Location was the main reason for selecting this hotel. It is located in the old jewish quarter and in amongst some decent restaurants and bars. The room was a good size and was decent enough for the price. Our interaction with the staff was mininal, but they were always courteous. Our housekeeping did a very good job. Outside noise was actually much less than expected based on previous reviews. It is on a side street, so not right amongst the crowds.

There was an annoying grinding noise that could be intermittently heard especially early in the morning. Sounded like it might be air in pipes. Not sure if it was part of the hotel or the adjacent building. The bed and in particular the pillows was no very comfy.

This smart hotel is located in the heart of the city, meaning that you can walk around and basically get everywhere in 10/15. It is surrounded by many coffee shops, restaurants and some of the principal attractions of Budapest. 10/10 recommended for these reasons. Additionally, If you are looking for a sustainable place, this smart hotel is the right spot for you. Everything happens online (through an app) with which you can do both checking and checkout, asking for general enquirers, turn off and on the heating etc. Quite cool, as it allows to avoid the use of plastic in general, such as the room keys and heaters control.

I cannot say much negative about this property, the only thing would be the breakfast. Honestly it is so poor and wouldn’t recommend it. It is a buffet set up, which can be great if the quality of the product were actually good. There isn’t a bar, where you can ask fresh coffees or juice and no hot dishes are available as I do believe there isn’t a kitchen. €11 is the daily cost for each individual, but with the same amount of money you can get much better options just few minutes away from the hotel. My recommendation would be the arán bakery, which has an amazing selection of sweet treats freshly made (the almond croissant 🥐 let me tell was beyond perfection) or either the Fluffy coffee and Brunch, 10/10 hot dishes such as eggs benedict and avocado toast. exceptionally friendly and helpful staff make a big difference in this hotel (both the night check in gentleman and the lady at the reception in the morning were very friendly and volunteering to help), the room was large and very clean and the furniture modern and comfortable, the wifi signal was good, nice wide desk for your laptop, great storage rooms on the ground level for after you check out (they even give you secure keys to make sure your bags are locked and safe), at night it was quiet (because the room was overlooking the inner yard), nice comfy long bed, towel rails to dry stuff

I cannot fault the KVIHotel. The staff are kind and helpful, and always on hand if you have any questions/need anything. The location is perfect, the area feels really safe. I walked to every sightseeing/tourist attraction from it. The hotel itself and my room were clean and modern. The housekeeping staff do a fantastic job. I stayed in a deluxe room, it was incredibly spacious. It had a mini fridge which was helpful for keeping little snacks and drinks cold. I liked the glass walls of the bathroom- perhaps it could be a touch problematic if travelling with family or friends, but you could always ask in advance if you want to avoid this. The hotel reception has a filtered water tank so that you are able to get free, fresh, filtered water on tap 24/7 if you have a reusable water bottle - I found this really helpful and the water tastes better than bottled, I found. I didn't try breakfast so cannot comment on this. A huge selling point for me is that as a solo female traveller, I felt really safe here, you need your key to enter the hotel lobby after a certain time of the day which made me feel really safe at night. I would recommend this hotel to anyone - fantastic value for money for what you get.

I found the pillows much too thin and soft, however this is personal preference, as I prefer firm pillows. There was a bar/apartment complex to the back side of the building (not on the entrance side) which is very loud with music/talking, making it near impossible to sleep, but this isn't a reflection on the hotel itself and I presume it's not something they can control.

Good value for money hotel, with ideal location making movement around the city easy. I originally booked another hotel but cancelled it as this one was significantly cheaper. The staff was amazing and helpful at all times which helped a lot during our stay there. While situated in the busiest part of town, it's not loud. Overall we were happy with the choice, to repeat, it was.very good value for money. Also the offer free water which was cool

Despite the general happiness with the hotel, I am not sure how it clarifies as a 4 star hotel. Aside from every day cleaning there aren't any other amenities. Just to clarify, it was a great stay and a good find, but just to manage expectations, I am not sure how the rating system works, but certainly didn't get a 4 star hotel vibe.

Travelers can skip this part, this is more for the hotel management. You have narcissistic, know-it-all employee at the check in desk. I usually don't write such reviews as I don't want to make problems for people. But this one was beyond everything... Please explain to your employees, that travelers comes after a long journey, it could be 1 hour or more than 24 hours, travelers are tired and the last thing they want to hear is teachings from the stuff, what they have must been done. My recommendation to give them a training regarding this topic. Thank you. Unfortunately, this situation influence your hotel reputation. For Travelers, this hotel is a very nice place and it deserves 9 out of 10 from my point of view. However facing the situation above ruins the experience.

Great location, facilities, the bed is so comfortable, very friendly staff.. The elevator was under maintenance for half a day and the manager of the hotel was very nice trying to solve the problem for us because other family members couldn’t use the stairs. Also the receptionist suggested us so many nice places to visit in Hungary. Free parking for the hotel!!

Great boutique hotel in the heart of the old Jewish quarter. Easy to walk to the main sights and close to the ruin bars! Very quiet at night though. Excellent reception staff and very good facilities. When the app didn’t work they found a quick solution. Very big, comfortable room, all very clean. Unfortunately the AC didn’t work but as the weather wasn’t very good it didn’t affect us. Also our shower didn’t drain very well but it never flooded!

The location is central and close to important attractions (Synagogue), restaurants (Mazel Tov and Balagan) and ruin bars. The reception staff is very friendly and helpful. The bedroom is big and comfortable. The professional Nespresso machine with three capsules every day is nice.

The floor cleaning was missed one day. The taxi office working with the hotel is not good: the price higher than the market value (normal taxi from the airport costed us 11800 Forints, the hotel taxi costed us 14000 Forints). Lots of Bolt and Uber, so arrange your own taxi.

The room was quite large, the bed was comfortable, using the app to control the doors and also the AC in the room worked without any issue. The staff were helpful in the initial setup of the connection between our phone and the room. Other than that we didn't require the staff's assistance but they were still at the reception at all times. The room was clean and the bathroom and shower were great

The room could have used a bit more lighting, the main section of the room had some areas that remained dark even after turning on all of the lights. In the shower you get a combo body wash and shampoo, and it didn't feel very effective
