If you are looking for a quiet stay in South Goa, this is a great place to do it. The 230-yr old property provides a great backdrop to your downtime. The staff is very friendly, sometimes going out of their way to accommodate some requests. The chef made some local breakfasts for us and we absolutely loved them, especially the ros omelette which blew our minds - so much so that we asked the chef for the recipe . All in all, it is a wonderful place to unwind.

There was some mold in the bathroom. We also found a couple of dead cockroaches in the bathroom one morning. Based on the location, I suppose it is difficult to keep the local fauna out. Finally, though not a big deal, my wife and I were asked pick the same breakfast rather than try different options. I completely understand that picking the same option makes it easier for the chef, however, it does restrict couples from trying different things at breakfast.

We had a wonderful weekend getaway at Rosastays South Goa. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful especially Anil who looked after everything we needed throughout the stay. We appreciated the chef allowing us to watch him in the kitchen and learn about Goan food. We had breakfast and dinner there everyday as the food was just so good! Room was clean and very comfortable bed. Not too far to go to the beach and lots of bars and restaurants but also in a peaceful area away from the main hotels and tourist spots for when you want to relax.

Anil and Iyyappan were very hospitable and arranged everything we needed. (Taxis, Scooter rental, trips) The local, fresh from the market food was always very enjoyable, made to order.

Probably with good intentions, I was offered a room in the main historical building after 2 nights which wasn't quite as comfortable due to the ceiling fan making a noise. After I mentioned the ceiling fan I was promptly moved back, so no real complaints.

The staff, especially Anil, are very welcoming and attending. The breakfast is nice and the meals at dinner better than anything I had in a Restaurant in Goa. Very calm at night.

The bedsheets were washed but had stains, the light switches in all rooms could need a cleaning. The accomodation is quite isolated, you can't reach anything by foot.

Location, Staff .. property manager Iyappa and caretaker Anil went length and breadth to make our stay comfortable. Breakfast was good. Property is very tastefully decorated and maintained well. Entertained a last minute request for lunch…

Wifi signals aren’t great across the property.

Loved the location, the building, our room, the platform high up on the tree, the garden with the night blooming fragrant flowers, the decor, and above all the person attending to all our needs, providing us with a great driver when we were leaving the next day. He is always ready to help us with a smile below his eyes with glasses.

Good staff, humble and polite..catered to all our requests promptly Rooms were spacious and clean. Upholstery and furniture in the room very well placed and arranged. Crockery was classy..Breakfast was very good overall villa was very beautiful in its design and the greenery Pet friendly our Golden Retriever enjoyed walking in the villa freely.

When we enquired about the rooms, we were told that they cannot accommodate more than 3 in a room..whereas with a sofa cum bed in the room 4 persons cud be easily accommodated..if this was considered we could have had more family time together..we would hv been happy to be charged little additional..

Breakfast was delicious, we usually had a marsala omelette and whatever the indian speciality of the morning was. We ate in the garden or at the communal dining table. The staff were very attentive.

A little more prior communication as to what the breakfast menu was for the following day. There is no alcohol licence at the property so you need to bring your own - this was not communicated. The staff are very happy to serve it and chill it once bought though. There are no sunbeds or anywhere to lie around the pool.

We often dream about holidays to be perfect in a certain way & when you get that - the feeling is Ahhhh. I give you 5 reasons to stay here: Property - quiet, classy, comfortable, tasteful, beautiful - gives you the feeling of your own:) Staff - Polite, Helpful, Sweet, Accomodating. Denzil is a star. He does his job meticuolosly and has a gift of engaging you:) Cook ( I think Ganesh) & the guy who serves food ( can't recollect his name) - They are gems to have. Food - From Goan food to Puri Bhaji to yumm jams - everything is fresh, tasty & so home like. P.S. they take time to make so yes place your order in advance. But good food takes time:) and that's how it should be. Love it guys!! Location - The property is facing complete greenery & coconut, mango trees. It's just picture perfect. Pool is not very big but perfect to make you feel owner of that property:) It's kid friendly. It's close to Cavelossim Beach ( 8 minutes car). But the drive with beautiful Portuguese houses is what you have been waiting for. And the best market of Goa is there. This can be a home for every mood - Secluded, serene / Party, drinks, madness/ Read, Drink, Converse...That's the beauty of it. This is going to be my go to place in Goa. Lovely and peaceful, we were only here for one night before a wedding and it was the perfect place to stay after our flight. The food was also lovely.
