The hotel itself is stunning. There is a breathtaking view and plenty of areas for relaxation. There are two pools, some entertainment areas and access to the sea. The breakfast has lots of options. The staff in the restaurant is professional, friendly and helpful. So is the staff in the Spa. I would really recommend booking a massage, it was the best one we’ve had so far.

Although most of the staff was quite professional, we were not happy with the overall service at the reception. We’ve received a room which was not as advertised, and when we politely asked if there was an option to change the room the situation wasn’t handled as you would expect for a five-star hotel. When it comes to the room and bathroom, while showering the water gets everywhere due to the bad engineering. After every shower, we had to clean the floor, which was very annoying. The hotel is quite far from the city. One of us felt very sick at night and had a fever. The reception didn't have a thermometer or some ibuprofen.

The room was very clean, the hotel itself was clean. Good selection for breakfast but morning hot drinks were not included. Dinner was good again happy with it.

I paid via booking.com, arrived at the hotel at 12.30 midnight with a 2 year old, and the receptionist said pay the full amount I was saying no I have paid already. She was not looking up the booking ref and asking to pay. My phone battery was dead therefore I had to recharge the battery and show her all the detail still was not convinced. Luckily another lady overheard us and walked over to the computer to read the booking details and said yes you have paid in full. Let's take you to the room..... Not the best checking in experience.

1- LOCATION: The resort was about a 20min drive from the airport and a 30 min drive from Chania Town. We enjoyed the peace and tranquility of being in a remote location, but also close enough to take a trip into town for shopping/sightseeing. The hotel provides free scheduled shuttles to the nearby beach and into Chania town, or you can take the local bus which operates every 2 hours depending on the day, for 2 euros a trip. Taxi is also an option albeit around 25/30 euros a trip! If you want to do a lot of exploration in your own time, visit local restaurants/go into town daily, then maybe hire a car. Otherwise, take advantage of the free and cheap rides like we did, whilst spending most of your time soaking up the views at this beautiful resort. 2- STAFF: The staff were absolutely pleasant our entire stay. They were always willing to help with any request we had, and went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and happy! On arrival at the hotel we were welcomed with a glass of Prosecco & fruit infused water. Check-in was seamless and we were provided with specially curated leaflets on local sightseeing recommendations, restaurants and activities. Katherina who is one of the managers would check in with us daily to ask if we needed anything, and would sometimes escort us to our table to eat. It's always nice to receive such a personal touch to your service as it makes all the difference to your hotel experience. 3- FOOD: Breakfast options were vast with something for everyone! The buffet dinner was overwhelming to say the least lol! So much food and desserts to choose from and we definitely enjoyed it. 4- FACILITIES: There are 2 adult pools and a pool for babies/children with floatables. There's also poolside cabanas & chairs. Games rooms are available for kids (and big kids), and a soft play area for smaller kids. Oops seems I've run out of space but you get the gist...you would love this place for a relaxing holiday!

1. There wasn't any in-room dining or an A La Carte restaurant option when we stayed (only a buffet restaurant for dinner and pool bar options for lunch...burgers, warm sandwiches etc). However, the hotel was getting ready to open their additional restaurant a week after our departure which they said would provide an A La Carte service. On nights when we didn't want the buffet or we weren't out for dinner in Chania Town we were able to order food from a local restaurant which arrived within 30 mins. BIG WIN!!!

the sea views and decor and design of the common areas are incredible

the shower floor was not properly sloped and water seeped out, the mid century modern room interior made it look dated and out of place with the architectural style which was amazing. when we arrived the management was waiting at the entrance with some refresher towels and snacks for some VIPs. Made us feel less special as everyone was waiting for them to arrive and we were not offered the towels or little plates. There were no toiletries or toilet paper in the room when we arrived. I called the reception at 2pm to let them know and at 8pm it was still not in the room.

It’s a gorgeous location

That it was still being built whilst we were there! It would have been nice to have some warning, as there was no restaurant on-site, we had to rent a car (which we didn’t plan on doing) so that we could go to places for dinner each day. It wasn’t the best way to start our honeymoon. Had we known the hotel wasn’t finished - we might have picked elsewhere!

We had a fantastic time at Isla Brown Chania. The highlight was the outstanding attention from Mary, who went above and beyond — recommending over 10 amazing restaurants and even arranging reservations to ensure we got great spots. The room with a sea view was beautiful, the gym was well-equipped, and breakfast was enjoyable. The overall design of the hotel is very nice with stunning views to the sea and sunset. Small private beach with access to the sea was amazing.

I’d suggest adding more gluten-free options, such as frozen bakery items, to better accommodate guests with celiac disease. The pool bar and restaurant (only buffet) are not in line with what one would expect for a 5 stars hotel. All in all, you rather go out for lunch or dinner as hotel’s options are really limited and of average quaility.

All in all, this was a superb stay. The hotel is very nice overall, built in a very picturesque location. The staff was awesome, very friendly and very helpful! The room was spacious and well-equipped, with beautiful sea views. The bed was really comfortable, as were the pillows, giving us good quality sleep. Breakfast was very tasty and so was the buffet restaurant. The bar was amazing, with brilliant staff and fantastic drinks! This is a highly recommended resort.

None, really, all was good! There are a couple of things, as always, that could be improved, but again those are minor details. One example is the selection of products at breakfast, when it comes to sweets/deserts. While not an issue of course, compared to other similar resorts, the selection was a bit smaller. Also, there could may be a couple of more convenience stores or other shops, as the resort is a bit secluded. Owing to that, it is also highly advisable to rent a car to stay there.

A Wonderful Stay at Isla Brown Chania I just returned from a fantastic holiday and had the pleasure of staying at Isla Brown Chania. The hotel exceeded all expectations. It's located in a calm and quiet area, which made it perfect for a relaxing getaway. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome — we were even greeted with champagne, which was a lovely touch. The hotel itself is modern, stylish, and spotless throughout. You can tell it's newly built and well-maintained. Breakfast was a highlight each morning, offering plenty of options to suit all tastes. Our room was spacious, filled with natural light, and had high ceilings with breathtaking sunset views — simply stunning. On weekends, the hotel features live jazz music, which added a charming atmosphere to our evenings. Whether you're looking to relax or explore the area, the hotel has everything you need for a perfect stay. General Manager always attending to Guests requests and good person. I would highly recommend Isla Brown Chania and would love to return in the future!

Incredible hotel! Amazing welcome by the staff, very helpful. Champagne and water brought to the room soon after check in was a lovely touch. Large room with amazing balcony with 2 very comfortable lounge chairs. Bed was lovely, big and very comfy. The shower was amazing, pressure and 2 different types of shower head. Toiletries had everything and more, eye mask with ear plugs, toothbrush, hair ties!! The whole hotel is gorgeous. Breakfast until 12 is fantastic, good spread with both hot and cold selections. Pool beds are very comfortable and there is a lot. Overall ambience was peaceful and calming. 10/10.

Not many restaurants close by so a car would be helpful. But not a problem. Gym is a little bit small but I’m just being picky. It has brand new equipment, treadmill, bike etc.
