Everything! Right from the amazing host to the location and views. We spent our New Year’s Eve here and stayed 4 days. We couldn’t have loved it more! My friends love coffee and were so delighted to get a made to order coffee by the host every morning with the breakfast. Breakfast spread had tons of varieties. There is an elevator. Subway stations and trams are literally in front of the building. Lots of restaurants in a walking distance. The personal effort from the owner is very evident and makes the whole experience very warm. Would absolutely recommend this property to anyone!

The owner was very helpful and knowledgeable giving us good advice, tips and hints to make our stay more enjoyable, the breakfasts were spot on with a good selection of meats, cheeses, fruits and cakes to choose from. The room was very clean, comfortable and quiet, the bathroom was spotless and roomy. The building is on the very edge of the town centre so it's only a few minutes walk to the nightlife but far enough away so you are not kept awake by the madding crowds. There are some nice restaurants and cafes within a minute's walk and the famous indoor market is just across the road. This is an old building with huge doors, winding staircases and uneven flooring, if you want a super modern hotel then this isn't for you but if you want a down-to-earth quirky hotel then book it.

We stayed here before joining our Viking River Cruise Excellent size room, twin as requested, couch & coffee table. Corner room with great view. Close to river just out the window. Great Market Hall across the street. Typical European breakfast, cold meats, cheese, fruit etc. Very central for our needs. Small lift otherwise plenty of steps. Food places nearby. We like to walk so unsure about public transport, was just across the road but didn't use it. For 2 friends great choice of property. Hand wash & shampoo supplied

Shower did not drain very well. Also power point (socket) in bathroom was not attached to the wall, very dangerous in my opinion. Asked to be fixed but was not. We did have a little trouble accessing property. Pushed intercom. Maybe we miss understood what to do, lucky someone was coming out and able to open gate to take us up to accommodation. No towel rails or toilet paper holder. No bathrobe as stated. lacking toiletries. No conditioner or body lotion.

I booked the Butterfly apartment based on the location and viewpoint of the city, which holds dear memories. Upon arrival, there is a secure front gate that is coded and likewise another to enter the main entrance. Our apartment was on the second floor, and if you don't fancy the exercise of the stairs, you can jump into the lift. When entering our room, the first thing to do was check the view, and it didn't disappoint. Our apartment had one large room and a separate bathroom area that were well sized and equipped with all we required. I knew we had the breakfast option with our stay, but I guessed it might be some cereals or toast, perhaps, but I was very wrong. In the morning, we entered a communal area and was greeted by András who was warm and friendly. Breakfast was a mix of pastries, meats, cheeses, breads, and yoghurts. Andràs took our order for a fresh coffee and served us at our table, which was unexpected but a great touch. On the second morning, he didn't have to ask and remembered our coffee choices as he did for the other guests. This apartment is in an old charming building that is full of character and history. Location of the apartment is fantastic, opposite the central market hall and a stones throw away from the number 47,49, and 2 tram line, which is all you need to navigate your way into the heart of the city. We had a great stay, and the value for money was excellent for the time of year and the breakfast also. A lot of stays now are not personal. You just collect your room key and away you go. András keeps the personal touch and goes the extra mile, which for us was super appreciated.

Just a few small issues. Our shower holder was broken, so using the shower head was tricky , and the water drained very slow, which could be due to being on the second floor in an old building. Lastly, our mattresses did slope inwards, which is a sign of wear and tear. We didn't take away any points away from our review as in the grand scheme of things, these are minor things that can be resolved easily.

Convenient location right at the start of the main tourist street with 200 meters away from tram stops and 300 to the metro station. View on the bridge and market is adorable. Not needed much because of included breakfast, but a lot of cafes downstairs. Exceptional hospitality, all recommendation and advice from the owner made our stay in Budapest unforgettable!

First of all the location was exactly where one would want it to be. Right in the center where you can reach everything by foot or even by underground. The breakfast was yummy with sweets and bread and their traditional items. I am coeliac and the owner took good care of me too - offering bread and cereal. The room had 1 central heater and 1 airconditioner and bathroom had a central heater too. We ended up switching on just the bathroom one. There was a small fridge in the room which came in handy + we had a kettle together with 2 mugs. Being coffee and tea lovers this was more than appreciated.

The location is brilliant. A walking distance from many attractions and public transport (metro and trams) is right in front of the building. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes and shops nearby. The room is really big as well as the bed which was great. We were pleasantly surprised by having a fridge and kettle in the room as it's not very common in European hotels/accommodations. The breakfast was good. We met the host, who was very nice and gave us so many useful tips that made our time in Budapest really good. We were allowed to leave our luggage behind after check-out, which we appreciated. We received very detailed instructions on how to get to the building prior to our arrival. Overall, it is a great value for money, and we would definitely stay here again!!

The door to the bathroom wasn't great and it would be good if there was a little hook for a hand towel in the bathroom. Also we could hear a noise from other bedrooms and from the street but these were only very minor issues.

Very good location. Close to stops (bus, train), easy to get to/from railway station and airport by public transport. And this stops are in one level, no need to use stairs or underground passages, what is very important when you're with heavy suitcases and big bags. Almost in the centre, close to all main sightseeing places, on the central street Vaci, close to the river Dunai. The very best ever, clear and detailed manual how to get to hotel and where to get keys (really, I've never seen such easy to understand directions). Very good breakfast, with plenty of fresh backing. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Big bathroom, comfortable bed. And what is very pleasant - the welcome greeting was written near every room, and it was in guest language! So, only the best impressions about this hotel.

Really good value for money, we got a much bigger room than we expected with an amazing view of the Danube. The bed was big and comfy, there was a fridge, sofa and nice bathroom. Free breakfast is also a big plus. I am used to staying in hostels and cheap hotels - this bnb is cheap but feels like I should be paying a lot more for what I get.

The toilet sometimes made weird noises. And occasionally it gave off a smell of sewage (it wasn’t us😂)

I enjoyed quite a lot staying at the Butterfly Home Danube. The instructions provided to get access to my room were quite precise and I was contacted a few days in advance and was asked about the time of my arrival. The room is beautiful, very spacious, with a magnificent view of the Danube River and the bridge. It is clean, neat, and very bright. Andras and his wife are very polite and helpful. The coffee is very tasty and there are several options for breakfast.

The noise from the bathroom and the toilet. This was quite disturbing.
