-location, location, location -10min to Pest -10 min to funicular to castle district -1 street away from river walk -front desk staff very organized & helpful -breakfast was good (except the scrambled eggs were lukewarm and there was no microwave to rewarm them) -very roomy size room (#25) -amazing water pressure !!

Bed could be better Tub should have a door instead of a shower curtain. As the tub is very narrow, it was hard to avoid touching the curtain ! (also, since there is such great water pressure, the curtain is blown around and water gets outside the tub area. The towel bar over the tub enables doing laundry which is great for travellers. !

The location is what makes this little 3 star hotel special. It’s very close to the River Danube (great views) and also Buda Castle (accessible via the funicular). The rooms are clean and the hotel is in a quiet street. We had a nice time in Budapest.

The hotel needs investment. The bathrooms are very small and need upgrading. The breakfast was OK but I didn’t like the coffee.

The staff were amazing and were very friendly, I was given a warm welcome and advice on the nearest shops. They were able to deal with any issue I had promptly. The beds were really comfy and the air conditioning worked a treat. The location is great with a short 10 minute walk into Pest and its nearby Buda castle and Rudas spa.

For me I felt some of the decor was a little dated (wood panelling and dark wood doors) but that is just my personal taste.

Such a clean, cozy old style hotel in a great location, right off the Duna and next to the castle. It reminded me of the hotels my family and I used to stay in back in the day. The staff is amazing, friendly, helpful and easy to talk to. I felt like they were genuine and hospitable people who went out of their way to accommodate me. I was able to check in early, which I really appreciated. I will definitely come back again. Thank you for hosting me.

Location was excellent for both sides of the river. The breakfast was a continental buffet style together with eggs and bacon. Our room 54 was on the top floor, lift was quick. Shower over the bath, lovely hot water. Safe and fridge in room and bed very comfortable.

The room was not the largest and had a sloping roof on one side with large window in the roof giving only a small view. However it was perfect for a 4 night stay.

I was in Budapest for the annual Wagner Days, and spent 8 nights at this hotel. Once I had worked out the easiest routes to get around I really appreciated the location, which is very close to tramlines. It also felt very safe, which is important for a solo female traveller. My room was large, with two single beds, very clean, and tidied up every day. Although it was on the first floor there was practically no street noise, and the air-conditioning worked perfectly. Staff was invariably friendly and helpful.

Breakfast, which was included in the price, was adequate, apart from the rather chewy croissants which I tried on the first day and avoided thereafter. It would be significantly improved by adding a sweet pastry like a pecan or cinnamon roll.

Location was excellent. Close to many attractions with plenty of restaurants and bars near by. Very quiet location. Breakfast was adequate but more fruit would have improved the start of the day. The deluxe room was good although the bathroom was small but well equipped.

No complaints.

Overall the hotel was okay good location for transport.

Unfortunately we booked the wrong dates on our booking, we had to rebook the room and we were charged a very hire price, because the grand prix was on I Budapest that weekend. I people at the hotel were very greedy, they would not give us any discount

Nice small hotel in a perfect and quiet location close to the downtown, nearby the river and castle. Rooms are simple but clean and well furnished. The staff is helpful, breakfast is nice. Paid parking garage is 200 meter from the hotel however you can park your car for a limited time just in front of the hotel if you need. We recommend Orion Varkert to all travelers who want to enjoy a couple of relaxing and nice days in Budapest. All interesting touristic places and good restaurants are in a walking distance.

Great location, so close to the Danube River! Close to restaurants, shopping, museums, and historical sites. Rooms were comfortable and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast and it was perfect for an easy start to our busy days.
