The hotel is very comfortably situated - just near the finest and very clean beach. Although it needs insignificant renovation, total atmosphere is charming. Hotel territory is quite big and green. Room is quite spacious and comfortable.

The breakfast is very poor for European minded guests. Lots of Indian food (mainly bread, pankakes, dal and vegetarian curry) is supported only by eggs, bacon a little bit of cheese and sausages. The bed was extremely hard. The staff is not very attentive: several times we asked for cleaning the room and they failed to do it on time. Also there are swarms of crows, which sometimes are very aggressive.

Everyone here is extremely friendly, which makes using all the great facilities an even nicer experience! From morning breakfast with amazing dosas from Prasad, lovingly made pancakes from Trivendra, and a very attentive waiting team, to lunch at Castaway with Vaibhav and the others, drinks at the pool bar, sunset at the beautiful expanse of white sandy beach, and dinner at Carnaval served by Mayank, the whole day at Caravela is pure pleasure. We stayed in one of the villas, which offered plenty of space for our family. The kids loved the comfy beds and sofa to lounge on, the cleaning team was very good, too. We appreciated our morning coffee from the Lavazza coffee maker before heading to the breakfast buffet with a spread of fresh fruit, eggs to order and all kinds of continental and Indian options. We stayed for 5 nights and spent the mornings at the pool which is nice and clean. A short foot path takes you to the beautiful long beach with a restaurant and beach shack (we didn't eat there, see below). The water is shallow so ideal even for smaller kids. We spent hours just playing in the waves, bodyboarding and then watching the sunset. We rented bikes one day as the sand is firm enough to bike on at low tide, but the relatively poor quality of the bikes made it much harder than necessary so our kids didn't enjoy that part. I asked to borrow a yoga mat for myself at the spa for the 5 days we were there, and the staff there again made me feel like there's nothing too much to ask. The kids took part in some of the activities offered by the Children's Activity Center which adds a nice change to their daily routine of pool and beach: paper art, towel origami, scavenger hunt and cupcake decoration were appreciated by kids and parents alike. We had initially booked for a shorter time, Duty Manager Joanna really went above and beyond to make an additional night at the villa possible, which made our life a lot easier.

As in most bigger hotels in Goa, winter is wedding season and we had two separate 2-day wedding celebrations taking place during our stay. While most of the action was somewhere on the sprawl of land between the beach and the hotel and doesn't bother you too much, some parts took place either very close to or on the beach, which meant that the accompanying music / noise makes it a lot harder to enjoy your time there, e.g. have dinner at the beach. We opted to go to one of the other shacks further down the beach to avoid the noise.

It’s spacious and well maintained with huge green areas and clean beach. The architecture gives old world charm. So if your aim is to just relax and enjoy the sea and the greens, it’s great. The staff is well trained , courteous and makes you feel welcome.

It’s meant to be a self contained leisure beach resort and it’s great for that. Don’t expect to find anything nearby or an ideal location to go Goa sightseeing from there. The pre paid taxi services are resisted by the local operators. So, if desiring local sight seeing , be prepared to shell out extra.

This was the 4th time we were staying at Caravela and it did not disappoint us. The property is fantastic no doubt - but the little things like the room maintenance was great, the taste of the food still remains unchanged and is fabulous, the breakfast spread is something to swoon over! We're so glad that we chose Caravela again - it was a short, but a hassle-free stay! And last but not least - the staff - smiles all the way!! Kudos for upholding your standards through all these years.

Just one little thing - the phone had a foul / unpleasant smell - we experienced it each time we had to speak to someone regarding housekeeping or in room dining. It probably was wiped with an unclean cloth. Also, while you are already aware of it, you still need to do something about this fake .org website that is operating under your name! It's actually maligning your name.

Food can be better

I liked the sandy beach, it's really clean and natural. One suggestion is that you must have staff. Having staff will make things easier to cater.

hi there. the property is very nice and far from city, which makes is more peaceful. the fact that there are so many foreigners living in the property, please make sure all of us get the same treatment. I mean I literally saw someone pulling back a dining chair for some random foreigner guest, which was really awkward because she did not pull back my chair. Such discrimination with the guests is not right. all guests should be treated equally.

