Very nice room, comfortable bed but pillows were too soft and I got a slight neck sprain. Room is big enough with a small balcony, which one can get out with city view. Breakfast was a good spread but would have preferred fresh juices. Made to order omelette was very nice. Good combination of breads. Excellent location. You can’t simply beat this hotel in terms of location. Access to public transportation is excellent since Astoria M is a major stop, shops and restaurants are all around, Danube is 15mts walk away, so is the Christmas market.

Housekeeping didn’t vacuum the room even once in my 5 days stay. The first day they shoved the dirt right below the wardrobe. There is a cobweb in the corner. The single sofa is dirty and unclean. They didn’t even make the bed properly.

The room was fabulous, magic, old school, spacious, luminous, warm, the breakfast was delicious with many choices, the location is central and everything is reachable on walking distance. The staff was friendly and I received all I asked. The hotel and the piano bar Astoria breath with elegance and beauty recalling old historical epochs. I will come back in this hotel!

The water in the bath /shower was changing rapidly from hot to cold, which could be considered as health benefit. I waited a bit longer to check in while other guests could check in immediately as they arrived.

I liked everything. Everything was truly magnificent. Stuff were friendly and helpful. They were mindfull and funny. The cleaners were thorough and always replaced towels. Bed was comfortable, sheets were clean, facilities were usefull. Window sound isolation was as good as it could be, but if one is to book this hotel ve aware this hotel in on the road that is often used for emergencies so u can hear ambulance siren frequently but we didn't mind it. If ypu have a late flight or bus booked stuff offers you to leave your luggage in their luggage room for free. Also, everything was close and easy accessible from this location so one huge plus for that.

Extremely easy access to public transport including the 100E airport bus (even for overnight transfers). The front desk was always staffed, making it easy to check-in or out. Also great location for enjoying Hungary in general, convenient for walking around the city to major sights, great dining areas, shopping and bars. The room itself was wonderfully spacious and had plenty of seating. The bathroom was clean and neat. This hotel gets all the basics right. The show shining machine was a welcome surprise.

Our tv was not tuned to access channels but we didn’t use it anyway so never requested assistance. Our only unusual interactions were with room service, one morning we received a knock on our door at 9.30am for room cleaning and the next day we returned from a morning of sightseeing to have some lunch and got a knock at 12.45pm. We are not fussy about room cleaning and said do not worry about it the second time, but it was unusual and hard to gauge when to be out of the room.

The staff is so friendly and helpful, they were trying to help you and fix your requests immediately. The breakfast was so varied and delicious. I really appreciate the helpfulness of the staff.

I think toothbrush and toothpaste should be provided in a 4-star hotel, the cleaners should clean the room thoroughly (I found used chewing gums and crumbles behind curtains, and dusty table and chairs). The hotel needs renovation and to upholster sofa, armchairs, chairs.

Well. There's a lot to say, but in generally very good values for money, relatively large and very comfortable and clean rooms, great breakfast, awesome location - the entry to the metro is literally 10 feet from the hotel door. Definitely best choice for the city vacation

Can have a hard time finding parking around - so if you are with car, probably not the best choice, but hey, with metro, tram and buses stop near the hotel - why one would need a car? Ah, the only minor thing that could be better - the room cleaning staff - should probable wash the coffee cups and refill coffee and tea facailities along with making the bed and cleaning the room. But this is so minor, it could hard effect the my grade on the hotel

The Danubius Hotel Astoria City Centre Budapest is ideally located in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore a variety of attractions within walking distance or a short metro ride. The metro stations Astoria and Ferenciek tere just steps away from the hotel. There are supermarkets, MacDonald’s and souvenir shops nearby. The Chain Bridge, Hungarian Parliament, and the bustling street Vaci utca (shopping) are all within walking distance. We stayed three nights at this hotel in October 2024. Front desk staff are very helpful. The check-in service was quick. There’s a beautiful gift shop behind the reception. The room was clean and spacious. We had comfortable beds. Towels changed daily. The breakfast was a buffet style and had a variety of choices. Overall, it was a nice stay for us.

We arrived in Budapest by bus at Nepliget. From there, we took M3 and left at Ference ter station. Another 5-minute walk and we were at the hotel which is very close to the center. Very friendly and helpful staff, beautiful old-style location in great condition. Our room was in the modern part, and the whole place is very, very nice. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant and it was a trip down memory lane of the good old days. Very friendly and kind restaurant staff and a wonderful piano player!!! We so much appreciated his performance and repeatedly "silently" applauded him. Very nice breakfast, in short, great, awesome location and we will certainly return to this hotel upon our next visits in Budapest.

I came to this hotel last minute after I had arrived at the most disappointing hotel I had previously booked. I booked Austria online and then arrived at reception abut 15mins later - I was very warmly greeted and welcomed by staff so kindly after I was stressed and frazzled from a 7 hour travel day. The hotel is lovely, very nice inviting vibe, the rooms were very spacious and extremely clean! I am a 30 year old female who is solo traveling Europe, so safety was my first priority, which I absolutely felt at this hotel! I would definitely recommend
