- Excellent location near Astoria (1min) and Deak Ferenc (7-8min by foot). Metro and tram are 1-2 minutes by foot, bus to/from the airport stops at Astoria and Deak Ferenc. The area is safe even late at night, plenty of stores, bakeries, convenience stores, and everything nearby. Getting anywhere in Budapest was easy from this location. - Staff aren't there the whole time, but were always reachable by WhatsApp and super helpful and friendly. - The common kitchen is excellent, and the fridge there is shared by all 6 rooms. We had cold water, yogurt, and more, and no one touched them. - Leaving luggage was possible after checking out. - Bed was super comfy, room was big and well equipped, A/C was nice to have, shower was clean, and we had clean towels when we asked for them.

- There was a "humidity" smell in the room that just wouldn't go away, no matter how much we tried to aerate the room. The building is very, very, very old, so it could be coming from it, but it wasn't ideal. After 3-4 mins in the room, we'd get used to it, but it always took a while each time we left and came back. - There's an elevator, but it's old, makes noise, and left us a bit scared the first few times. Then we got used to it. - The building is shared by another hotel (and residents, I think?), so don't expect a regular hotel over multiple floors.

I liked everything about this accommodation! Customer service: From day 1 of the booking confirmation, until the last day we checked-out, the customer service was exceptional. Location: You can't beat the location! GSB is just a few minutes walk from/to the Astoria M, bus stops, cafeterias (Mon Chéri was a brilliant coffee shop, just downstairs from the accommodation), souvenir shops and delicacies. It is also a 3-minute walk from Deák Ferenc tér, the main pick up point for the 100E Airport Express. This was very convenient, especially having a very early morning flight. From the accommodation, you can easily walk towards main attractions like the St. Stephen's (Szent István) Basilica, Elizabeth Square, Fashion Street, Chain Bridge, New York Café ! To enter the main building, you will use a code sent to you prior, then a different code to enter the GSB accommodation, and then a key for the suite. This certainly makes one feel very safe and comfortable, I must say! Overall, it was a worry-free, exciting and relaxed break in Budapest, and the accommodation made our visit even better :-) Suite: Exceptional ! The room itself was spacious, clean, comfortable, bright, modern! Choosing GSB for my stay was the best decision. The room also had a balcony which was great. A communal kitchen with everything and any appliances you could ask for also available for use, with a coffee machine at hand, which was fantastic! Also in the suite: complimentary coffee capsules, still water, wine, hair dryer, towels and toiletries. I would definitely recommend GSB to anyone visiting Budapest, and I myself would certainly stay there again next time!

Having chosen a suite with balcony, this overlooked a main road near Astoria M. This essentially meant a busy road in the evening times as well, with tram routes passing by every so often. However, this does not change my excellent feedback for the property itself, as you cannot help the traffic noise :-) Our stay was perfect, and the noise was not a deal breaker in this case! Everything else was top-notch.

The apartments are located in an old stone house with high ceilings in the very center of the city on a beautiful street full of shops, boutiques, cafes, restaurants, and souvenir shops. A few steps away there is even a 24-hour pizzeria, which is very important for tourists arriving late. Across the street is the Hungarian cuisine cafe Drum, where everything is delicious: from goulash, soup, to traditional desserts with poppy seed filling. A hundred meters away, on the other corner, is the Astoria restaurant. Many cafes and bars for every taste. The apartment itself consists of a spacious room with a private bathroom with shower, two wardrobes, safe, table and chairs, a large bed with bedside tables and a balcony. The shared kitchen for 6 rooms is modern and well equipped with a dining table. The kitchen has an oven, microwave, induction hob for cooking, coffee machine, kettle, water filter, dishwasher, dishes, cutlery, as well as such nice little things as plastic bags and cling film. The staff is very friendly, welcoming and always ready to help, speaks English and Russian, which was doubly pleasant for us.

Location: easily to get the main Budapest sightseeing spots and to major train stations as well as long-term bus central stations! Ps. The hotel is at the 1th floor (which in my country is 3rd floor, meaning you have to climb 2 floors to reach the GSB! Btw, you can take the elevator with ur luggage) Facility: shared kitchen with refrigerator to put TOKAJ wines ,and many kitchen utensils (ex. corkscrew, beer opener,etc) Staff:the hotel team are very friendly  to answer my questions quickly and provide extremely useful travel tips ! The owner Alex gave a compliment TOKAJ white wine !

