Brody House was absolutely amazing! I have been to many hotels around the world but this one is the most special one amongst them all! We loved the look of it from when we saw the photos online, but in reality it exceeded our expectations. The room was spacious, tall and stylish, giving it a nice vibe from the moment you get in, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Nice and spacious bathtub too! We had both brunch and dinner at the hotel restaurant and the food was really tasty, but expect it to be a little expensive. We also enjoyed the signature cocktails of Beni Fulesi who participates in 2025 in the World Class Cocktail Festival. All in all, we had an absolutely fantastic time and we will stay at Brody House every time we come again to Budapest!

Very grand, shabby chic art / boutique hotel. Our grand bedroom had an equally grand common living and kitchen area shared between two rooms. No TV (we learnt to enjoy its absence) and no lift. Great restaurant downstairs open from 8am to 4pm - the kitchen closes at 3pm. The staff seem proud to work there and show real interest in their customers - and Mary must get a special mention. Great location opposite the Hungarian National Museum. We would return to stay at Brody House without a second thought and would love to find its equivalent in each European city we visit.

We stayed in the Vilmos room. The hotel is not very big but every corner of it is tastefully decorated. Our room and the common rooms very beautiful. The common rooms have a small kitchenette which allows to prepare small meals that is convenient. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

The only thing I can think of is the noise isolation. It isn’t bad but we could hear things from the street very well in our room or from the bar downstairs (only one night). There was an event the first night we arrived and we’ve been warned about it in advance, but it was still possible to hear the music in our room. But even that didn’t ruin our stay here.

From the street you would walk past this building but once inside a very special hotel awaits. If you’re looking for excellent service, unique decor, and a room to remember then this is the place. If staying at the weekend the ground floor opens up as a fantastic bar and restaurant with a great atmosphere and huge selection of local and international drinks. A fantastic place to stay for a few days in Budapest.

Everything was wonderful

Very friendly, professional and helpful staff. The reception is not open until late, but they provided detailed instructions for self check in, let us store our luggage and even put flowers in a vase :) The design of the rooms and common areas is unique and stylish, it was a pleasure to stay there! Although the building is old, the rooms are sufficiently and modernly equipped. We had a room with a nice bath tub, spacious shower, bath robes, vanity table with great lightening for doing make up. The bed was comfortable. The hotel is very conveniently located in a beautiful area. The building is historical and gorgeous outside and inside. There was a cafe inside the hotel with great coffee and a self-service drinks bar.

The breakfast was available only from 8:30 (also on weekdays), which was too late for us, so we couldn’t enjoy it.

Fantastic building and location with a fabulous art room. Very helpful and detailed communications before arrival about key codes and instructions to get into the room. Very peaceful location with a very handy shared common kitchen. Room was warm and welcoming when we arrived and daily service to smarten the room was great. Underfloor heated bathroom was a nice touch as were the robes and the coffee pods and tea in the kitchen area. Honesty bar and fridge was also a bonus.

It couldn’t have been better!

The Brody House is not your average hotel. It is an art gallery. It is a restaurant/cafe. It is history. It is the ideal location. We found the Brody House to be among the very finest hotels we have EVER stayed in!! Our room was larger than some apartments we've lived in, but with so much class and funky style!

Great style, ambiance, comfort and location. The staff were accommodating. We liked the ability to use the kitchen areas to make our own food, particularly breakfasts when we needed to get away early. That said, the breakfasts provided in the courtyard were delicious.

Brody Sandor Utca is a narrow street. Whilst I knew the hotel had no parking facilities, I had not been advised that there was also no space to even pull over the hire car and unload our luggage. No body from the hotel was able to come out and assist unloading 5 peoples luggage, so immediately I had cars behind on their horns in a street and City in which I had never driven. Could the hotel not come to some arrangement to have some of the street bollards nearby removed to allow for, at least, temporary loading?

Brody House is simply soooo cool. It has Soho Farmhouse vibes but at far more affordable prices. We booked a studio which came with 2 bathrooms. What a bonus! The rooms are designed using reclaimed furniture and fittings whilst respecting the building heritage. The kitchen was well equipped and we also had a balcony looking at the inner courtyard. There is no furniture on the balcony though. All the rooms are filled with fabulous artwork and everything we needed for our stay. Brody House takes hotels to the next level. It was hard to leave and we will book again!

Lovely to be in a great location in the center of Budapest within easy walk of pretty much everywhere but in a funky, different and unique room. The rooms are spacious with high ceilings, fantastic showers/bath and lovely parquet flooring. The onsite cafe does superb brunch options which were enormous and the staff were friendly, helpful and able to give us some great tips for evening meals. If you want something different in the heart of the city - this is the place for you.
