I LOVE the Cotton House! ❤️ This was my second stay, so that my family could also experience its unmatched character. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, although that may apply to Budapestians in general; all the ones I've met have been lovely! There is a wide range of breakfast items served in the beautiful cellar dining room, although the items do vary from day to day (make sure there's bacon every day, please!).

You do need to provide coffee making facilities in the rooms. You would have been a 10! Also, provide duvets the size of the bed rather than the Budapestian (?, or Hungarian?) custom of providing two single duvets on a double/King bed; it's weird to us foreigners. I still LOVE the Cotton House, and I'll be coming back! ❤️

Excellent, helpful and friendly staff at all levels. Breakfast good and in a lovely area/room. Interesting and somewhat historic (Art Deco) building. Hasn’t been over modernised which is perfect. Take away and restaurant food is readily available very close by. As a less agile older person the bath would benefit from handles to help getting in and out. The short walk from the public transport was good. The small area of street leading to the hotel isn’t the most salubrious but it’s worth it.

The only place on our journey to offer a glass of prosecco for breakfast (this gets a 10/10 for breakfast options ^_^). The staff were really friendly and great to talk to when we arrived. The location is really great, not to far from a major train station and walking distance to some major tourist attractions.

The only issue we had was the shower head in the bathroom had a tendency to fall off the wall mid shower.

Lovely hotel with genuine character! Good location and nice staff, but the absolute win for us was the lovely atmosphere. This is not your average generic city hotel like an Ibis, but a historical hotel with lovely classic details (used to be a live band, jazz band, club). It’s very fresh and clean, but has something extra. Also - sparkling wine for mimosa breakfast!! I would absolutely come back for the great atmosphere.

The elevator was a bit moody.

Loved everything about the stay! The rooms were really good; clean and had all facilities. The breakfast was fantastic. Loved the food and the selection. The staff were extremely nice. Even let us keep our bags for a while after checking out, so that we could see more of the city worry-free! The stay is so very beautiful! Has a retro-antique feel. I don't know why the place isn't more famous! Coz for me it was the perfect stay in a city like that. The vibes were just so so so great!

Friendly staff, good location, pretty good value for money would recommend it

The room was to the backyard of the building which is no garden or so but the entry point of all doors of the neighborhood. So even if people moved quiet in and out their houses it was pretty loud due to the building structure and sound echo. If you book I would recommend to check if you can get a room that points to the street side and not the backside of the building

The service of the man at reception, really friendly and they put sparkling wine and glasses as a bonus because it was our anniversary free of charge.

The jets from the jacuzzi could have been cleaned out. Lots of limescale and bits came out into the bath.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We checked out before breakfast on our last day, so they ordered our taxi and packed us a takeaway breakfast. The room was newly redecorated so clean and the bed was very comfortable. Everywhere was walkable from the hotel, although it is situated on quite a quiet street.

Very minor details, no drink facilities in the room (there is a mini bar), for a four day stay it would have been nice to make our own drink. There was only one socket in the room, so irritating when trying to charge multiple devices These are small things though, and we would definitely recommend and stay again.

Location to public transport..my mum could travel for free on all transport as over 65..just had to carry a photo i.d to show if asked..I paid £10 for a 3 day travel card for all public transport. Lady on reception was exceptional Warm comfortable rooms.but could open windows if needed to cool. Few restaurants and bars within walking distance. Nice breakfast in a beautiful basement

We loved the overall ambiance of the hotel - especially the basement breakfast room. Steve on reception could not have been more helpful - thank you Steve for your assistance. Also, we loved having champagne for breakfast

The air conditioning unit in our room was very noisy - and also, we had problems operating the safe in the room.
