Probably one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in! A lovely boutique style hotel, with a lovely family ownership, and extremely friendly staff, always service with a smile. Excellent pool and bar area, plus we had a beautiful sea view from our room, with some amazing sunsets on offer. It is easy to get to from the aiport, by taxi, or if you want to save some money, by bus to Chania, and then a bus to Stalos, plus, as an added bonus, there is a very well maintained sandy blue flag beach just across the road. Great selection of bars and restaurants nearby too, we would highly recommend Maria's and Nektar Beach. This is not your average 3 star property, its so much more than that, and really deserves a higher rating. Honestly, we just had the most amazing stay, and wished we had booked for longer. We've already discussed another trip there in a few years!

We loved everything! As the property is on a hillside, there are a series of steps down to the roadside and beach, which if you've had one too many could be an issue haha, but we quickly got used to those throughout the days! In conclusion, we were truly delighted with this gem of a property.

Friendly family run hotel, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is clean and immaculately maintained. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Evening meals and drinks very reasonably priced. There are good restaurants and bars in the local area and the beach is lovely, with several beach bars. This is my second stay here and I would thoroughly recommend it.

There is nothing I don't like about this hotel.

Renieris is a fantastic hotel! The room, the swimming pool area and the whole hotel was very clean. The view was impressive from our room, we enjoyed sitting on the balcony. The breakfast was the same every day, but there are a lot of possibilities to choose from, egg variations, bacon, sausages, vegetables, fruits, yogurt, homemade apple pie and a lot more. Tasty espresso based coffees (latte, cappuccino), tea and juices are included in the breakfast. The staff was very friendly and professional! And also the guests were so friendly, most of them are regular customers of the hotel. The beach is 3-5 mins from the hotel, you can reach it and the main street with restaurants and shops on a staircase on foot or of course by car on a longer road. The beach is mostly sandy, it is not the best in Crete, but it was perfect for a morning swim. We can not wait to be there again!

We liked everything!

The location to the town of Stalos and the beach is great. They have an awesome pool, comfy beds, and it was really clean. They helped us book a taxi to the airport for the morning we were leaving, even though reception wouldn’t be available at the time we needed AND they knew we would be missing breakfast so they made us sandwiches to take on the road.

To clarify a previous review since we stayed there twice during our trip, when you get sent the message from booking.com after booking and it states “free transport from and to the airport” they are talking about if you were to rent a vehicle through them. They will help you book airport transportation, but it is 40 euros.

The location of the hotel is just outside the town of Chania (10mins drive), for me this was perfect. The hotel has a high view point looking out over the sea, mountains, peninsula and an island off the coast. Amazing views of the sun setting can be seen if you have a sea view apartment. Breakfast was simple and tasty with freshly cooked eggs on request. The menu for evening food that we had was very good value for money and I would definitely recommend checking it out before venturing out for other food. In the room, the beds were comfortable and the shower very good. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

We had really great experience with this hotel! Perfectly clean, modern, they have so friendly staff. It was very silent and rooms are very good isolated. The view from the room is amazing. Beach is only 5mins away by foot and the bus station also. From there you can go to Chania in 15-20mins. Breakfast offer is really wide and for everybody there is something to find. Hotel bar restaurant works also all day long, so you can come over for lunch or dinner under very good prices and food was nice. We really liked the area also. Alltogether we bring very good impressions from this vacation!

All was perfect.

One of the rare places where we truly felt the family business vibe. Everyone is heartwarming and welcoming. The cleanliness is impeccable, the location is beautiful, and the facilities are very well maintained. The breakfast was solid in both quality and variety of food. We felt very welcomed throughout our entire stay.

Everything!! This is a very lovely family run hotel. First of all we loved service and people who are behind this service, they were extremely nice, helpful and enthusiastic about their job, especially big thanks to Georgios. When we arrived we asked to change the room for the better view and they quickly rearranged everything so that we have the room we wanted. The room was very clean, the view was amazing! It changed the atmosphere everyday when we saw turquoise water from our balcony. Every morning we were excited to have breakfast because of food and the place where it was organized. We had dinner once and everything was delicious, especially oven cooked feta. We didn't use the swimming pool but it seemed very nice and clean with stunning sea view. The hotel has a beautiful garden and it felt that they took a great care of every plant. Amazing experience overall, thank you again and we wish you the best!

Everything was exceptional!

The room was clean, modern and comfortable. We really liked breakfast options - some traditional greece foods and also classic choices. The staff was very helpful and kind - they also helped us rent a car. The best thing was pool, free refill of water bottles opened all day long and view from balcony.

The hotel is on a hill and has sweeping views across Stalos and the bay out to sea. The building has been set up to maximise that aspect. Amazing sunsets. In terms of the hospitality, we couldn’t have asked for more. The rooms, pool, communal areas and restaurant are spotlessly clean and the atmosphere is convivial and warm - it is obvious the Renieris is a family business run with care. The breakfast has something for everyone and the food available to buy from the pool bar is both good and a very reasonable cost. Can’t recommend it highly enough - we would absolutely stay again if we return to Crete.

It didn’t bother us at all but those with mobility problems should beware the hilltop location. There are handy steps to ground level but it would be a tough walk back up for some.
