Everything was perfect but the price. The room was clean with comfy beds and fridge. We got the topfloor east facing room with a little lake view. The breakfast and the dinner was delicious , during our stay the 7 days we got all the hungarian “musthaves” with nice dessert and fruit varieties.

I only did not like the price of the double room with half board, as a local it seems a bit overpriced. We had to pay for the sunbeds at the hotel’s strand.

I stayed in a renovated room and everything was new and clean, with a beautiful view of Lake Balaton and the park from the balcony. Breakfast was the same every day but offered a wide selection. I personally missed having some bacon and pancakes. Dinners are totally worth it, soft drinks are included. There’s a large paid parking area in front of the hotel, and if it’s full, the staff is very helpful. They speak fluent English. Each floor has a terrace with a panoramic view of Balaton, which is a great bonus. In front of the hotel there’s a large pool, and the hotel also has its own private beach, the whole area is very well maintained.

Room was very new, refurbished. It was small but well equipped. We had a great view of the lake. Bathroom was clean and very functional, no bad odors. Hotel looks outdated from outside, but inside it is very well maintained. Parking in front of the hotel, a lot of parking spaces. It's not free, but well worth to pay it. There is shade from the trees, spaces are not narrow, and it seemed like there was always enough space to park. Also location of the hotel is fantastic, it's very near the lake and center. The private beach was small but nice to have. :)

Breakfast was very basic, and food was bland. It was just okay, we kind of expected it to be a bit better. But there are enough options.

Very well located in Balatonfured, everything was easy to reach by walking. Room was quiet and nice, a lot of options for breakfast and dinner. Access to pools and private hotel beach. Loved that room had net for bugs/mosquitos built into the doorframe, so we could keep the door open for fresh air.

There was a strange citronella smell in the bathroom, my assumption was that it was to repel bugs, but not sure. Maybe it came from the shower gel which had citrusy smell. Also, it would be nice is sun beds were for free for hotel guests on the hotel beach (they were free at the pool). Overall, no complaints, just minor things.

The location of the hotel is great. Lake Balaton and the cozy promenade are right next to it. Although it looks like it's a 60-year-old building, you can see that they care about it. The food is delicious and varied. What I would like to highlight is that the staff members were really nice to us from start to finish.

The only weak point was the lack of room darkening. The blackout curtains didn't really block out the light, so the sun came in very early and it was still daylight at dawn, which bothered my kids.

Despite our visit being very short, we had a really pleasant stay here. The room was nice and the staff were polite. We enjoyed the pool, plenty of sunbeds. The location is perfect, right on the Tagore promenade. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of food also, apart from international "standard" hotel food there were proper Hungarian dishes e.g. "borsófőzelék" and "túrós csusza" that tasted homemade and delicious, so all credits to the chefs. I hope to come back at some point in the future for a longer stay.

The food dis not get good rates in the comments, but it was good quality and variety as well. The young waitresses was quicker and more polite than Hotel Marina, and yet they would give a smile as well, wishing good day. Amazing!!!! The room was better than Marina, the colors the furniture, the bathroom was awesome( we have new rooms in both hotel)and the balcony, OMG .The complimentry water was very nice and the bed was very comfy. The room had water boiler, coffee tea sugar! The facility downstairs area is the biggest and they can use well the spaces. Also the lifts are on two separate sides, therefore not as crowdy.The bubbles club for the kids is very good, here are more flexible ( we asked glass painting and they said ok) than Hotel Marina or Danubius BÜk). The receptionist on Wednesday afternoon at 1400, the gentleman with glasses...very professional, you can see he is enjoying his work, he explains everything, very kind and smiles!!!! He should teach the other receptionist how to behave behind the desk!!!

The waitresses and cleaning ladies are smiling more when they see a guest than the receptionist. Even at check out they don't say thank you for staying with us, have a good trip, can I help with something else, and this is Hungarian to Hungarian!!! I am not sure what they say to a foreigner .. The bubbles club should go out to Annabella beach because in the afternoon no one will stay at the hotel pool, which is very cold for kids. I did not like the sunbeds at the beach, I asked 3 people how does that work or how to pay they did not know. The hotel says it does not belongs to them ( handing over the chairs) well may be it should be. If

This hotel was originally built in 1968. I stayed with my Mom and sister for several days at that time and I still remember what a nice place it was today. It has since undergone extensive renovation and we stayed in one of the newly refurbished rooms on our visit to Lake Balaton this past June. How was it? In a word...wonderful. The restaurant is now a buffet for breakfast and dinner. (Included with the room rental) Everyday there were new items on offer and the kitchen definitely satiated my craving for good hungarian food. The private beach is located just across the boardwalk and there are beach chairs on offer for a nominal fee. There are also two swimming pools located on the property Special mention to Mr Kiraly at reception...very helpful and friendly man. Ms Andrea - restaurant staff. Also helpful with recommendations.

The buffet and restaurant could get fairly crowded at peak times but if you came 40 mins the initial rush it was fine.

The rooms had a beautiful view, the rooms were perfect for their purpose. The pool was great as well, it wasn’t cold but just cold enough to cool off a bit in the heat. The food was delicious and there was a lot to choose from. The location was perfect as well, right next to the beach and just a 15 minute walk from the port. There was also a dancing event with live music which was super fun!

The rooms were kinda old fashioned (standard rooms) so I wouldn’t recommend it to people who are going there to be in their hotel room most of the time, but why would you want to stay inside at such a beautiful place?

the newly renovated rooms are beautiful, spotless and nicely designed! the location of the hotel is right off the Tagore promenade and the marina is only 5-8mins by foot. the breakfast was between 7AM-10AM, but even at 9:50AM, guests are welcome to grab a late bite. every staff member we encountered was kind and helpful. you can use the hotel's private beach even after checking out.

the price of the accommodation is too high, to put it simply. it was the weekend of the Anna bál, but still, Balatonfüred is not for average-earning Hungarians anymore. to compare - I have stayed in one of Miami's best hotels for the exact same nightly price before. the design in most of the hotel's common areas is outdated. the furniture in the breakfast area is old, worn out and not comfortable. even when the beds are pushed together to make a double bed, there is a gap between the beds, which is very uncomfortable to sleep on. the check-out time (10AM) is too early. most hotels around the world have it at 11AM or 12PM which is much more comfortable.
