A lovely peaceful hotel, tastefully and unobtrusively furnished, and ideally situated a short walk only from the attractions of Buda. Local taverns, better doubtless that Jamie Oliver's pizza house, if you either turn right out of the hotel to the end of the road, or turn left, go to the church, then turn right again – where there is also an excellent supermarket with a huge choice. Upstairs there too is a little café, away from tourist crowds, at the back of the extensive gallery wine store. The hotel staff speak excellent English and are most helpful. Recommended.

Despite superb coffee and orange juice, the choice for breakfast could be a little wider, and the scrambled egg somewhat more frequently renewed. It is a shame that even small meals are unavailable in-house, but as shown above, restaurants are only a short distance away.

It is a small, nice hotel located in the very center of the castle district. A few minutes walking from Matias' church and the royal palace. It is located in a side street so that you can avoid the hordes of tourists in the area. Our room was huge, had a good size TV, complimentary Nextresso and a safe. The bathroom was also huge but a bit outdated. The matres was very good and firm. The quality of the breakfast was good and varied. Overall we were very comfortable even if some aspects could be improved.

We expected more for the price. The bathroom needs renovation and the holder of the shower was broken. The breakfast room was too small and staff serving the breakfast should be much more proactive.

whilst the hotel was in a great location for the main attractions on the Buda side. Everything was closed by 10pm all bars and restaurants Last bus from the chain bridge was around 10.30 taxi was expensive £28 from chain bridge. You can buy daily or combination bus tickets, took a bit of work working it out but buses worked well in the end.

Location in the Castle district. Large bedroom and bathroom. Good breakfast with variety of foods.

Shower screen seal was very mouldy and split......needed replacing. Mouldy around bath edge. Shower head did not fit into holder on wall......hose too short. Door to fridge loose. Reception area was bland and not very welcoming and on our arrival there was no receptionist.......we had to wait more than 5 minutes for someone to turn up. Female receptionist rather moody and not welcoming. Garden area unkempt and could have been much more inviting.

The hotel is located in Buda Castle area, so right on the spot for the most well-known area of Budapest. It does not have parking (we arrived by car) but they will give a discount on the whole-day parking fee which is required for entering the Buda Castle area. The staff was very friendly. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. Free wifi worked without problems. Breakfast had a wide choice of things.

There was nothing not to like. The hotel is perfectly located in one of the best parts (also touristic) of Budapest.

Fantastic position in Buda, just some 200 m from St. Mathias cathedral. You need a ticket to enter the zone, but the parking costs only 7 Eur per day. Rooms are clean, big and comfortable, staff very friendly and helpful, good breakfast. Excellent price for quality - but I was there in low season (end of January). Lots of restaurants nearby, but don't go out too late for dinner, especially in winter, because in many restaurants the kitchen closes quite soon! I struggled to find one still open after 8 pm. I recommend Fekete Holló.

The friendly staff, that speaks English very well, up for a chat, offering good service :) Beds were comfortable, the room was a surprise too. We actually slept in one of the rooms that's shown on the website! That was a first! Breakfast was good as well.

The bathroom only had a bath. And there was no way to hang the shower head on the wall, so you'd have to hold it with one hand. I had to shave kneeling in the bath tub which wasn't very comfortable.

Buda Castle Hotel is what it says on the tin . Located 5 min walk from the World Heritage sightings: Renaissance 15th century Matthias Church, Buda Castle, Fisherman's Tower. Spotless clean throughout compared to other Western city hotels in terms of location and price. In January this is still under £90 / 100 €. Price includes breakfast - cooked ( you need to let them know what you would like to be cooked from the menu) or continental style buffet : plenty of cheese, salami, salad, fruits etc - please see photos. The basic double room was huge and spacious much larger in comparison to other Budapest more expensive 4 star hotels. The beds are XL king or queen size - extra pillows can be found in the sliding wardrobes. The outside lobby area is very welcoming - it has a minimalistic but luxury feel to it. I can't emphasize enough that in terms of price and location this is an exceptionally good hotel company to other cities - which are most of the time a huge let down in terms of price and quality.

Only minor ( slight sulfuric thermal water odour in bathroom - but these can be eliminated by fragrance installed)

Location excellent with 16 bus taking minutes to reach the other side,of the river and all the castle sites beside the hotel.. Breakfast very good with buffet serving hot amd Cold food. Breads. Pastries, eggs and Bacon, cereals, fruit, yogurt Room big and, spotlessly clean with big comfortable. Bed. Also had a. Fridge. Toiletries and Coffee were replaced daily. Would definitely stay here again and recommend.

Only item that could be better was the making of the bed. I understand linen not being changed for environmental reasons but the linen could have been shaken/folded daily..

We stayed for a couple of nights at this elegant and modern boutique hotel on the Buda side (Buda Castle District). The hotel location is great as you can reach the major sights such as Fisherman’s Bastion and Matthias Church within 5 mins. It just takes a 10 min walk to reach the Buda Castle. The check-in / check-out was a breeze with the front desk staff pleasant and helpful. Our room on the third floor was big, had all the amenities and stairs led to a bed above the living room. The mattress & pillows though soft were comfortable and we could sleep well after each day spent exploring the Buda side. The bathroom fittings were modern and we really enjoyed the hot water shower. The breakfast area on the ground floor had suffcient tables and the breakfast spread was plentiful & varied. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return if we visit the Buda side of the city again. Just note that dining options are extremely limited in the Buda Castle District and quite expensive. We also spent a few nights on the Pest side (other side of Danube) at a different hotel, so we could see the rest of the historic sights in Budapest.
