We chose this hotel based on a positive experience we had at another Ibis hotel in Liverpool — and we're happy to say that this was another excellent choice. The hotel has a great location, close to the city center with easy access to public transportation (metro, buses, and trams are all just a few minutes' walk away). The street itself is full of restaurants, cafés, and a lively local atmosphere, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-organized, the staff was kind, helpful, and welcoming, and breakfast was a pleasant surprise — fresh, varied, and satisfying. In summary: a cozy hotel, great location, friendly service, and excellent value for money. We’d be happy to return on our next visit to Budapest!

The room is too small.

The staff is what I like most (I have stayed at this hotel almost yearly for the past couple of decades. They are always so helpful. This year I would like to shine a light on Monika, who quickly helped me get a refund for my cancellation of our last 3 nights due to my being ill and needing to return to the States. I have always had exceptional assistance from the crew at Ibis Centrum. The other big draw for me is location in the heart of Budapest and close to tram and underground lines.

The room is equipped with everything necessary. Space was okay for one person, however for two persons and luggage it might get a bit difficult. The staff was friendly and the location is great. The Great Market Hall is in walking distance as well as the promenade of the Danube and the Gellert Mountain. Further, it is well connected to the metro, tram and buses.

The breakfast was good and the variety was large, however, I was a bit disappointed that there was only bread and buns available which needed to be toasted. Even though, you can find good bread and buns in bakeries and Aldi.

Breakfast buffet was lovely, rooms were clean and the right size. Nothing to complain about. Location was great, walking distance to most places if your a keen walker and if not there plenty of public transport near by. The bus from the airport literally stops around the corner so it’s very easy to get to and from the airport. Metro and trams are literally outside and plenty of restaurants around the local area. Took us about 30 mins to get to the thermal spa via the metro it’s very easy

Nothing. Maybe the rooms are a bit dark but other than that I couldn’t fault it.

The hotel was well maintained and clean, staff was professional and kind, bed was comfortable and the room was well heated considering the cold weather. The facilities for a 3 star hotel are much better than many 4 or 5 star hotels and the design of the hotel was much more modern and newer.

There was no prior information given to us that there will be construction during our stay, we found out when we checked in, however it was not that much of a bother. The shower was leaking on the bathroom floor whenever you took a shower as the door did not close properly.

The property was easy to find, with a smooth and straightforward check-in process. Janka was exceptionally helpful and made me feel welcome from the start. The room had all the basic amenities I needed, and I was fortunate to be given one on the upper floor with a lovely view. It’s a pity I was only staying for a night—as I would’ve loved to enjoy the view, the room, and the overall service a bit longer. All in all, it was a perfect stay, and I’d be happy to return if I’m in the area again.

The room was nice, clean and very comfortable. I enjoyed having the window towards the inner courtyard as it offered a very quiet night this way. Hotel staff were all very nice, respectful, patient and ready to give sightseeing ideas and instructions on how to get somewhere. The location is perfect, close to the very center of the city - it only takes 15 minutes to walk there. There are endless restaurants, cafes, pubs nearby and all sorts of touristy shops as well as a very quaint antiques'. The metro station and bus stop are right around the corner.

The room was a bit on the small side (standard double room), but being out sightseeing most of the day it was still ok for the short stay. If it'd have been a longer stay, I would've chosen a bigger room. The parking fee is a little steep (it comes out a bit pricey vs street parking or other garages), but totally worth it if you want your car conveniently right there.

The room was big enough. The breakfast was as expected. The location was excellent. The hotel is located in a area where the main transportation lines are crossing.

The room needs renovation. It was not equipped with a small fridge. I was not expecting this during the booking. When traveling with a kid, it is good to have a fridge in the room. Also, it was not clean under the beds. Usually under the bed cleaning is not a big deal but when traveling with small kids they try to hide and play there.

Central and accessible location. Plenty of options to get around the city. The Hotel itself is secure, very clean and well-maintained. We tried the breakfast buffet on our last day, and has good selections and worth it for the price.

Very small room. It's a good thing I'm alone, otherwise, it would be very cramped for 2 people. The lighting is also very dim. I travelled during winter but the heater is way too hot! I just turned it off because I was sweating. For those planning to stay here, just FYI: No ref, no coffee/tea-making facility (but you can order at the main lobby), no safety locker, and tv has very limited English channels. Nonetheless, I would still recommend this hotel & I had an overall nice stay.

we were out all day from about 10am to 11pm ..liked the 24 hour manned reception...and bar Excellent position for 49 tram and the metro at Kalvin ter...very easy to get about Staff were pleasant and helpful and spoke English Good varied breakfast buffet Room was small but had everything that we needed

we were there for World Athletics Championships in Budapest ......I would have expected staff to have information regarding easiest way to get to the stadium...also didnt seem to know where Airport Express Bus went from. Easiest way to stadium was Metro Green line Kalvin Tre to Fovam ter which is 1 stop then transfer to tram 2 also at Fovam Ter to the end of the line. 100E airport express bus stop was actually on the next road.
