Being situated in the middle of the city meant I never had very to go very far find anything that I needed be it shops, bars restaurants or even to find my friends. The staff were exceptionally nice and helped me when ever I need it. The room was very comfortable and the bed was a joy to sleep in after a long day on the town. The balcony was a very welcoming added bones. The breakfast was also very nice. The Greek pastries were a personal favorite.

On the down side. The bathroom was a bit too small and the shower didn't have a door or curtain meaning the bathroom floor got a bit wet. The other problem was that the wall seemed a bit too thin. I spent my last night hearing a group of very lively women having a party in there room next to mine. Over all these are the only minor down sides to an otherwise very comfortable hotel.

The staff at registration were very kind. The location is great — very close to the main attractions and public transportation. The room was clean, and even though I stayed for just two days, they cleaned it after the first day, which I really appreciated. I can definitely recommend this place!

Unfortunately, during my first night, I couldn’t sleep because my neighbors were very loud and the walls are quite thin. Also, although I appreciated the cleaning lady checking if I needed anything, she came very early in the morning. Lastly, the Wi-Fi was unstable at times.

The location couldn’t be any better. We arrived little earlier, left our luggage to the storage room and went out for a walk, the front desk was kind enough to call us that the room was earlier than the check in time. The rooms was spotless and although it is located in a noisy area (centre of the town) the room was very quiet.

One small thing is that before checking out, after a short knock on the door the door was immediately opened by the housekeeper, and she apologised telling that she thought the room was empty. It didn’t cause any awkward moments as we were dressed and ready to go, but it would be better if she would announce herself!

Good breakfast - variety of choices, both sweet and savour. Great location, easy to access by public transport. Walkable distance to main attractions. Clean. Enough of amenities. I expected room to be a bit be noisy from the busy street, but it wasn't that bad. We were on higher floor though.

Shower did not have doors, so it was easy to "flood" the bathroom, if you were not careful enough. Nothing really important, for the price and location, it was worth the money.

We stayed at El Greco hotel at the beginning and the end of our trip. First we came with a rented car and at the end we used the bus from and to the airport where we returned the rental car. The hotel is very easy to reach both by car and buy airport bus (the bus stop is almost in front of the hotel), but note that there are many stops and the bus is very crowded. So you may prefer taxi. I found the breakfast absolutely great. A lot of choice, traditional soup, stuffed vine leaves, various local pies, beans, different kinds of eggs and bacon, almond milk and variety of fruit and cakes. Cereals, yogurth (full fat and reduced fat), butter and margarine, jam and honey. So even as a vegan I could enjoy a wonderful breakfast. The beds were fine, enough room for two big suitcases, very spacious shower cabin, soft towels. The hotel is on a busy street, so it gets noisy from traffic, ask for a room not facing the main street (Egnatia) if you have a light sleep.

Initially, I didn't have so many expectations, I thought it would only be a 3-star hotel, which is also a bit far from the center, but my expectations were exceeded!!! The size of the room is generous, we had a triple room and we didn't bump into each other at all, the bathroom was large, it had a large balcony, kettle, tea, coffee refilled daily, fridge. The breakfast was the best of the 3 locations where I stayed this vacation and I also stayed at a 4-star hotel in Kalambaka. The one from El Greco was far above the 4-star one! The distance from the center is small, you can find everything nearby, restaurants, cafes, supermarkets. I came from the airport by bus and the station is about 100m away. The internet worked extremely well and was never interrupted during the 5 days I was there!

The quality of the coffee at breakfast could be a little better and the shower was always a bit flooded, but anyway I gave it the highest mark!

Breakfast was excellent. Room was clean.

Garage is quite tricky to park in, staff was there to help but its like parking in an abandoned basement. Only small cars can fit and Renault Modus (its a bit wider and higher then Renault Clio) that we drive is on the upper limit of what can be parked in the garage. Traffic and roads are also problematic, it's quite hard to go left since all streets are forward only with only a few right turns. Also people park like its a wild west in some streets so you can barely go through them.

Good breakfast, clean room, very friendly staffs. The daily cleaning was also nice.

The shower didn't have doors, so the bathroom was wet all over after use. But they did prepare enough towels. Might be better to have some type of curtain to prevent the water splashing all over. Also the card key expired two times during my six-night stay, which was a bit inconvenient. The staff told me that it was due to security reasons.

We arrived by plane in Thessaloniki, so we took a direct bus in front of the airport that left us a few minutes walk to hotel. The hotel is located on a lively main boulevard in the city. Many shops, taverns and supermarkets can be reached within walking distance. 15 minutes walk away are the train station and the harbor, while another 20 minutes away are the white famous tower and the city's main sights. They accepted our check-in early, answered and helped us with all our questions and requests regarding the sights in the city and surroundings, public transport and local tips, the reception staff being absolutely wonderful. The room where we were accommodated was a standard matrimonial room, quite spacious, located on the upper floor, equipped with air conditioning, small refrigerator, lcd TV, with a generous balcony, where we could admire and take the pulse of the city from the top. The room was cleaned daily and towels were changed. The breakfast was a Swedish buffet, quite good containing, among other things, local Greek products, which was a plus. I didn't try wi-fi, having enough mobile data allocated while roaming.

Throughout our stay, the breakfast was identical, changing practically no products from those offered as standard & first day we arrived. The coffee was absolutely horrible, served in the filter like thermos - without other options such as a cappuccino, latte, espresso, etc. The isolation of the room is mediocre, easily hearing when someone comes and goes in the hallway and elevator or speaks louder in the adjoining rooms. Although the boulevard is very lively at night, it is quite dangerous to walk, a lot of homeless and drugged people circulating and sleeping on the streets near the hotel.

It was extremely clean, the rooms were nicely cleaned every day, and also the rooms were amazingly well equipped. I liked the balcony also and the view. Also the breakfast was 10/10.

The AC was not the strongest unfortunately. On hotter days it was difficult to cool dpwn the room and it was just pretty humid inside.
