The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with any requests or provide recommendations. The room had a kitchen that was well-stocked with all necessary appliances and utensils, making me feel instantly at home. Though the bathroom was slightly cramped, it was well-maintained and functional. The bed offered exceptional comfort, ensuring restful nights. While my breakfast options were limited due to a recent dentist visit, I appreciated the variety and quality available. In addition to its prime location, the hotel boasts a charming décor that reflects the local culture and history, adding a unique touch to the overall experience. The lobby offers comfortable seating, if you must wait for check-in time or a Taxi to pick you up. The hotel's ambiance was warm and inviting, making it a delightful place to return to after a day of exploring the city. The location truly is unbeatable, with easy access to major attractions and public transport. Overall, a highly recommendable stay!

Excellent location being a short walk to the Opera House and on the train line to Szechenyi baths. Staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Tiema and Keira provided information and booked Hop-On-Hop-Off bus for us. Room 203 had 2 single beds, great en-suite bathroom and kitchenette with sink, kettle, coffee machine, fridge and microwave. 2 burner electric hot plate too. Table and 2 chairs in our room too. Window onto street but no noise at night. Strudel Kitchen next-door with yummy cakes and coffee. Many cafes and eateries nearby. Breakfast was very good too with many options available.

In Australia we have much larger doonas so we were unaccustomed to small ones on our beds. Pillows are small and flat, one on each bed, but more are available on request. May be this little mention is a cultural difference and personal preference.

Hotel located in two nice buildings in the pedestrian zone, close to all lovely destinations. Very helpful and welcoming staff. Great maintenance and cleanliness of the rooms. Real city jewel of a hotel. Breakfast can be taken in the main building, outside in adjacent space or in the building courtyard. Fresh lemonade, ice cream and ice tea available at all times. Hotel can arrange your airport transfer, car rentals, Danube cruise and other activities.

Rooms could have been slightly more comfortable or constructed with more attention to usability of space. Breakfast could have been a bit more varied. It is rather simple, very few choices.

Hotel was very central. All the Staff were so mannerly and friendly from Reception to Cleaning staff. Room was really nice with a kitchenette including Microwave, kettle, coffee maker and fridge. Bed was really comfortable. We requested extra pillows on day 2 and they were delivered very promptly. Lovely Bathroom with excellent shower. Great breakfast to set us up for the day. We really enjoyed our stay and would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to friends and family. If we are ever in Budapest again this is where we will stay.

Nothing not to like

I had a great stay at this hotel! Everything was exactly what I needed — clean, comfortable, and well-organized. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and the staff were helpful and polite throughout. Breakfast was just right: not too much, not too little, with fresh options and, most importantly, good coffee. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a smooth, hassle-free experience.

This is a lovely, centrally located hotel. Our en-suite room was a good size & had a kitchenette, including fridge. The bed was king-size, possibly bigger & extremely comfortable. There was a pillow menu, so you could request additional or different types of pillows. The staff were, without exception, professional, friendly & helpful. The buffet style breakfasts were good, with enough choices. You could help yourself to complementary tea in the day (mulled wine in the evening), which was a nice touch. We enjoyed our stay here & would definitely recommend this hotel.

Air conditioning. Bacon at breakfast. Rituals products in bathroom. Kitchenette. Nice shopping not far away. You can walk many places. The staff was polite and easy to get in contact with.

A lot of perfume in the reception, nice if less. The room was dusty/dirty in corners. Could change sheets more, I got sunscreen marks on it and it should have been changed but was not. The curtains are really bad. They should be wider and longer, we woke up early in the morning multiple times every day because all the light. They are not sufficient and it is hard to sleep. No fried eggs at breakfast, no allergy markings and descriptions of what they serve on small notes. Should also be a sign that they have allergy alternatives and you should request from staff. The breakfast buffet is the same upstairs and downstairs, should be more variety.

