We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. The breakfast options were great, offering a variety of delicious choices to start the day. The hotel itself was very clean, and the attention to detail was evident throughout our stay. The location was perfect, with easy access to nearby attractions.

However, we did notice that the hotel was busier over the weekend, which made it a bit less relaxing than we'd hoped. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again!

The hotel Golden Lake is a lovely hotel to stay, right in the marina complex, surrounded by cafes, shops and good restaurants. The room was of a good size with a comfortable bed and decent sized bathroom. Breakfast was good, with a nice selection of various foods to choose. The spa is also well equipped with a nice sized indoor pool, and another unheated outside pool. There is also a good sized underground car park. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to others.

There is much to like at this hotel, but the welcome from the staff has to top the bill. They are all lovely, and very thoughtful. The facilities are great. Good size indoor and outdoor swimming pools, sauna, and spa. Breakfast and dinner were good. The hotel is situated in the centre of Balatonfured near the harbour - easy walks to places of interest. This is our top choice of three hotels we have stayed in Balatonfured. Next visit, it is where we would choose to stay. Thank you to all of those working hard to keep the hotel guests happy.

All was great

The room looked very good, everything was super clean. The staff was helpful, we enjoyed the indoor pool. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was really good, wide variety of choices and eveything was fresh and tasty.

The rooms are not sound proof at all. We could hear people on the hallway and the music coming from the restaurants outside.

Everything was fantastic: the room, location, wonderful view over the lake, great breakfast, fabulous wellness centre......Absolutely the best location in Balatonfured and the best facilities.

The bed was not so comfortable, it was a bit hard and had a rubber or plastic protection for the mattress, which was warm and not comfortable. We requested late check-out and were told that we could keep the room until 16:00. We found out that we had to pay extra for this when we checked only. We were not informed at the time of the request, which would have been better.

It offers everything you’d expect from a 4 star hotel. Our room overlooked the marina and had a large terrace which unfortunately could not be enjoyed because of the weather. Also be warned that in the low season there are only 2-3 dining choices available in town with last orders at 19:30.

The rooms, breakfast, lobby were all fine. The spa pools and outdoor sauna were all fine as well but the indoor sauna was tepid. It would be a good idea to request it be turned on well before you intend to use it

Super location. Spacious, very clean room. Nice breakfast. Friendly staff. Underground, well-guarded parking garage. Nice facilities (indoor-outdoor pool, beach bar). A lot of space in the wardrobe would make the accommodation relevant also for longer stays.

The central ventillation in the room is very loud and could not be switched off which was quite disturbing by night. The shower was small and uncomfortable, the water was not really hot. Mowing lawn at 7.30 am in front of our window was not really customer friendly.

After we had some issues with our hotel room and changed it multiple times (loud AC, WiFi not working etc), the night staff was very friendly and helpful and helped us to find a new room.

Super-central location, at middle of the promenade with bars and shops, yet most rooms offer some shelter from the noise. Cosy pool area with a cocktail bar and also kid’s pool. Welcome glasses of champagne were nice upon arrival.

Parking into the garage upon arrival was confusing and reception staff weren’t taking our request nicely to help with this. The signage for the garage was not obvious either.

Great location.

Room 101 was next to a noisy bar. We were told of this at checkin, but no other rooms were available. Options of fruit for breakfast were limited. I saw only plum and apricots. More should be made available (banana, apple, dried fruit etc)
