Everything was great - room, breakfast, staff, pool, location. The fact that it was “adult only” meant there was no noise from children running down corridors or causing havoc in the pool. It was super quiet & totally relaxing after the big days of city exploring. There were 2 metro stops within a short walk - a blue metro & the yellow metro (which took us right to the Szechenyi baths). The breakfast is insane - so much choice & completely different every day of our 5 day stay. The staff were super helpful & friendly - special shout out to Gabor & Regina. They also provide separate pool towels & even slippers. Plentiful toiletries which were replenished whenever we used them. There is even a “pillow menu” - you get to choose what kind of pillow you would prefer after your 1st night. Absolutely brilliant hotel.

Very small problem with the water from shower leaking out into the toilet area. It was fixed a bit but continued to be a problem which we didn’t really mind - used towel to mop it up. It was reported so hopefully fixed for next guests.

In all my years of reviewing hotels etc I have never given anywhere 10/10 ...until now!! Everything about this hotel is first rate, top class. From the moment we were booked in we were treated like old friends and made to feel very welcome. We were straight away offered tea, coffee, or a cold drink. The hotel is spotless, the staff are so warm, helpful and friendly . This hotel goes above and beyond with the facilities it offers and the well thought out touches offered in every room. Our room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Thoughtful touches of slippers, bathrobes , coffee machine and fridge were supplied. Beds were very comfortable and bedding of a high standard. The rooftop pool is delightful, clean , towels provided , showers, changing rooms , a large bowl of fruits to help yourself to as well. Breakfast !! ...amazing, lots of choice , good quality , hot food and a great choice of Continental, they even have quality sparkling wine on offer to have with your breakfast !! Teas, coffees , hot chocolate etc and some complimentary pastries are available day and night ..just help yourself! The location of the hotel is great as well, it is only a short 5-7 minute walk to St Stephens Basilica. I really cannot say enough great things about the high standard of this hotel, the amazing breakfasts and the wonderful staff who work there. I want to say a big Thank you to all the staff ...you are doing a great job. This hotel in my opinion offers everything at a very reasonable price. 10/10. Very impressed 👍 😁

Amazing hotel. Big rooms, great shower, incredibly comfortable bed. Absolutely quiet - no noise from outside or neighbouring rooms at all, despite the hotel being busy. Great choice for breakfast, all very fresh and tasty and no problem getting a table even at busy times. The staff were all very friendly, cheerful and helpful. The rooftop pool was great, with views over the city from it and the rooftop terrace. Lovely location to chill out with a cocktail at the end of a day of sight-seeing. The hotel was in a great location- just a few minutes walk from 2 different metro lines, which both connected to the main station. One of the best hotels we've stayed in over our many years of travelling throughout Europe.

Everything was great.

Decent location in the citycenter, modern, stylish athmosphere, close to the main christmas markets and local restaurants. Room was nicely decorated, with large space and comfortable beds and bathroom. Staff are extremely polite and professional at the front desk. Helpful and friendly service in every spot. Breakfast is continental, includes everything what we wanted to eat. Additionaly, the coffee and hot chocolate machines are great touch!:)

It is just a missing detail .We would like to listen chill out music at the pool. Spa music or similar. There is a cosy corner next to the breakfast corridor with sofas.It would be lovely to listen christmas music at this time.:)

Hotel Cortile offers an excellent location in the heart of Budapest. Just 300 meters from both the metro station and the Opera House, it's perfect for exploring the city. The WestEnd shopping mall is also conveniently close, only one metro stop away. What really stood out was the hotel's prime position for both cultural attractions and practical amenities. Whether you're interested in sightseeing or shopping, everything is within easy reach. The staff were notably friendly, which always makes a stay more pleasant. Their welcoming attitude contributed positively to the overall experience.

If I had to mention one tiny detail for improvement, it would be that the shoe cleaning machine in the lobby was out of cream. However, this is such a minor point that it hardly affected my stay at all.

Perfectly positioned and the staff are faultless! The room was very spacious, the pillows bed so comfortable and the room was beautifully clean! There is nothing really negative I can say about the Cortile, only positive! All the staff are friendly, knowledgeable and approachable, breakfast really nice and the coffee machine and pastries a lovely touch and well needed after trekking around the city! I would recommend the Cortile to anyone without hesitation.

It’s really not a dislike as it’s one of the best City hotels we’ve stayed in but never mastered the temperature controls- had to sleep with the windows open but it wasn’t noisy so not a problem!

Loved the room, breakfast, rooftop pool was excellent and so relaxing. Loved the way they communicated and nothing was too much trouble. Even looking after your cases or late check out. Loved how near it was to St Stephen’s, Fashion Street shops. It was very easy using bolt and uber app to visit special places like the Zoo, Leo’s rooftop bar - food was excellent and Twentysix-Six restaurant is a must see and heroes square, Szchenyani spa etc, fashion street shops, fisherman’s bastion, buda castle, Vajdahunyad castle etc.

Nothing! Maybe the roadworks outside but this was not the hotels fault. They even put us in a room away from the noise.

What a beautiful hotel. Honestly couldn’t do enough for you. You can choose which pillow you wish, just ask reception. Bed was comfortable. Room was very spacious. Loved the layout. First night there was some noise , going on till 3am. I spoke to the general Manager and he said it must have been the residents across and couldn’t do anything about it. It was fine after the 1st night. Breakfast has loads of choice. I just reheated a few poached eggs , which I must say were lovely and presented nice with rocket and balsamic vinegar. Reception gave lots of information and so helpful. The pool, we used once. Loved the bubble bed. It was lovely and warm in the pool area when it was so cold outside. I would definitely stay here again. I would highly recommend anyone staying here.

From the moment that we arrived until checkout we had a fabulous experience staying at the Cortile Hotel. The staff without exception, were friendly, efficient and very helpful, I cannot praise them enough. The hotel is in a perfect location within easy walking distance from most of the main attractions and there are plenty of restaurants and bars close by. The excellent reception team made several great recommendations about places to eat or visit and made reservations for us. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast, which is included in the room rate, was wonderful, plenty of hot and cold food and lots of variety, we loved trying the Hungarian options which changed every day. The staff worked very hard making sure everything was topped up and fresh. An added bonus is the lovely roof top pool and bar which is a great place to relax and enjoy the city view. All in all a fabulous experience.

Nothing, everything ws perfect

The front desk staff is worth mentioning for their enthusiasm and willingness to assist. They make you feel welcome and are seemingly always available. Nice lobby area to wait in, breakfast was excellent and had so much variety. We enjoyed the fact that it was different each day, with a nice balance of local and continental options. Large, comfortable breakfast room. The hotel is newly refurbished and spotlessly clean. The hotel staff also assisted in having my left-behind spectacles couriered to me.

The bathroom setup won't suit everyone. The toilet and shower are separate glass cubicles (with strategic frosting) within the open plan bedroom. This was fine for my husband and I, but if you're not entirely comfortable sharing such a transparent arrangement with your travel companion, it may not be your ideal setup.
