This was the best hotel we stayed at during our entire time in India! As we travelled to 5 cities, we went to many hotels, but Ascot exceeded our expectations! It was very clean, the rooms were very pretty and had a lot of space, we were able to have a room right next to our other family members, the breakfast was complimentary and delicious, the staff was always smiling and friendly (Nayim was especially helpful getting everything we needed), and it was very easy to get a taxi to wherever we needed to go that was farther away. It is in a great location and you can walk to restaurants, shops, and the Gateway of India from here. We look forward to coming back here in the future!

We grew to like the Ascot very much, and would probably stay here again. The staff were amazing and eager to please. The location in the bustling Colaba district is great for visitors, and just a short walk to the India Gate and famous Taj Mahal Palace Hotel. The area feels completely safe, and the streets though crowded are friendly. The rooms area spacious. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of juice and fresh fruit and your choice on an Indian breakfast or eggs.

The Ascot rooms are a little run down. You can sense this was previously an outstanding small hotel that now needs a bit of investment and freshening up. The clientel when we were there were mainly Middle Eastern, which may account for the fact that the only TV channels offerred were in Arabic. Hand towels and bath mats appeared irregularly. That said, we like the place. It is good value for money. And did I mention the lovely staff? They were great.

All the staff friendly and welcoming. Comfortable and clean room, no issues at all. Airport transfers arranged each way and everything went smoothly. Location around 15 mins walk to the gate of India and easy to walk places. Breakfast simple, although a little chaotic with orders going to the wrong tables but wasn't an issue.

No real lobby or bar area, a couple of chairs either side of the reception spaced apart from one another. The restaurant area is laid out for meals, so wouldn't feel right sitting there.

Breakfast and dinner were very good. A very good location for travelers. Ascot Hotel helped me by getting me a new hotel due to my putting in the wrong dates. Not only did they help find a substitute hotel, they paid for our taxi to the hotel and sent one of their help to the hotel. We are ever do grateful that they went above and beyond helping us. I will try and put a good review of this hotel wherever I can.

There was nothing to not like.

The hotel is located in Colaba, which is the best spot if you want to visit Mumbai's city center. The room we took was very big and perfectly clean. Also, it was located on the third floor and we couldn't hear a single sound coming from the street. The staff was very helpful and kind throughout our stay. They held our luggages for the full day of the check-out while we visited Mumbai from the morning and our departure time was late in the night. Nayim was especially helpful with us during our stay.

Fabulous location for key sites, shopping, bargain browsing on Colaba Causeway, proximity to several iconic cafes/bars. Small in-house restaurant open for lunch & dinner as well as a la carts breakfast. Staff welcoming and always happy to help. Comfortable bedding and good amenities. Highly recommended.

Absolutely nothing - although perhaps for a week’s stay breakfast choices were limited.

Amazing place. Great people - friendly, helpful and kind. Our room wasn’t read when we arrived, we were offered a rest room where we could refresh, drink chai and wait for our place. Room was very spacious and clean, hot water all the time and AC. We asked for additional bed - which was comfortable too. WIFI was working in the room. All our requests were taken care of. Breakfast was very simple, limited choice, but very tasty.

This is a top location and for the money this was a great hotel. The room was huge, clean, quiet and nicely decorated (better than we expected). The bathroom was also a great size and the shower was great. Staff were friendly and super helpful. Breakfast was great, it was table service with staff offering more food if we wanted it. We really liked our stay here.

The hotel was pretty good so nothing stands out particularly. The restaurant is just off the reception area so lacks atmosphere and the dinner food was just ok (dinning staff were great).

Its location, styling, cleanliness and excellent staff. Perfect choice for walking to key locations and experiencing neighbourhood of Colaba. Several cafe/restaurant options within 10 mins walk. The hotel also has lunch and dinner service.

Couldn’t fault the hotel - although our personal preference would be a little more variety for breakfast a la carte.

Excellent location. Rooms very large with a bathroom. Clean and very comfortable king size bed with very comfortable pillows. Very little noise considering the hotel was in the heart of Colaba. Also a mini fridge!

A little tired. No face towels only bath towels. Lacking tables for breakfast which means a wait or room service for breakfast.
