My room was a double with a balcony looking to the Egnatia Road which is quite a busy road. I felt very privileged to stay in that location because Egnatia is the ancient Roman road from Constantinople to Rome. The accommodation is bed only but there are plenty of restaurants and Caffès in the street. I usually used the Caffè at the ground floor of the building which is called Polis which is very convenient and good value. The hotel staff were very friendly and the room was kept clean.

The location is very central and practical. The building is a bit old, though it is renovated and clean. I would recommend to someone that isn’t looking for luxury or to spend time in the room apart from the basics of bed and bath. We also appreciated the fact that we arrived earlier than check in time, and since the room was not in use at the point, they let us check in early!!!

There was a little fridge, but it would be nice if there was a kettle to make a quick coffee or tea.

The room was clean, and the staff did a good job cleaning it every day. The hotel is located on a central street, not far from the train station and the metro.

The hotel is located in the central part of the city, and the building is good. I think it would be great if they carried out renovation and restoration, replaced the furniture, and installed a proper shower, as everything gets wet when using it. There was no hot water from the tap in the sink; it was only available in the shower. The hotel staff is friendly.

I stayed 08-10 March in room 703. Hotel was in very very central place in Egnatia. You can walk everwhere easily. All touristic areas Aristo Square, sea shore, White Tower, Tsimiski, Kapani Bazaar, Modiano, Vardaris, Ladadika, Museums, Churchs, Bus and Train Station are so close. Nearly in 10-15 minutes you can reach them. Around hotel entrance lots of food shops, taverns, markets, taxi and bus station. So you are in the heart of the city.. Hotel Ilios's location was great because it situated at the corner on famous Egnatia Odos. And the building has chareteristic and classic style. it has is own soul. Wood details, huge areas, arm chairs in common areas. My room was in the highest floor so had a wonderful view anf large private terrace, balcony. But the important thing is the friendly, helpful staff and warm hospitality. Thank you very much again. I highly recommended Hotel Ilios. Next time we will meet again in Thessaoniki. The locationwas excellent on the center walking distance from the sea, markets, you have bus staions near the hotrls and also a supermarkets and other palces you can order a takeout, the staff at the reception was very nice and helpful

The lobby always smells of cigarettes, there litrelly stains from that there and apprently people altough not allowed to smoke inside the roomse thet do.so sometimes, at the reception i was told there is nothing they can do about that

Perfect hotel. Nice, clean rooms, airco working perfectly. Bathroom fine. Very friendly staff, perfect, central location. No breakfast, but there are plenty of opportunities just around the corner. Hard to find better accommodation for this price.

The only thing I can think of was that it could take some time before the water in the shower was really warm. Not a big issue though.

Good budget Hotel. Comfy room, great balcony where I could see the sunset colours. A glimpse the sea. Good TV, didn't need A/C. Close to many eateries and staff recommended best places to go for different foods. I would stay again. Less than 1K, and an easy walk, from main bus and train station.

The need to walk one floor of stairs before the elevator (I had an injured knee & it was a struggle). Bathroom drain cover was loose and my walking stick got caught twice. It was dangerous for me..

Its by far the best hotel in Thessaloniki,10min walk to Aristotel square and the coast,Dimitri and his brother are amazing hosts,school example of hospitality.Room very clean,towels changed daily,cleaning ladies do excellent job, Can hardly wait to come back! Thank you all :)

Very clean and excellent location closed to bakeries , kebab restaurants, transports, cloth shops and 11 minutes walking ro Aristotelous square. One bus straight from and to the airport. The receptionists were quite friendly and provided details about the area. Value for its money

This hotel is a bit underrated. Great location, but without parking. However, we managed to find somewhere close to park. The view is great and it is located close to areas with great interest. The room had also a fridge, which is quite convenient when you have kids.
