1. Room facilities and size for same category rooms were inconsistent. Room 202 was much smaller than 203, had only one chair compared to the two chairs in 203, did not have a dressing table facility 2. No hand towels provided in rooms, only bath towels 3. No towels at poolside. Also, no changing room. People were walking to their rooms dripping wet leavng the corridors wet and dirty

It is an iconic and one of most beautiful hotel property in country. In my youth staying at Bolgatty was a dream but since then my stature has gone up and Bolgatty gone down because it is a government hotel and in modern standards it is maintained at a cheap motel standards.. Even then,I loved staying at Bolgatty beacuse of nostalgia and the affection towards the Bolgatty name but if you are looking for luxury and modern standards then Grand Hyatt next door should be the choice.Then again it is reflected in the price, having only paid £178.00 for 4days including breakfast, i cannot really grumble. In addition, the staff were wonderful even though it was a government hotel.Braekfast was also really tasty.

Lovely location, right on the water. Perfect spot for beautiful sunsets. Although, if you want to pop anywhere outside of the hotel (shops or other restaurants it would be quite a walk or a rickshaw - but not too far). Comfy beds and nice bathroom. Staff were all very friendly and always willing to help. Had drinking water refill :)

It has so much potential but feels like it’s ready for some TLC/upgrades. My room had a damp smell to it. I was also asked to move rooms after my first night as the A/C unit was leaking. The fridge didn’t work nor did the phone in my first room and there was no fridge in the second room.

There’s a lot of history here. It used to be an elegant resort, and you can feel the care of that went into his development. The view, the rooms, the walkways… All beautiful. Having spent three weeks in South India prior to this night in Kochi, I’ll say that I had experienced better maintained rooms and more varied and interesting choices of foods in other places... But all in all the experience was wonderful, comfortable, food good and the staff went out of their way to be helpful. You can walk to the ferry from the property or take a quick taxi/Tuktuk ride, and make your way to fun, vital areas of the old parts city to walk around.

There was some construction going on, so I have to give them a pass on this.

awsome property . some maintenance issues were there in the room. like water drops and ice pieces was coming from the ac and the water pvc pipe was broken the balcony was wet. but we didn’t raise any complaint because we were very happy with the property and staffs. definitely we will recommend the palce for frnds and family.

This place is run by the regional government - and you can feel it! It is professional, has a charm that reminds you of the Spanish "paradores" or Portuguese "pousadas". The staff is professional, the rooms are clean. They also have cultural events like Katakhali theater plays, if they have enough people - and I strongly recommend Katakhali. The resort s elegant, it is classy. I also like very much that it is secular - you do not find any religious decorations or the like - and that is very good. I really like that it is kept secular. It is a professional, secular, classy, elegant, state-run accommodation. I would highlight the food - the food is very good - and very diverse. Highly recommend the place even if you just go there for the buffet. The location is perfect, with great views. Keep it up guys and girls!

I liked everything.

This was an excellent place to stay for a night or two. The rooms were clean and sufficiently large enough for our family. The food at the restaurant was delicious and the staff was friendly and helpful. The pool and sunset views were spectacular as well.

Be prepared, it takes a while to get to this hotel and I had to hire a taxi at the airport. Uber & Ola were a challenge to get, so getting back to the main city area was a challenge. Just be prepared to be patient.

The palace suite was good, spacious and gives us a great feeling, the buffet breakfast was good, there were many options, the location and the outdoor ambience is excellent.

The standard room was very sloppy, the toilet fixtures are very sloppy due to the poor maintenance, the room size is also small though the view of the late from the balcony is good. The garden and the lawn is not well maintained, overgrown grass and water puddles everywhere

Location and atmosphere is excellent. Morning breakfast is great. Pool is good enough. Kids will enjoy bcz lots of places to play around and seperate kids play area is available.

The bathroom was rather small. They didn't allow me to use my personal camera. Taking pics with a mobile is fine but a personal camera is not allowed that i felt weird.
