I recently had the pleasure of visiting Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu with my family, despite not being familiar with the local language. Our trip was made incredibly smooth and enjoyable, all thanks to the exceptional hospitality of the hotel manager, Balaji, and his wife. They provided us with a clean, secure, and well-maintained hotel room felt like home stay & that exceeded our expectations. What truly stood out was their assistance in arranging a cab for us to visit around 13 temples in the area. I must also extend my gratitude to Booking.com for recommending such a fantastic hotel. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel in Kumbakonam for its exceptional service and the warm hospitality of its manager, Balaji, and his wife. It truly made our visit to Tamil Nadu a memorable one.

When I booked Kumbakonam inn for my recent trip to Kumbakonam from Australia, I was a bit doubtful if I had made the right choice. But my doubts vanished within half an hour of stay in the place. The property & the hosts were simply exceptional. The location, comfort, cleanliness & service, guidance on places to visit & food was simply superb. Hosts Balaji & Bhuvana are the loveliest people & made sure that everything was taken care of including the needs of my mobility impaired family member. Very accessible property. Definitely want to plan a longer stay next year. Would recommend this property to all my family & friends all over the world. Thanks Mr. & Mrs Balaji for this home away from home & not to forget the yummy yummy homely food. Keep up the good work

When looking for someplace to stay in Kumbakonam, we came across this property. It was pleasant and spacious, with plenty of parking. The rooms were very tidy and clean, had all the essential utilities, and served as a mini home that was perfect for our family of four. Following my online reservation, Mr. Balaji called me to confirm my reservation. The following day, after we had left for our trip, he called to give me directions on how to reach the property without difficulty because the map showed a different route. He also gave us suggestions for the best places to stop for lunch along the way or in Kumbakonam by providing names of good hotels, which I don't think other people would do. This went above and beyond my expectations. Although there isn't a restaurant at the property, they were willing to make arrangements through their networks and were able to meet all of our basic needs. like tea and coffee within the property. We were made to feel extremely at ease, and Mr. Balaji gave us a lot of advice on how to organize our trip to Kumbakonam's temples, which was really helpful. In general, I would choose and recommend this property for families and friends, having in mind that it is simply like being at home, and they don't encourage parties or casual stays, which is excellent.

Very friendly hosts! The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and everyone on the property wants you to make a good stay! Home made coffee and tea are excellent ;)! We are a family of 5, have backpacked in Kenya and India in last month, this is one of our most enjoyed place on a reasonable budget. Hot water, laundry service, free wifi, flat screen, working AC are not just a promise as in many other hotels we visited so far. Our hosts are present on the property always ready to help you with anything. E.g : we were looking for dinner and they made proposals and managed the delivery, we were looking for good places to visit and they made tuned recommandations for our group (we have a 6 year boy), we were looking to wash some of out cloths and they helped us with it.... and always with a BIG BIG SMILE ! Million thanks to Mr Balaji, his wife and personnel who have helped us to enjoy the stay ! Hope to visit you again ! We do recommend this place !

I was really happy and felt lucky for having made the decision to stay at Kumbakonam Inn. The list goes long to describe what we liked in the property. The Host (Mr and Mrs GMBalaji) were true professional in maintaining the Accommodation standards and friendly in understanding the our needs.He contacted me a day in advance, gave directions from different perspective so we can cover many places before arriving there, arranging accommodation to the highest standard, Best Cleanliness, arranging food and beverages, recommending places for eat, helpful personalised conversation to maximise the purpose of the visit, and specifically for spiritual travellers staying in his place is great. Most of the temples are very nearby for the Inn by Car. My family really enjoyed the stay. We wanted to extend one more day but due to time constraints we couldn’t do. Not to forget He takes extra care for the safety and security of the lodgers by staying along with his family which really surprised us and we were moved. It was like we were part of his family. Look no further if you want to stay safe and in very good accommodation. The charges was also nominal for the service and care they provide. He gave accommodation for our driver as well. Overall a very pleasant experience which is very rare these days. Keep doing the same service Ravi. Others might as well must learn from you.

The place is a little outside of Kumbakonam, nice and quiet and very well maintained. Balaji, his wife and staff made us feel at home immediately. We learned to paint Kollams, had the most interesting, personal and warm encounters and exchange and were helped with whatever we were interested in - even having a workshop in a local bronze casting factory. We are looking forward to come back to friends whenever we have the chance to visit South India again. The place is perfect for groups as well...

Very satisfied the way the property owner Mr.Balaji supported and guided throughout the stay.. He guided us from the start till the end of the stay which helped us to plan our travel nicely and really impressed with the attitude of the other staff members.. felt very safe to stay with the family.. Neatly maintained.. Thanks you so much for your efforts you took to support us like a family throughout our stay sir.. :)

We stayed in a family room for a night. The rooms , the bed in the property were very well maintained just like a hotel. The bathroom toilet was clean. Mr. Balaji and his team are very hospitable. He follows up with you right from the time you have booked till your whole stay. He arranged dinner for us even though we were late. If you want a quite place with hotel like rooms then you can give this a try.

Balaji was very helpful and supportive from the time of booking till we reached home. The room was unexpectedly good and clean with all the essential facilities which i never seen anyone else provided. Our stay was very short and regret that we could have stayed there for some more time . We entire family loved the place and staff very much. I would suggest this place for whoever goes to Kumbakonam Thanks Balaji

The property is indeed value for money. The staff were very polite and knew their job well. Special mention about Mr.Balaji (the owner) who was very much available for all support and was also very familiar with the temples around Kumbakonam, which really helped us. He also arranged tasty food that was budget friendly.