Thank you for organising the champagne on arrival. Timea was very nice, also helped us to get some food in the area as we arrived late at night. Breakfast it was nice. The garden seats around the breakfast room it was nice. It was good to warm up after a cold day with the complimentary hot tea and mulled wine. Friendly staff around and helpful.

The garden outside the breakfast room a bit cold, I am not sure if the heating system was working in that area. The room had some smell of dampness, had to open quite often the window to refresh the air. The last day of cleaning, it was forgotten to change the dirty towels as it had some stains and to leave some shampoo and shower gel. Just to look around the room for some shoe stains on the celling and spider web. I have said it at the check out.

I've been really surprised by the room facilities, attention to details and the human factor of the hotel. Firstly, we loved the reception and check in by Mario (go Mario!, congrats, you'll have a lovely career in hospitality ahead). He took us to the room and clarified everything patiently (On Site Studios are on the other side of the street, other building, but still absolutely very accessible and easy to reach). In the room, the first comments go to the comfort and amenities. The bed and the mattress is REALLY comfortable, good to have a nice rest. The amenities are also very fragrant and delightful. The room temperature was pretty cosy without turning on the AC. The AC itself was a funny surprise. It is wonderful how the machines were selected to artistically decorate the room, besides their main function. Still on the details, it is wonderful to have a small ice tray in the mini bar, that was with a good selection of drinks. The room is really quiet, well illuminated, even facing a street in the left side of the building. We loved the welcome gift and the care it showed. The safe box is perfect for a 15.6'' computer. There was a problem during the breakfast and another one in the toilet that was rapidly fixed by the Reception, Maintenance, Division and Top Manager. So, again, problems can arise but the efficiency in dealing with them is what converts that from a problem to a forgetable issue. Also we've been to Szecheny baths and asked for a bathrobe and extra towels and we received them from the reception in 5 minutes, with a lovely smile. Housekeeping also have done a great job. Although they don't speak much English, non verbal communication works just fine ;) Finally, a very positive note for the Mulled Wine / Sangria corner with some snacks and fruits throughout the day and for the capacity of luggage-keeping after check out. As a final comment, this hotel team and owner know exactly what they are doing. Keep up the good work!

Breakfast is served in the main hotel building in a two-levels room. The buffet is replicated in those two levels, however I felt that breakfast options are not exactly the same in the two levels and breakfast refilling could be improved. Also, the breakfast staff needs to be more talkative. On the rest, everything was perfect. It is a very nice cost for money hotel!

Opera Garden Hotel & Apartments exceeded our expectations! We were greeted immediately upon arrival. Since we were a couple of hours early before check-in, we wanted to leave our bags to go sight seeing. To our surprise, it turned out that the room was ready and we could go rest right away. One of the receptionists, Kira, showed us to the room and explained everything on the way. One of my favorite touches about this hotel, was the table by the elevator, that provided complementary hot tea, mulled wine, pretzels, apples and cookies for the guests to enjoy at anytime. Once in the room, there was a complementary mini bottle of white wine waiting for us. To further elevate the guests' stay, you can call reception for practically anything, such as extra pillows, slippers, ironing board, room service, massage etc. The hotel has a breakfast area with a wide selection of breakfast foods. You had different kinds of bread to choose from, eggs, bacon, hash browns, sweet rolls, veggies, jams, yogurt, coffee, tea, water, juices. Props for having a great coffee machine and for providing syrops to make flavored coffee. The breakfast area does get busy between 9 and 10am. However, the hotel does provide that information so each guest can plan accordingly. Once we got done with breakfast and returned to the room, we received a phone call from reception asking us how our first night went and if we needed anything else to make our stay more enjoyable. It was very nice to receive that phone call and it shows that the hotel cares about its' guests. Overall, our stay was short but amazing mainly due to the hotel staff. Everything was perfect but if I really have to choose something, I think it would be a good idea to provide more light above the bathroom mirror. The bathrooms are quite dark with dark tiles and I liked that they had 2 mirrors, one magnifying one to see yourself better, however the lighting in the bathroom was a little dark from doing make-up or washing your face.
