The young man at the reception was very friendly and helpful. He quickly fixed an issue we had with the hot water when we arrived, and it worked perfectly after that. He also gave us maps and great suggestions for places to visit. The two ladies at breakfast were equally helpful and even brought our breakfast up to our room. The hotel is in a very central location — we walked everywhere and didn’t need public transport at all. Our room was spacious and had a balcony facing the street. We also received clear instructions on how to enter the hotel at night when the doors were locked, which worked perfectly.

The young woman at the reception, who was there when the helpful young man was not on duty, did not offer the same level of service. Her attitude was unfriendly and unhelpful, which created a poor impression. After accidentally dropping my credit card by the bed, I noticed a significant amount of hair left from previous guests, as well as dirtstaines on the carpet. When I pointed this out, she responded dismissively, simply stating that my room had already been upgraded — and gave me a look as if my complaint was unreasonable. This was a sharp contrast to the excellent service provided by her colleague. Thankfully, she was only there on our last day

Overall, our stay was very good. We really liked the location and the spaciousness of the room. The gentleman at the front desk was extremely polite and friendly, and he guided us very well.

However, I was not pleased with the attitude of the lady at the front desk. She seemed mostly occupied with her phone, and any requests we made appeared to be treated as extra work. Additionally, I wish the bathroom had been cleaner and better stocked with essentials such as shampoo and conditioner, which were missing. Locker in the room was not working. AC was working but was not cooling enough. Carpet in the room needs a bit cleaning too. I am not sure if I felt value for money.

I had a great stay at Butik Art Hotel Budapest! The location is perfect — right in the city center, so you can easily walk to all the main sights. The hotel is very clean, and the staff is absolutely amazing. I arrived much earlier than check-in time (my flight landed early), and they kindly gave me my room at 9:00 AM, even though check-in officially starts at 3:00 PM. On my last day, they also gave me a special card with access to the luggage room and the main area of the hotel, which was super helpful since my flight was in the evening. Highly recommend this place if you’re visiting Budapest!

This hotel is amazing! The guy at the reception was extremely kind with us, the bed and the whole room were incredible as well as the bathroom that was huge. Everything was really clean and we loved our stay, we’ll definitely come back!

The only thing that could be improved is the luggage storage. While it’s already quite secure — located in front of reception and accessible only with the entrance key — it could be made even safer by using numbered tags or coupons to ensure that each guest collects only their own luggage (but this would be just a plus, everything is already perfect!)

We stayed at the apartment for 4 nights and absolutely enjoyed it. We just wanted to stay at a nice, quite place that is centrally located and the apartment was perfect for us. We didn't need much so we didn't book the breakfast option and also didn't get things like housekeeping but still were absolutely fine with what we had. The apartment is spacious and nicely designed. The kitchen is well equipped and the living room is very comfortable. The bedroom is a bit small but was fine for our needs. Overall I think it's a comfortable choice, nothing extraordinary but still worth the 10/10 rating from our side.

The ventilation system in the toilette seemed to work even after turning off the lights, perhaps because we didn't find the off switch or perhaps because it's automatic. If you are sensitive to noises, perhaps you just want to check that and inform the reception. But as we didn't mind it it had no impact on our stay or sleep quality. Also, check out is a bit early (10:00 am) which for us worked fine but might be a bit early for some people. These aren't big issues but worth mentioning to help you make your decision. Overall this place is recommended and we will definitely choose it again on our next visit to Budapest.

The staff is very kind and always at your service. I can see they work hard and truly deserve a salary increase. 🤑 Breakfast is great with a variety of options on your table, but I would suggest adding a few extra dishes. If you stay for more than two days, having the same breakfast every morning might become repetitive. The hotel's location is excellent and very safe. You can walk to all the popular attractions, so there's no need to use a car, bus, or train. Parking is a bit of a challenge, but we found an underground garage for 8,000 HUF per day (around €20). Additionally, you can enjoy coffee and tea from the machine for free, which is a nice touch!

The hotel should heat the room before arrival.

Fantastic location, central to main Pest attractions with lots of good eateries/supermarkets nearby. Highlight was a courtyard to relax in with a complimentary coffee from the desk, very appreciated. Bedroom a good size with comfortable bed, decent clothes storage and quiet. Breakfast was simple but nice, however on the busier weekend the staff did struggle to deliver on the basics such as availability of coffee & the room felt crowded (it’s a small room) so get there early, much more relaxed in the week.

the breakfast was excellent, particularly liked the coffee and the bread and pastry the complimentary wine, biscuits and coffee was very generous and a nice idea, as was the pleasant courtyard to relax in. the room was very comfortable, overall everything had been really well thought out to ensure i had a pleasant stay.

I suggest a little variety of a change from omelette each day particularly if staying over a few days, however It was very nice and very well presented by the lovely ladies each morning. The buffet breakfast was lovely and maybe a little more variety of fruit could be on offer, my last breakfast there was a solitary bruised apple and no other fruit.

Great clean cosy small hotel, tucked away , so very quiet. Perfect for what we needed, a comfy bed and great shower. The communication was amazing and put us at ease arriving at 1.30 am with brilliant instructions. The taxi they organised for us was also fab. It is a 10 minute walk to the river danube just up from the chain bridge. Reception was so kind and helpful, advising us on a brunch bar and other useful info.

There was nothing to not like. The duvet situation was unusual but didn’t affect my stay. 2 single duvets on the bed.

I quite enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff is amiable and always willing to help, e.g. organized me a Danube River cruise and agreed to change my room since the first one had an unpleasant smell. The interior of rooms is spectacular. The breakfast is not various, but delicious, and personally for me it was enough. Additionally, I have not encountered any problems with water and Wi-Fi.

Since my new room was prepared suspiciously fast, it seems that the cleaning lady didn’t change the bedding as one side of the pillow smelled like someone had already slept on it, and there also was someone else's hair on the bedsheet. (I didn’t contact the staff about this case as I was too tired). The sound insulation is very poor, which was sometimes frightening, especially at nighttime.