Alex is the man! When I read all the reviews that said how good Alex / the host was, I just chalked it up to normal host compliments that you read everywhere else. We were traveling by bikes and were only staying 15 miles when the forecast called for rain in the early afternoon. We pinged Alex to see if we could get there much earlier than we had originally said and if we could store our bikes there while waiting for the room to be ready. He obliged. It turned out that we arrived even earlier than that, so we got to the hotel around 11am or so. We waited maybe for like 30 minutes while Alex got the room all set up. That was great. I saw him running around a lot, so I knew he was busy. After the first night, I noticed that the shower drain was painstakingly slow, which meant you had to turn the shower on very low to prevent leaks. I originally didn't say anything since I've asked other hotels and hosts about such things, and they could never do anything about it. But I decided to ping Alex the following night to take a look at it when he got a chance. The next day when we returned from or daytime excursion, the room was made and the drain flowed without any issues. I was so happy. LOL Now, I could take showers full blast. I also now know why everyone sings Alex's praises. He deserves it!

I thought the towels could be thicker, but at least they weren't paper thin and filled with so much starch that they don't even bend like at some hotels. The breakfast buffet at the Astoria Hotel at the corner got boring real quick. On the 2nd day, we were sick of it although the communal eggs were the best we’ve had at any hotel. Unfortunately, we had 4 days’ worth of vouchers. If you stay in Budapest for an extended period, I suggest you explore the other restaurants. The one right next door looked pretty good.

Location was great and closed to tram station , metro Astroria and 100E airport shuttle bus stop. The room was very clean, big and comfortable. There was also fully equipped kitchen at the common area which we could use for breakfast and late dinner. I felt like staying at my friends’ house than service apartment 😊. The welcome drink was impressive as it was a bottle of hungarian wine. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Despite no 24 hours reception,I could contact them anytime via what app and could leave my luggage after checking out and picked up later. Also useful information was provided during check in including how to access the place which was one floor above with lift I really recommend this place and definitely stay here again for my next trip to Budapest.

Very clean and spacious apartment, well situated for reaching the centre of the city. A lovely touch was the welcome gift of a bottle of Tokari wine (plus two bottles of water). Although I didn't use it, there was a beautiful, well-equipped kitchen that included a dishwasher and microwave. The owner and manager were very friendly and welcoming. The list of recommendations (restaurants/cafés) was great - with so many available it was very helpful to have some help in choosing options. On the day of departure it was great that I could leave my luggage in the apartment, picking it up before catching the bus to the airport. The bus stop was less than 10 minutes' walk from the apartment - ideal.

The day I arrived I was a little disappointed at the street entrance to the building - quite a lot of building rubbish, which created a negative impression (totally at odds with the beautiful apartment itself. Thankfully all the rubbish was removed by later in the day. There was no functioning bed-light that I could control from the bed - my fault for not adding if it could be sorted.

The room was clean and It was being cleaned everyday. The bed was comfy and AC was good and working ok. There was a safe in the room. Closets were big enough and there were enough clothes hangers. There was a fully-equipped common kitchen in the facility that we used only for storing our beverages in the fridge.

It would be better If there had been a mini fridge in the room. As a welcoming gift they gave a bottle of wine which we didn't drink. Maybe non-alcoholic option as a gift could be considered for some guests in a way.

There is a lot to like about this place. The location is excellent, the room was large, impeccably clean and very comfortable. The same can be said about the bathroom. The staff was always at hand, quite generous (a complimentary bottle of wine was offered at our arrival) and very friendly. You will most likely find pretty much all that you need here and the price is relatively ok (aka not excessively high). Definitely a place to return to.

Keep in mind that there is no fridge in the room. There is a very large one in the kitchen area, but that area is shared by all the rooms. It is an area in which you will find everything you need (and then some), but if you prefer a private kitchen area, this is not the case. Be aware also that the heating system is probably connected to the entire building, so if, in a colder night in October, you would like to heat the room, you don't have that option, it depends on the entire system.

Fabulous location very close to the vibrant Jewish Quarter; transfer from the airport on the E100 bus was good value, ticket machines are located near the bus stop. The apartments are a short stroll to a tram stop and Metro station although the majority of sightseeing can be done on foot. The apartment was spotlessly clean with access to a very well equipped communal kitchen. The welcome bottle of Hungarian wine was a nice touch that we enjoyed. Staff were friendly, helpful and made recommendations for various eateries throughout the City. Across the street is a patisserie, Croccante, that serves fresh croissants, savoury and sweet, pretty much 24 hours a day alongside other sweet delights. Would highly recommend.

Nothing not to like; I will just point out that the main entrance to the whole building, not Global Suites, is a bit shabby but don't be put off as this is not reflected in the apartments.
