or two-night stay near the airport. It has most of the amenities you need and is very clean. There’s also a nice walking and hiking path nearby, which was a great bonus!

It’s a great place for a one or two-night stay, but not ideal for a longer visit, especially if your room is on the ground floor, where you can’t open the blinds without compromising your privacy. The town itself isn’t particularly charming, especially considering how many beautiful spots Crete has to offer. The nearby beach is small and often crowded, and the cost to rent two sunbeds was listed at €35 (unless I misunderstood the sign), which felt quite crazy for the location.

Superb location. A relaxing holiday in a lovely hotel. The whole setting was spotlessly clean with an excellent pool. Very friendly staff. Crete is a lovely island and the Cretans are so kind and welcoming. Stavros is a quiet village with a handful of bars and restaurants with 2 very nice beaches and is a great place to chill and relax. We had a great time here at the Cathrin and hopefully return in the near future. Thanks for a memorable holiday.

We went with family in June for 2 weeks, and we loved it! Very beautiful place, amazing owners who became friends for life! Hotel was very cousy and clean, everyday 2 ladies cleaned it. We searched hotel with no breakfast, so there is no breakfast,but they have at reception coffee and sandwiches, and in 200m there's many restaurants with different choices, and at hotel room there is everything to make your own breakfast. Hotel placed in very quiet area, and for us it was absolutely perfect. Clean swimming pool and wiew to the big mountain! Beach is around 200m. Hotel made by amazing family, who have history to tell, they made us feel like home! We gonna be going there for many many years! Thank you Loula and Vasso for everything!

There nothing to say bad about it,we loved it!

Most of all i loved those Sweet Sweet Cats in the area of hotel 😻,who were well cared of.As an Animallover its very important to me that greeks care of their pets. The hotelroom was nice, enough room for me being alone,The sea-and mountainview was Adorable (i spent a lots of Time only watching it..).Room was clean,though i used the same towals for 4days. The environment was nice too,very cosy swimmingpool.The Staff was very friendly,and they gave information when needed.I would gladly Be someday back ☺️(cause i Already miss those little Cats 🐈‍⬛🐈)!

The road near to Stavros Beach,was horrible.Cars drove like crazy,no speed limits. There was only one supermarket in the area,If you need something Special,you need to travel by bus to Chania town. Or rent a car. Some nights were very noisy,i wish other customers think about others in hotel, when they come from restaurants..There are people who may want to sleep at night. It was sad to leave,but sometimes you have to leave,to Be back again someday..

The place is lovely and quiet, and it's really close to the beach and some good restaurants. We loved the swimming pool, great to chill out before or after a long day at the beach or sightseeing around! The owner Vasso has been super nice with us, suggesting some beautiful beaches we wouldn't have known about otherwise! I totally recommend this place. It's also easy to reach from the airport and a great base to discover the Akrotiri peninsula and the Chania area.

We had a lovely stay at Cathrin Suites. Vasso and Loula were so welcoming and helpful. The pool area is lovely and clean and there were always plenty of sunbeds. The apartments are a few minutes walk to the beach in one direction and a few minutes walk to 2 minimarkets in the other direction. For convenience, drinks and snacks can be purchased from the reception area and we took advantage of this a few times. Try the white wine, it's excellent! We would definitely recommend this as a base for the area, with great food options within a 5-10 minute walk. We will be back!

Nothing, everything was great!

Cathrin Suites is an excellent place to have a quiet vacation. Well located, clean and accompanied by lovely cats. The owners are adorable and always ready to help. They have all the necessary stuff for the beach you can borrow, there is also a little shop/bar at the reception. Thanks a lot and will love to come back!

Absolutely loved our stay at Cathrin Suites. Pool area was lovely, great location- right by a bus stop into Chania, a 2 minute walk away from a beautiful beach and some great restaurants, and a 5 minute walk from supermarkets with everything you need. Rooms had everything we needed and were very clean, staff were all lovely and so helpful.

The pool was incredible, the perfect size for both kids and adults. The garden was beautiful! Great price:quality ratio. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and there is a way to cook if you want to. There is a nice terrace in every room. The location is good: restaurants and beach near by. The hosts were really into making your stay even better. If you don't rent a car, the hosts can call and provide taxi for you, doesn't matter of the time leaving. They let us in the room earlier, because is was ready. They give maps and recommendations, it was perfect! They have a small reception where you can find drinks, sweets and savory snacks.

It's nice that they mop the room every day and take out the trash, but there is some place for improvement around the hygiene. It was a bit dusty on the kitchen counter and we went out of soap in the bathroom on the second day(there was no refill, not that we asked for). There was a devise to plug in to the socket probably for mosquitos(we haven't tried it), but there was nothing else to stop the mosquitos from entering the room. Other than that, it was perfect!