First and foremost the grounds … the 24 acres are beautifully maintained on a daily basis. There are plenty of sunbeds in all areas of the hotel (pool, beach, green areas, outside the villas, plus hammocks to relax and recharge whilst taking in the lush green scenery). The actual resort building is also beautiful in architecture. The resort offers a whole host of activities to keep you occupied during the day including golf, mini golf, tennis, taking a bike out onto the beach or crafts and classes. Some of the activities are free of charge and some of them are paid for. Either way, there is an abundance of things to do to keep you entertained and occupied throughout the day if relaxing is not your thing. If relaxing is your thing then there is plenty of space for that too! There’s also the spa (and we thoroughly enjoyed the Indian full body massage) and also a gym and steam room. The hotel have golf buggies that can take you around the resort from one place to the next upon request. The variety of restaurants is also great so you can have Indian, Pan Asian, Italian or Seafood and more! The food really is quality and simply flavorsome and delicious. For breakfast it's buffet style, with a number of Indian stations where the food is cooked fresh for example Dosa, Paratha and then also an omelette station and a pancake/waffle station. Again the food is in its abundance and delicious and the staff are very attentive to any extra needs you may have depending on your dietary requirements. The service here is exceptional. The staff are friendly and ready to attend your every need but without being invasive. They really have understood good customer service and are ready to help in anyway to make your stay the most enjoyable possible. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Caravela and were made to feel most welcome.

Suggestions to further improve the experience at the Caravela: 1. A rail on the balcony where you can hang your wet clothes. 2. Breakfast and dinner buffets starting earlier at 7 am/p.m respectively. 3. Having 24/7 access to the gym. Opening at 8am is too late for early risers or those who have other activities or tours booked. Same goes for the mini golf and beach bikes- better to do these activities earlier at 6/7am to beat the heat. 4. When booking taxis to popular tourist spots, the travel desk staff should know and advise the best time to go so as not to miss specific opening times … we went to the Basilica and the Cathedral on a Sunday morning to beat the heat, but they weren’t open to visitors until 11am so we missed seeing them from the inside as we were far too early.

I have always loved this property. It is adjoining a long clean beach. The rooms are nice and well maintained. The bathrooms are decent too. The breakfast is excellent. The pool is huge and caters for everyone, including toddlers and kids. The pool bar is great as well, and I had some nice cocktails there. Overall, it is always a great experience at Caravela! We had a nice game of pool as well as the Spa is superb.

The property could do better on menu option during lunch and dinner for their buffet. The rates in their main restaurant are really high for the quality of food. All other restaurants are okay.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Caravela Beach Resort, and I must say it met my expectations. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-appointed, offering both comfort and a touch of luxury. What truly stood out, however, was the staff — warm, attentive, and always going the extra mile to make us feel welcome. From check-in to departure, every interaction was marked by genuine hospitality. Special shout out to Ajay (F&B Manager) & his team for taking such good care of us. The property itself is stunning, with lush greenery, a pristine beach just steps away, and ample space to relax and unwind. Whether you're looking to lounge by the pool, enjoy beachside dining, or simply soak in the peaceful atmosphere, Caravela delivers on every front. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a perfect getaway in Goa!

A couple of areas that could use improvement. The food options felt limited, especially for a resort of this scale — a bit more variety would have made dining far more enjoyable. Also, the deluxe room we initially stayed in was a bit underwhelming in terms of size and overall feel, especially when compared to the garden view rooms, which were far superior. Despite these points, Caravela remains a great choice if you’re looking for a relaxing and scenic escape in Goa, and we’d definitely consider returning — with a garden view room booked in advance!

The check-in procedure was smooth. We were welcomed, given a drink to settle in, and taken to our room in the buggy. The room was air-conditioned when we entered. We enjoyed walking around the property and lazing around. The property is safe, vast and abundant. The breakfast is good, although it gets crowded if you go late, so go early. Want to specifically thank a few staff who made our stay memorable. Babyrose always greeted us with a smile. She took personal care of us during breakfast and ensured that we had a good time. Ankit was forever attentive to our needs during lunch and dinner. He even went out of his way to ensure that our dinner was made exactly to what we requested. Ballerin was very thoughtful and had great conversations with us. She was kind enough to ensure that I was taken care of during my birthday, and even went out of her way to give us complementary ice cream, when we least expected it. All the staff were exceptional and it really felt like they enjoyed their time working at Caravela, nevertheless, these three staff i mentioned really went out of the way to make us feel like we were having a wonderful vacation.

Everything was perfect.
