The most pleasant and memorable thing about our stay in the hotel was the staff,the people who helped us with everything 💖They were friendly, very sympathetic about the war in Ukraine( which is a sensitive subject for us ),always there to assist with any request ( they brought the microwave and iron with the ironing board to the room in 10 min after we’ve asked ). The hotel is situated near a green park in the safe area,and coming back home late wasn’t a problem at all. The rooms very cleaned daily. And having a separate kitchen in the room is always a big plus. We were able to cook whatever we needed if we overslept breakfasts.

The room has got old worn out furniture and the doors need painting. But it didn’t really ruin our stay 😅

The hotel is located near a convenient transport interchange, it is convenient and quick to get to the other side of the river. There is a small cozy park next to the hotel. A shopping center is very close. The room (for three people with a kitchenette) is large, the beds are comfortable, there is enough space so as not to disturb each other. The administrator issues one key, but it is possible to leave it at the reception. At night, the hotel is closed, you have to ring the doorbell to be admitted.

I booked a room with payment on the spot. Two weeks before check-in, the hotel debited part of the amount from the card I specified when booking. During check-in, I was charged the full price of the room, excluding the prepayment. This was explained by the fact that the difference can be paid by paying with the same card, necessarily the bank card that was specified at the time of booking (but such conditions were not warned anywhere). I paid with the same card, but through a mobile phone. The administrator assured that the difference would be returned to my bank account in 3 days. So far 5 days have passed and the funds have not yet been returned. I hope that the hotel staff will be honest and return the overdrawn funds.

I found this hotel to be so charming! I love the retro style throughout the hotel Charles . And the bed I found to be so comfy! Everything is perfect. The view from the window onto Buda is serene, and really pretty at night. There is a bus stop across the road and another around the corner. Hotel offers bus tickets but I got the BudapestGO app and got a weekly ticket anyway. The buses are only 5ish minutes to the centre or to Pest. A shopping centre is like a 5 minute walk, through a lovely dog park. The area is really nice and peaceful. I also found the breakfast really amazing! I don’t eat pork so can’t rate the sausages or bacon, but everything else is 10/10. The János étterem is amazing, had a steak dinner and it was absolutely beautiful! Wow. + the staff here are awesome! So lovely and courteous. Hotel actually exceeded my expectations. I ended up extending my stay

I really liked the hotel, very friendly staff, the advantage of the hotel is also in its location.

the disadvantages: the air conditioners need to be replaced with new ones, the room was poorly cooled, and I still did not like that the night administrator on the day of our departure from the hotel for some reason accused us of using a mini-bar and we have to pay for it. of course, we refused because it wasn't true, he apologized that he was wrong. but it was unpleasant for us

Extremely spacious room. Air conditioning. A fine spot to take a bus, bus stopped in front of hotel. The staff was very helpful. Very tasty food in the hotel. There were windows that could be opened with a fine view outside. Good amenities, small kitchen and a roomy refrigerator that worked really well. Very nice for families. Great breakfast and staff extremely polite and helpful. Good offer for the money. Private parking.

Some trouble was given to us the first day but managed to compensate us for the trouble. The hotel was a bit old. This side of the city Buda has quite a traffic jam if you want to cross the river to go to Pest and vice versa. Most of the interesting staff are on the other side of the river.

The hotel it is very well located, at the reception they provided very useful information about the city and the Buda and Pest sections, for people above 65 years old, public transportation is free. The hotel it is humble and comfortable. The best of the hotel is the help of the staff.

The restaurant was not available for dinner, it requieres a little bit of maintenance to make it look nicer,

The hotel arranged a late night taxi from the airport very efficiently when our flight was rescheduled. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and well equipped. Breakfast was good and in pleasant surroundings. A regular bus service stops right by the hotel and goes directly to the city centre.

I stayed in Hotel Charles on two separate occasions in April and May. The location is ideal- the city centre is within walking distance if one wishes and is very accessible by bus. The relevant bus stop is right outside the hotel and tickets are available from Reception Staff. The staff, both day and night, were very friendly and most helpful. There was ample choice for Breakfast and I availed of Lunch and Dinner on different days and was very pleased with the choice and quality. Overall, staying in Hotel Charles on both occasions was a very pleasant experience.

Good breakfast (always full tables), a big room, very nice staff (perfect communication), perfect parking place. Good locality - not too near to the centre but it is possible to get to the important places by foot or there is a bus stop in front of the hotel and you can buy the tickets for the bus in the hotel, which is great.

If you have the room in the direction to the road, it is noisy. But we had the room with the view to the parking place so it was good.

The hotel was basically as we expected. The room was a bit dated, but was a good size and worked well for our purposes. The hotel is right next to a bus stop, making it very convenient to get wherever you need to go.

The shower was dated and a bit fussy, but it worked once you figured out the trick of it. While there is an elevator, there are a few steps to get to the elevator at each floor, so it's not accessible for anyone who can't climb stairs.
