The location of the property was ideal—just a short walk to the bustling Symi port. The grounds felt like a small, self-contained village: well-maintained, clean, and peaceful. On-site parking was also a great convenience. Our room was very spacious and included a separate living area with a table, sofa, and kitchenette. The balcony featured two chairs, a table, and a drying rack for wet clothes or swimsuits—very practical for a beach stay. The bedroom itself was roomy, and the bed was comfortable. Only the bedroom was air-conditioned, but we slept very well. We didn’t spend much time in the room aside from sleeping, but when we were there, we often left the balcony doors open to let in a breeze through the living area. Our stay included breakfast and it was a very nice spread of breakfast food, coffee, tea, juices and water. There was indoor and outdoor seating, which was very comfortable. The owners of the property were very friendly and made you feel at home. Overall we recommend the Opera House and look forward to staying there again when visiting the beautiful Symi island.

Breakfast was great, so many choices and well presented. Location of hotel was great, 5 minute walk and you was at the main harbour(which is beautiful) with lots of restaurants, bars, cafe and shops. Staff at hotel were very helpful, they organised a hire car for the day and recommended places to see on this very small island. My husband asked at reception for a massage in the spa rooms near the pool and they arrived within 10 minutes. Very good price too for the amount of time.

The Location; staff; lovely clean pool; comfy sunbeds; pool Towels; very nice room; very clean overall; 5 min walk to the harbour.

The beds - sorry but the mattresses are not thick enough so we did not sleep comfortably. Also the breakfast - we always found something to eat so all was well, but it just needs a little upgrade. The breakfast room lacked ambience, and it was like sitting in a conference hall. it’s such a lovely place and you have so much potential. Not a moan, just some advice.

Location (5 mins walk to the port and tonnes of restaurants), friendly and helpful staff, amazing scenery. gorgeous pool area although the pool was freezing.

Hot breakfast was poor. cold breakfast was OK (pastries were bland and dry) but very limited selection. Would have appreciated a coffee machine also. the room itself was fairly old fashioned which is fine but the bed was extremely squeaky. mattress could be replaced. shower was also a bit dodgy and made a high pitched sound ping pong table would have been good but the balls have misshapen in the sun so not able to be played

Our stay at this hotel was absolutely wonderful. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, always ready to make our experience more comfortable. The room was spotless, spacious with all the amenities we needed. The location is perfect, close to everything yet very quiet and relaxing. We truly felt at home and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. We can’t wait to come back

Lovely refurbished room. Lovely outlook. Less than 10 mins to walk to the harbour. Lovely terrace with bar overlooking the sea. Staff very friendly. Welcome pool when the weather gets very hot.

It would have been nice for the breakfast to be served on the terrace by the bar.

I loved the authenticity of living like a local. Owners and staff treated my family as there own family. The atmosphere was very vibrant. The night lights in the gardens felt warm and had great ambience. The place was truly spectacular

Beautiful buildings that are in Symi style. The staff were lovely and welcoming. Room 18 and overlooked the bar, but the bedroom was in the back, so never heard anything. Very central to the town and restaurants. Would go back in a heartbeat!

Our room was very spacious which was a pleasant surprise. The room was clean and the amenities were great. I booked in for a massage at the hotel which was lovely and very affordable. The staff are exceptional and very attentive and go above and beyond! Will definitely be back.

This placed exceed all our expectations. I did a lot of research before booking and found it a little hard to get a real feel for this place until arriving. First, it's close to everything - an easy, quick 5 min walk to downtown, without any big hills, steps, etc. to contend with. Second, given the hotel's name (Opera House) I worried it might not be authentic/Green run - completely NOT the case. It's run by an absolutely LOVELY family from Symi with a long lineage on the island. They completely made our trip - they were so warm and welcoming and helpful with everything we needed. They made us feel like family. The hotel is a series of buildings with various units, and it's spread so it feels spacious. The rooms were also spacious - we booked a 2 bedroom and it was great. Plenty of room to spread out (probably the most spacious room I've ever stayed at in Europe) and loved that there was a kitchen and fridge so we could make ourselves meals when we tired of eating out. A few small markets within a short walk to pick up supplies. And it was quiet at night (minus the goats and other animals in the hills) but loved that we didn't have to contend with thumping music or loud scooters all night (as we had in other areas). A total A++. I plan to book my room for next summer asap!
