Best hotel we've stayed in in India. It's clean, the bed is good, the shower is good (hot and enough pressure). 15 min walk (or short rickshaw drive) to a good restaurant called Palmshare. Close to the airport.

Nothing. But don't stay here if you want to be close to the city. We stayed here because it's close to the airport and one of the bus stops from the bus from Pondicherry.

Large enought a room! The bed was excellent, and I must say, after 7 days/nights in Tamil Nadu, beds are always excellent. Some people seem to complain they are too hard or too soft, but I say, having sometimes slept on steel-hard beds e.g. in China, here in TN, the softenss is optimal. And great size - you can sleep sideways! :) The location was great from the airport but amazingly, no less than half an hour from downtown, So you have the glass half full - if you need to get to the airport early, stay here! Moreover, the initially chaotic looking like 200 businesses around do include at least a dozen very competitive tasty if basic restaurants, so you can always fall back on these. I did not manage to research during one night stay better concentrations of restaurants in downtown area. They also booked a reasonably priced car to Mamallapuram (1600 INR if I remember correctly) - this was on Jan 29, 2025, about.

No real windows with outside view - but again, I haven´t had those in India so far. What is it? Importantly, I cannot say anything really negative.

The location was excellent for us, as it is really close to our office in Chennai. The staff was really nice and always ready to help. The room was quite comfortable (including the bed and pillows) and had most of the things we needed. We were given bottled water and fresh towels every day, which was really nice. The street where the hotel is located doesn't look as good, but it is safe and really close to other shops and restaurants.

I was missing two things - a mini fridge (but we managed without it anyway) and a shelf in the bathroom where we could put our stuff. The rest was really good, no other complaints.

The hotel looks new, it's clean and tidy, our double room is of decent size. It is located in a small lane approx. 30 metres from the main road, hence lot quieter. A bus stop for the frequent a/c government bus to Mahabalipuram (Mamallapuram) and Pondicherry is opposite the main road, very convenient although we needed to ask people at the bus stop to flag down the right bus for us. Alternatively, it's a short uber ride to the bus terminal. It's also just a short uber ride to the airport. A metro station is less than 5 minutes walk, although we only travelled around by uber since it's very affordable. A number of restaurants and local eateries on the main road, Hyders Biryani is a good mid range restaurant, the local joint at the corner sells freshly cooked snacks at super cheap price. The hotel manager is very kind, friendly and attentive, he provided useful tour and transportation information, and tried his best to help. Just a note, not a complaint: The hotel is closer to the airport than downtown, it's fine with us since uber is convenient and cheap. The neighbourhood is chaotic, untidy, dusty, noisy, it doesn't bother us as this is just typical urban Indian scene. Besides, we feel very safe even in the evening.

It would be perfect if our room has windows for natural light. Our room's small balcony looks into the homes of the adjoining building, the only use is for hanging laundry, not sitting outside. We found out later they actually have rooms with windows so maybe ask for one if you wish.

Hot water showers, staff, location to the airport. Room service meals.

We stayed 3 nights and didn’t get rubbish remover each day until we asked, had to buy our own water daily and room was not serviced. Maybe request a room away from the stairs and noisy people Coming and going wake you up (not the hotels fault).

Fantastic location for Ekatuthangal Bus Stop and for the airport. The staff were very helpful in answering my questions before I arrived and were very welcoming on arrival. The room was comfortable and had a kettle, tea and coffee and hot water. The air conditioning worked well. Everything needed for an overnight stop en route to the airport.

I only stayed for one night prior to catching a flight so did not explore the local area.

The room was spacious and they were generous with the amount of drinking water provided. It was cleaner than most other places that we stayed in India. Located within a 20 minute drive from the airport and walking distance to the metro station.

At first the staff told us that the EFTPOS machine did not work, which was not true. After asking again and explaining our situation (we had just exchanged our Indian rupees as we were flying out early the next morning) he called the manager who talked him through how to use the card machine.

Place is very close to Ekkattuthangal Metro station having lots of eating places around. The staff is friendly and helpful.

There is no restaurant within and you are dependent on swiggy and Zomato for your food or stepping out. Also, the hotel is located in a small lane which makes it difficult to locate and park a car if you have one along

No surprises. The place is clean, friendly and comfortable. Good bed, good size room and everything works. Great option for spending the night near the airport.

It is a short way down a side street that can be a bit uncomfortable to walk at night for someone new to Chennai but it's perfectly safe.

Kings Palace met our expectations more then we anticipated. The front office staff & their team made us comfortable throughout our stay at their abode. It was just perfect, perfect & perfect. Moving forward, our only choice in Chennai will be Kings Palace! Keep up with your good hospitality and services Team! Till we meet again .... ps : For a change we stayed at RainTree Anna Salai during our last 2 days in Chennai ... it was a disaster!!!! For the money we paid ... we received mediocre services, uneducated staff at the Reception with a superior &*^%^ attitude and room was so run down. A big BOO to them!
